This one is so hard to get, its easily on par with Stonehenge and Great Bath. You simply won't get it if you don't plan and B-line to the technology and then use chops. Also great to see another wonder spotlight missed them the last few weeks.
Thanks for these videos, it is really helpful for me to improve my skills in the game. I really appreciate your time you put into your videos. Keep it up:)
Volcanoes are seen as mountain tiles, in World Builder you have to put it on a mountain to add it to your world and volcanoes work with the Incas’ abilities
It should be mentioned that you can't rush it either. On a whim, I tried using a Great Engineer to knock turns off and because it's on a mountain I couldn't do it. Yeah, it's kind of a "Duh" moment, but something that some people probably don't think about. I know I didn't.
i once got a spawn where i was on a Mexico style, continent split, where i was squished between Two warmongerer civs. But the mountains made my almost uninvadebel, and they were also posissioned where at least half the none mountain tiles in my area had 3 mountains adjesent to them. It was the perfect Machu Picchu playtrough.
Huayna (Wayna) Picchu is more interesting. Should you ever get the chance to go to Machu Picchu, getting to the front of the line is key to being one of the 400 people allowed to visit Huayna Picchu each day. Be warned, visiting Huayna Picchu does require taking a trail that will test your Incan machismo. Incans really had a love for heights and being right on the edge of drops of thousands of feet.
4 out of what? 5? I just spawned with the Il Kil wonder bonus as the Inca and it had one mountain tile. I had already built a workshop, so it was literally 15 turns to build. YEAH! Faster to build than a settler. The weird thing is I almost restarted the game because I hate Il Kil. Now, I am learning to love Il Kil.
LIterally got Incan and built this. But I am going for Scientific victory, I practically had Flight at 1250AD which was ridiculous... Think I am in space really soon lol
Hey saxy, any tips for helping with housing limitations? My cities will get to around ten people and I run out of housing, but it says I can't build districts until I have 13 or 15 population. It totally crushes my momentum because it won't let me build districts!
John Adams pop isn’t that powerful. Focus more on empire wide pieces like builders/traders/spies/units. I’ve never needed a town with more than 3/4 districts. Make sure your people are working good tiles.
aqueducts, farms, universities give +1 housing. I try to avoid building neighborhoods cause there's a spy operation that gets rebels in them that can fuck you up in late game.
Wait, consistency? Do you mean consistency as in how sure you can get it, or how consistently useful it is? Because if it's the latter you just gave the former... you'd only want Machu Picchu IF you have good mountains, if you don't have good mountains you don't want it! It has nothing to do with luck.
Ironically I’ve found that Machu Picchu is least effective for the Incans, since they already utilize their limited tiles adjacent to mountains with their terrace farms and aqueducts
I do play the Inca pretty much regularly, even with all the mountains, I still pass on this every time unless nobody has taken it and then I go for it when it's less than 10 turns. When I play as the Inca I go for Science and Religion and this wonder doesnt help that so I focus on other wonders or building to help those two fronts. With the Inca you do get bonuses to trade routes but only to trade routes from 1 owned city to another owned city which doesnt provide much gold. You dont make the trade routes for gold, you make the trade routes for food bonuses. Any gold I recieve from a commercial hub or even a harbor if i have a coastal city is just a bonus. I make them for more trade routes, not for more gold or adjcency bonuses it's not useless for the Inca by any means... gold is always nice to have but it's just not worth the production needed to build it for the Inca in my opinion.
Machu Pichu, the best pokemon
Playing a match with pichu on machu picchu
I just imagine a pichu with a really buff body as in "macho" pichu

Engineering is a Classical Era Tech, not Medieval. Plus its also the only Ancient/Classical Era wonder that China CANNOT rush with Builders.
Ah, you're right, totally missed that one, thanks!
rip macchu piccu china cannot get builders on mountains

My favourite Wonder in Civ 6 not because of its bonuses but love the music it plays in its construction cutscene! 😀
Australia + Macchu Picchu = ez culture and era score
just thought randomly does reyna's ability work on mountains if so im theorising the perfect mountain configuration for maximum yields for the incas
After 7 attempts, I managed to build macchu pichu with INCA in deity. It was tough AS FUCK
2:41 Isn't it a theater square, not a theatre square?

Machu Pichu is mucho guddo.
You mad lad, you finally did it you reviewed a wonder I have been to
wait, this wonder gives you gold?
Hard to build on immortal or above, as the AI rushes it. I've gotten it once one immortal, never on deity.
Hard to build in general,ai is obsessed with it
Hey I think you forgot a C! lol
Ironically I’ve found that Machu Picchu is least effective for the Incans, since they already utilize their limited tiles adjacent to mountains with their terrace farms and aqueducts
"Difficult to build"
Yeah cause the fucking AI rushes it
