I have a mongoose Dolomite fat tire bike and I bent the forks back into the frame on some trails and bent the handlebars down about an inch on both sides.
Congrats on the 3k guys, so pleased for you. Your videos never fail to make me laugh but are also informative and interesting, great work and keep it up 👍

Will do! He wanted to take it down the cats meow but thought he would of gotten hurt due to not the greatest of brakes. So once upgraded im sure he will be just like you in that department ha ha
It feels weird seeing a channel from my home state. I normally never see channels from Arkansas. I am happy I found this channel, because I can understand what they are talking about unlike some channels! Happy I Subbed
Hey man thanks so much! Thats cool to have a hometown viewer ha ha very glad you found us! Which part you from?? Thank you so much for subbing it means alot to us as well!
Join the club!!! The wait may be a long time brother ha ha!But around here there is bikes at Dicks sporting goods now and academy. Maybe look there? Good luck with the search and please let me know what you get!!!
One of the reasons im such a fan of my CCM Brut Fatbike is its got an aluminum frame. I bought it not knowing or caring about weight or really anything, and just got lucky. 44mm cup bearing so i can run a taper steerer, 8 speed with the Shimano freehub, 32t chainring and 170mm cranks. Its biggest shortcomming is the 5 lb each Seyoun tires, but that was easily fixed. I was going to by a Mongoose, but getting them in Canada is tricky. Not that I really need to care about weight all that much but, its the same price as the Mongoose.
Wow you really lucked out man, kinda like us and the GT, there were a few things that were a nice surprise ha ha. I will have to look that bike up:) Sounds really cool, I do like the internally routed derailleur. The Malus if so much fun and Im sure in CANADA you get a bunch of snow!! Got I would love to ride a fat tire it!!
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS yea, you guys have inspired me to do some upgrades as well. I had a few people tell me not to waste my money but your channel kind of inspired me to reconsider that. I’ve swapped the tires with FBR/FBF Minions, added some ODI locking grips and Platform pedals. The Minions absolutely shred in the snow, hopefully I can get back to uploading again 😅 I hate editing 😂
LOL Cool man Im glad we gave you some inspiration and glad you went for it. Nothing wrong with putting money into something you know and trust. Glad you did:) And yes get back into uploading man!! But I completely feel ya on the EDITING!! HA HA I spend about 3-4 hours and thats not including thumbnail and transfering files and footage!!:) See you Tomorrow brother!
Yeah I ordered one a long time ago and Jeremiah never used it. Maybe I can get him to try it out on this build. You think that stock derailleur can handle it? Thanks man.
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS I don't see why it wouldn't work. Definitely worth a try I would say. Good thing you ordered one a long time ago looks like the only way to get one now is the slow boat from China lmfao.
Awesome man! Welcome to the #wolfticknation. We have some Malus videos coming up in the next week or two. Thanks for the sub and we hope to see you around.
Hey buddy thank you so much. We can't even begin to tell you or the rest of the #wolfticknation how much we appreciate y'all. 😊😊🥰🥰This is us feeling the love haha.
My brother got this bike at 260$, Academy left the old price on the shelf and they came through and granted that error. Has 2 strips of leds per wheel for some paved trails we visit and it looks nice! Just something to be seen when on the road. Try it out.
Have thought about that exact thing, lights and stuff? I agree with you and those are the best deals man!!! When they have to honor it, very cool they did. Thanks for the ideas and be safe brother. Will do!
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS just messing around trying to get everything tuned in. Yesterday I rode ten miles in the rain and it performed great. Actually surprised with the tires. There were quite a few mud puddles I had to go through. I bike ten miles a day to go to work... Hopefully this Friday it's nice and I can check out the local bike park/trails. It's supposed to storm for ten days though according to the forecast and they close the park if it's wet from what I read.
