600 hours playtime, and yet I was completely misunderstanding Kilwa’s bonuses ..... I had no idea it applied like this across the empire, thanks for clarifying!
This wonder shocks the hell out of people when they actually had a careful look. I've seen many tutorials and streamers had a look at this and can't even recall what this do.
And here I was thinking it was a bonus to the +2 Science from Library, and thus near useless unless you had the bonus across the empire (and even then being mediocre). Instead you tell me it is stronk.
The military city states increase production towards units, whereas the industrial city states increase production towards buildings, districts and wonders.
The text on this wonder is really bad. It is basically saying that you get +15% of the yield received from the city-state. So if they give you +4 production you would get 4.6. Which would also make sense based on its cost. But most videos ive seen points out that the +15% bonus to your empire is to ALL science gained. not just the science gained from the city-state. The empire wide part was never confusing to me, the fact that the text dont mention clearly that : gain +15% science in all your cities like it does on the +20% faith one, is just annoyingly stupid by the designers.... So much trouble could have been avoided with some description consistency.

You really love percentage based bonuses :)

When playing as Pericles I always want this wonder but don’t get it fast enough
I definitely think Kilwa is an S tier wonder
omg that's op
Kilwa is increadibly good, I agree.
Hey! I've got a question. How does millitary city states work with this 15% value?
The military city states increase production towards units, whereas the industrial city states increase production towards buildings, districts and wonders.
1:13 if you don't wanna hear about a sale on a game you probably own that hasn't existed for over a year
Have you taken a deep dive on this? As the bonus improves does it keep up with the higher cost of techs etc?
What do you mean exactly? 15% is 15%... it's a set bonus over your overall city/empire output, and is not related to the cost of anything
deep dive department
Kilwa is hard to build on highlands map!
You should use more graphics to explain stuff. The explanation of the percentage bonus wasn't very well illustrated.
bold of you to assume saxy puts any effort into these wonder spotlight videos lol