I think this is maybe a newer version of the aggressor... Hence the new color... Bc in the description it says 640mm bars but I measured them and converted to mm and they were 720mm... Because my old bike had 640mm n these felt longer do I decided to see if I was trippin
great impression dude hahaha....I've actually looked at this exact bike as a new toy for my birthday coming up on Thanksgiving but I don't think it's be big enough hahaha....I'll keep looking Jack loves his and says he'll never go back to a regular bike hahaha
Ha ha! Thanks brother, gotta get you one. Dad rode it and loved it, you will see in the next malus opener. He's pretty big as well, just a different kinda big👍👍👍
Hey brother, the dropper post is working fine. A little bit of play where the seat adjoins the post, but very minuscule. Still one of the best buys I have got for sure. Highly recommended, oh and the nut/bolt in the lever was replaced no questions asked by KS. Very good customer service, unlike WTB
Hell yeah!! Good for you man I love mine as well and cant wait for some upgrades!!! Gonna have that video out Friday!! Thanks for watching and hope you stick around man, so cool!👍👍👍👋👋
You gotta check out thick bikes in pa. They have fat tire bikes the owner has all the camp things on his bike. He has so idea for your fat tire. Bike. Check out the site you’ll see the pictures.
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS yeah or a lot of gorilla tape 😄 almost sold on getting a fatbike next, I have an entry level hardtail and usually you upgrade to full suspension but these things can be pretty sick when upgraded, cant wait to see how yours turns out
Thanks alot Timbo, full suspension would be cool man but I feel it takes away some feel of a mountain bike? But anyways man the Malus is gonna be a cool project and cant wait to get you sold on one!!!LOL Later man
For sure man, the challenge is the best feeling and when you hit something because of speed and technique and not because that big aXX schock between your legs!
congratulations on 3k subscribers. plenty more to come! pretty interested how that beast rides on the trails. never ridden fat bike, it will be interesting to see your thoughts on it.
I recently ordered one of these, all black. Supposed to have it by the end of the month or so. A couple of upgrades I'm thinking of, that weren't mentioned, is swapping out the front axle for a quick release and swapping the kickstand for a rear mount to get it out of the way of the pedal. Not sure I want to swap out the rear axle. My understanding is they're both solid 15mm axles with a 130mm drop in front and 190mm on the rear. I'm finding it difficult to find decent measure information in general on the Malus, and I don't yet have the bike in hand to do my own measurements.
Man until we tear into them as well, we have a hard time ha ha, so I feel you there. When we started the channel with the GT everyone was on the same page and we all learned together. So its funny with all these other bikes how much comments we get about the unknown:). A quick release would be great for sure, I recently got a new freewheel and will be installing it sometime after the realtime review(coming out tomorrow) and the upgrades stage #1 video. So be on the lookout brother, Kickstand didnt seem to be a problem but I feel ya in that department, my road bike drives me nuts!!! But anyways man im glad you found us and hope you stick around awhile, thatway we can bounce some ideas off ya! Later dude
Man experience with the bike is it is an excellent choice, now as far as the eBike transformation goes?? Absolutely not:( I will tell you what though, a big supporter of our channel goes by the name eBike Mike and he comments most of th time, I would ask him, he has done TONS of them!! Thanks man and hope you can find him
Is there an option to upgrade to a suspension fork for downhill stuff? It seems like it would get really rough or would that kind of defeat the purpose of a fat tire bike
There are a few budget options for a fat tire yes. Now depending in your definition of downhill.....Not too sure LoL 😆 But we agree, would kind of defeat the purpose man, but on the other hand would make one heck of a video!!
The best upgrade you can put on that bike if you're going to ride it on the trails, is a new derailleur. Doesn't even have to be a good derailleur could be just a cheap Shimano. flat-face will do. The basic Tourney has a major design flaw. The problem I ran into is the gears on the torney for some stupid reason are bigger then your standard derailleur gears. So in order for that derailleur to work properly they use a short chain. On a bumpy trail most likely you're going to have issues with the chain coming off. The fix is to use a longer chain. A longer chain will allow the chain to wrap around the derailleur better producing more tension. Can't do it with those big gears because they end up grinding against the Top Gear on your Freewheel. Just about any other derailleur will work fine just not the lower model Tourney.
Appreciate the information man! Thanks we ordered a few new things as you seen and a company threw in the handguards, but also got a freewheel in for it too! The malus video will drop tomorrow(realtime review) then next week the upgrades begin!!!! Later man, oh yeah I answered your other comment as well. Good stuff but I looked up the bike and its the exact frame, and components as the one you were talking about.
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS after looking at your bike a Little Closer, I think it's the same bike I was talking about just in a different color. When I said it looks a lot nicer, I was thinking of the old silver ones. But anyway sweet Channel!, surprised it took me so long to find it.
Its all good brother, we are glad you are here and hope you stick around!!! Oh and dont take so long next time to find us ha ha. We value all of our subscribers and commentors. Thanks man

Another great video I have a cannondale fatt cadd 2 is bad ass like your mine weighs in at just under 30 lbs keep up the great video ps I don’t fast forward
Thanks Juan! Glad you enjoy the whole video man. It helps when people watch the whole thing actually. We never knew that Cannondale made a fat bike. We are enjoying the testing and reviewing of this bike so far. Not sure if we could get the weight down that low on our bike haha. With our plans it's going to be gaining weight probably. Thanks again man.
You are definitely going to want to upgrade those brakes. I have a couple of Fatbikes and the Brakes need to be Great! Once these bikes get moving, they just wanna cruise..
Dude you are so right!!! I was amazed on how long it took to slow her down ha ha!1 So heavy def gonna get some hydraulic brakes man. After all the initial upgrades that is ha ha
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS Yeah brother, these bikes take a lot to stop. I put Shimano MT200 Hydro brakes on all of mine. Im also testing a very cheap set I found on Amazon by Lixada that were under $50 and so far I am very impressed. Changing the brakes changed the riding experience.
I have a Gravity Bullseye Monster Fat Bike. Love fat bikes. You have to equip a KRSEC 26"x 4" Fat Fork with Rebound adjustment and you will be set. With the fatter tires and budget front air fork the ride is so plush, I predict this will be your favorite bike on the trails. Great workout bike too since it is heavier than normal MTBs.
Dude that is a cool bike! I love this bike already and took her out yesterday for a realtime review!!! It just may be my new favorite ha ha you called it!:) Thanks man and hope you keep a watchin! I know you will cant wait for the upgrades:):):)
Knew you were talkin about suspension forks when adding weight but daammn..lol. I'm actually a GT person (bought a new 2020 Avalanche comp earlier this year among my older GT's) but was looking at the Malus to have a winter/knock around fatty for a change. Anxious to see what you say on it. BTW congrats on 3k, found you the other day & like more budget conscience channels for us monetarily challenged folks 😂😂😂😂.
LOL monetarily challenged!! GREAT. Glad you found us as well and the Malus is gonna be a beast when we get done with her ha ha. Those forks though WOW and those new hand guards, you will love!!!! Thanks brother and look forward to some more comments!
A friend of my performed tubeless set up on his fat bike. He claims it reduces some weight. On the freewheel cogs, i think theres a 11t to 36t that you can buy online.
Well we got a new freewheel set coming! A little more teeth ha ah and as for the weight, I think the more the better!!!! Just wait till we ride it ha ha. Thanks brother
Have you seen the new Mongoose malus? Looks so much nicer than the old one. It's black with white lettering. And it comes with the nicer rims that have the holes cut out for weight reduction. $380 pre-order on Amazon. Which is about $100 mark up, but times being what they are definitely worth it.
so why do you say you cant change the freewheel? I had that exact same freewheel on my road bike and i swapped it to an 8 speed 11 to 32 with a part from amazon. I'll eventually replace the freewheel with a free hub but yeah you can do it.
Didnt know I could take the freewheel hub out? Hmmmm...can you please send me a link? Would love to research man! Thank you for the info. I know you can changeout the freehub but not the entire hub?
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS Don't think of it of it as research, think of it as "i have broken a bunch of stuff and had to learn to fix it". www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007A8RS7I/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS You will need a special tool to remove it, but you can get them for $15 or less and if you bought a "bike tool kit" you probably already have one. It should look like this imgur.com/a/sJ6RxLl
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS And basically its pretty easy to do. you drop the tool into the center of the freewheel, twist it and it unscrews. to put it back on you just reverse the process and the freewheel screws back on and you can use the bike to tighten it back in place with the chain or just use the tool. I prefer freewheels or freehubs but it is kinda old school and this will probably be my last freewheel. You could conceivably swap a freewheel for a free hub but you would have to rebuild the wheel down to the spokes which for somehting like the Malus might be the only way to get it on a freehub and cassette, and that is probably more trouble then its worth.
Appreciate the work put into it man, now I watched it back and I should of said you are limited on your options and not cannot change it out as I mention if it had a cassette. I have bought a 11-34 Tooth already:) I thought you were saying you could buy a setup were you could swap out a freewheel to a freehub:) Misunderstanding man!! Thank you though for the links and understanding. One thing I didnt know was all you needed was a lockring tool, which I have ha ha. Just got to try it I guess, anyways man thank you www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XYPH5BG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Hey brother, now my dad is 6'4"-6'5" ish and he rode it with style!!! LOL He loves it man, so that being said I would imagine its your next bike;) Thanks for watching and hope you tune in for the other rides and the Malus upgrades!!!
No man, the rims have massive holes cut in them with rim tape but it is not tubeless, not sure if you can get fat tire tubeless tape?? Maybe it can keep a beas but def wouldn't be reliable....would be interesting though!!👍
I enjoy your videos. You should look into the Shimano Mega range freewheel. If you upgrade the bb you can add a 30 tooth cog. This should give you the range you need to push that hoss around. Upgrading this bike should be fun. I look forward to seeing your future videos.
Great to hear man and thank you for the input, got a 7 speed something or another freewheel thing ha ah. So that is going to be a future video as well as some new tires. But I would love the 30t chainring man, the realtime review will be up Friday and man oh man you must own one because DAMN its heavy and exhausting!!! Thanks brother and hope you stick around awhile
Bike storage facility tour, when? If you cant get your hands on some snow or sand, im sure you could probably find some mud. Are you putting a dual crown fork on a fatbike? Im all for dual crown meme bikes. The steep HTA on the fat bike + the crazy travel from that fork is going to handle weird af. OTB under normal braking? haha. I have to see this.
I like this bike I have the mongoose aztec its like the same thing but its red and it has the same drivetrain and brakes on the bike and it doesn't need suspension just lower the tire pressure a bit and you'll be fine. Overall its a really great bike! , and its very fun to ride and its one of the greatest bikes with lower cost.
Completely agree man! Cant wait for you to see the realtime review coming out tomorrow, I loved the ride and its gonna be sweet with the new upgrdaes coming soon!!! Complete beast! What do you run the tires at?
Ok well that makes me feel better, thanks. I thought I was gonna get a bunch of hate for going that low, no matter whatsome people just love to hate lol. Thanks brother and will do.
That a pretty sweet bike man, if its the one im looking at. Now does the back wheel have a rotor mount on it?? If not will are you willing to buy a rear wheel. If so then that would be such a game changer man!!! Disc is sooooo much better ha ha. The front is Disc right?
It's a dual shock that I got at academy sporting goods the wheels are 26x1.95 mtb el cheapo tires there is a ton of work I have yet to do like replacement of front shock replacement of rear and front derailleur chain rear shock crank system and a new cassette but yeah I want to turn it into a e mountain bike that way I don't have to put up a high fight going uphill
Ddue the uphill sucks!!! HA HA Good luck with your build man it sounds lke its gonna rock. 1X for sure manwith an oval chainring would be tight. "El cheapo"😂😬

Bro...you can make your first ebike. I would look @ a rear 3000 watt hub motor single gear ditch the clutter...vee speedster tires mt 420 brakes frame bag for battery. Just a suggestion
I haven't quite gotten into bike's enough yet to want a fat bike. Maybe a gravel bike eventually to ride a paved/gravel trail nearby, but I can always just do that with my Taff. (Once I change out the BB because it creak's like a newly Weds bedframe)
😂😂 I noticed on ours it's pretty resistant to pedal? Maybe a gravel bike would be a good alternative. I would like to turn my kona into one. I love that look
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS mine has the 3x on it. I'll have to convert it over to a 1x. Looking at the ifx crank set because it comes with a BB and it's a good price. I need to replace the cassette because I have broken teeth on a few. So it jumps on me. Gravel bike looks like you can ride it on pavement and gravel trail's without a problem. Fit better for when I just pop out my front door and hop on my bike.
Yeah I would say thats really good reasoning, a good all around bike. Who knows maybe oneday the kona will be a project gravel bike?? Good luck on yours hope you do it!:)
Well actually we did plan on using the mt420 brakes off of the GT, but the mt200's that we were going to put back on the GT are going on the Taff. So now we are not sure what we're going to do haha. Thanks for the suggestion, hope you follow this build.
Give the Mongoose Fat-Bikes Facebook group a look. There's a files link there that pretty much covers most any question that can arise from these. I know the group helped me get my second hand Dolomite in proper shape. And just a heads-up, break it all the way down and grease everything, these are notorious for being dry from the factory. Also look into upgrading the headset when swapping the fork. I put a FSA Pig on mine as the stock was crunchy.
Oh man your scaring me now!!! I hope to fit a new freewheel cog with some gearing and maybe some lights???LOL Weight is gonna be an issue im ready to face with this build brother!😂😂😂from piglet🐖 to wild boar baby 🐗 Thanks again man:)
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS the weight is in the rotating mass which magnifies itself on the incline. I've been meaning to set up ghetto tubeless, just haven't had the stones to give it a go. But seriously, weigh the wheels individually while it's down, they're surprisingly heavy. Even the tubes are heavy, much less the tires. But then again, as said these are tanks and will roll over pretty much anything with enough momentum. They also seem to be used more for neighborhood bikes than woods riders, but I happen to very much enjoy hitting the singletrack on my Dolo, even with the extra weight and bad knees.
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS also, forgot to say- the Sunrace Megadrive 8spd fits, seems to be the preference of the Mongoose Fatty tinkerers as the tooth jump is less severe than the Shimano Mega Range 7spd. I had a shimano freewheel on mine with a 28t at the crank, and bent the granny ring on the freewheel climbing a decent incline. Then again I'm very much a clydesdale, and have a good kick, so between the torque, the gearing advantages, and the traction of the wide tires, something had to give. It just surprised me it wasn't the chain.
Wow that’s a heavy bike! My brother used to have a specialized fatboy and it weighed in at 33lbs. Wheels on that bike might be weighing it down quite a bit and the fork.
Sure thing. Our address is Wolftick Videos P.O. Box 275 Morrilton Arkansas 72110 and our email is jwolfmanc32@gmail.com Thanks for the support, and yes that 5k would be awesome.
Mongoose is rare in Norway now, apart from the very old bikes Boot'r & black diamond, those are still making the rounds on the second hand market. But but super cheap junk bikes & BMX's are still sold here. but for MTB, Mongoose has died years ago, not on the market here apart from old bikes, but they don't have any bikes that I would accept. but just in general they used to be a big bike brand, but over the years they have faded. not much racing, or sponsored riders, Chris Akrigg left them.

This video made me get the mongoose so thanks
You are welcome👍. We love our Malus🥰.
Love the color!! You can get a 14-34 megarange freewheel for more range. Grats on 3k next 30k!!
Yeah it sucks doesnt it! Always gotta wait it seems these days!
WOLFTICK VIDEOS if it doesn’t fit you can buy an extender
New sub! I want to buy a malus so these upgrade videos are perfect timing 👌 love the videos
Awesome man! Welcome to the #wolfticknation. We have some Malus videos coming up in the next week or two. Thanks for the sub and we hope to see you around.
Congrats on 3k love you guys🤙🤙🤙
Hey buddy thank you so much. We can't even begin to tell you or the rest of the #wolfticknation how much we appreciate y'all. 😊😊🥰🥰This is us feeling the love haha.
Can wait to see this. Might have to buy one also. Love the channel.
Appreciate it Joseph, its gonna be an awesome build brother!!! Thanks for watching us.
Will do!
Congrats on 3k! I hope to get there soon (This is Evan from Evan's MTB Saga).
Thanks Evan, like that Axum brother. Hope all is well and hope you keep that content coming!!!
That color on the malus is sickk!
Thanks man, we like it too.
Awesome video guys.
Hey thanks man! Have you got any seat time on your GT?
Man well I hope you can get some tome in with her. Good luck on the weather ad we are happy for ya!!
Yeah I think it is a newer version as well, its a freewheel correct, not a freehub??
great impression dude hahaha....I've actually looked at this exact bike as a new toy for my birthday coming up on Thanksgiving but I don't think it's be big enough hahaha....I'll keep looking Jack loves his and says he'll never go back to a regular bike hahaha
Ha ha! Thanks brother, gotta get you one. Dad rode it and loved it, you will see in the next malus opener. He's pretty big as well, just a different kinda big👍👍👍
Great job on the milestone guys!!!
Hey thanks man. Thanks for always watching and commenting, it means alot to us. Next up 4000!!
That fat bike is sooo cool can’t wait for the new fork
Thanks man. We both like the bike so far, and can't wait for the upgrades ourselves. Did your brother get his bike yet? Thanks again buddy.
WOLFTICK VIDEOS he is getting it for his birthday Wednesday
Great new project. I’d probably leave the kickstand since it’s such a beast to lay down and pick up all the time.
Yeah brother! I would be gacked by the time winter is up lol🤣🤣
12:38 that's a Wake stem, or did you get the real thing? as in Wake up in hospital.
Funn Funnduro? at least you got a decent handlebar.
Ha ha hope to note be waking up in the hospital! 💩
I have a Motobecane Boris X5 fat bike: aluminum frame, SRAM 2x9, Arisun Big Smoothy 26x4 tires. Have not tried it in the snow yet!
May want to keep it that way!! LOL Thanks brother:)
Great vid again.... How do you like your dropper post since you've had it for a while. Any problems with the wire
Love these your cool mountain bike
Well thank you. We love the #wolfticknation so we hope you subscribed.
I Just Bought One 2 Days Ago. I Love It. Got It At Sports Academy For $329 Plus Tax. Last Time I Had A Mongoose Was In 1978.
Hell yeah!! Good for you man I love mine as well and cant wait for some upgrades!!! Gonna have that video out Friday!! Thanks for watching and hope you stick around man, so cool!👍👍👍👋👋
I put race face Handlebars on the GT aggressor pro
Yeah I how long?
You gotta check out thick bikes in pa. They have fat tire bikes the owner has all the camp things on his bike. He has so idea for your fat tire. Bike. Check out the site you’ll see the pictures.
Will do brother, that sounds cool!
Is there a way to go tubeless with the 4 inch tires, the holes would make it a challenge, probably there to save as much weight as possible
Dude? That's a killer question! Lol never thought of such a thing....maybe with the older malus???? The rims are solid that's a cool idea
But anyways man the Malus is gonna be a cool project and cant wait to get you sold on one!!!LOL Later man
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS forreal, my brothers stump jumper is like a couch, my bike keeps me on edge keeps me focused, I like a challenge lol later mons!
For sure man, the challenge is the best feeling and when you hit something because of speed and technique and not because that big aXX schock between your legs!
That fat bike looks awesome
Thanks buddy, we agree.
Picking one up tonight. E conversion.
congratulations on 3k subscribers. plenty more to come! pretty interested how that beast rides on the trails. never ridden fat bike, it will be interesting to see your thoughts on it.
Me either on the fat bike!!!! Hope you enjoy the video and thank you very much for being a constant on our channel man, it means alot!
Later dude
Those intros just keep getting better😂
Well we are glad to hear that so many people are enjoying our dysfunctional relationship haha.😂😂🤣🤣 Thanks man.
Awesome! #fullsuspension is my next #adventure . Thanks guys!
Thank you Monte:) #wolfticknation!!
I am going to buy a malus. And add a Bafang mid drive motor. Do you have any experience building a ebike similar with the Malus?
Thanks man

For sure brother, not meant to be glamorous
Another great video I have a cannondale fatt cadd 2 is bad ass like your mine weighs in at just under 30 lbs keep up the great video ps I don’t fast forward
Thanks Juan! Glad you enjoy the whole video man. It helps when people watch the whole thing actually. We never knew that Cannondale made a fat bike. We are enjoying the testing and reviewing of this bike so far. Not sure if we could get the weight down that low on our bike haha. With our plans it's going to be gaining weight probably. Thanks again man.
Great review , 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Thanks Frederic:) See ya brother, appreciate you watching!!
For sure dude, want to go that route as well, but im thinking the MT- 420!!!!Talk about overkill ha ha. Are you reviewing them on your channel???
Sorry the sprocket question was for the termissor,is this a good bike out of box,did you get a discount because academy wants 450 now
Discounted for a faulty screw, %10
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS good videos keep up the good work I'll probably go with the gtx2,a bit pricey but I think it'll last
Knew you were talkin about suspension forks when adding weight but daammn..lol.
Thanks!
You are welcome. Thanks for watching👍
I was checking out the Mongoose Tyax yesterday on Amazon. Looks pretty bad ass.
Dude for 700 bucks that is pretty sweet man! I wonder why for that price they didnt add air forks?
Hi sir i have a question, what is the size of the bb of mongoose malus?
Have you watched the video?
so why do you say you cant change the freewheel?
I'm 6"3 And on a budget do you think this bike would be adequate for my size?
Hey brother, now my dad is 6'4"-6'5" ish and he rode it with style!!! LOL He loves it man, so that being said I would imagine its your next bike;) Thanks for watching and hope you tune in for the other rides and the Malus upgrades!!!
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS Thanks bro I appreciate the input and keep up the great vids!
Is this Mongoose Malus tubeless ready?
No man, the rims have massive holes cut in them with rim tape but it is not tubeless, not sure if you can get fat tire tubeless tape?? Maybe it can keep a beas but def wouldn't be reliable....would be interesting though!!👍
did this bike work out over the years?
Will definitely be hanging around. Pushed that subscribe button tonight. Keep up the good work!
Thakn you so much C.Brown76- thats really cool man!!!
Tour maybe!!lol but gonna be a really cool triple tree fork and hand guards are gonna be sweet! Thanks man
Hanging out of a pool talking about bikes for youtube... I feel that.
Ha ha ha you betcha!!
Correction, u can change the freewheel to 34T, I did on mine. Will give u a lot of climbing power.

@poe lawless- dude you are a mess!!!😵😵😵😖😌😌😜LOL
@ Gyl Bonus-Pretty good suggestion man! I like that idea, especially dad ha ha. Maybe a future possibility. Thanks
Wolftick Nation
That's right man haha.
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS I'm sure the Kona will do the job just fine. Good luck to you too.
💪
man, with that kind of weight, you should go with hydro disk brakes as first upgrade ! :D
Well actually we did plan on using the mt420 brakes off of the GT, but the mt200's that we were going to put back on the GT are going on the Taff. So now we are not sure what we're going to do haha. Thanks for the suggestion, hope you follow this build.
You know a lot more about bikes now lol
Give the Mongoose Fat-Bikes Facebook group a look. There's a files link there that pretty much covers most any question that can arise from these. I know the group helped me get my second hand Dolomite in proper shape. And just a heads-up, break it all the way down and grease everything, these are notorious for being dry from the factory. Also look into upgrading the headset when swapping the fork. I put a FSA Pig on mine as the stock was crunchy.
Ok will do brother, thanks for the heads up and looking out, will take her apart and grease her!! Big oll pig lol
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS think she's a pig now, try riding her in the woods with that stock gearing.
Yeah we might just take them off and see what they weigh ha ha! That fork though WOW that is gonna be heavy as hell!

no really if you can get them they are good
Mongoose is rare in Norway now, apart from the very old bikes Boot'r & black diamond, those are still making the rounds on the second hand market.
Yeah it's a little slower here as well, you definitely don't see them like you used too.
