a bloke named Kerry Frame was the original builder mate , she's a well built machine although a little heavy compared to some, weighing in at about 350kgs . fuel injected ej22 which so far has been very good to me with the only issue being a plug lead . its just clocked over 400hrs

@ghecko-pz8rj well done. Another success story about the reliability of the Subarus. One of my singles has an EJ18. Apparently the same engine, just 1.8L, 100-110hp version. I could swap it for an ej22 but Peter green (the builder) reckons it will handle better with the lighter engine. Neil Heintz from Auto flight makes rebuilt kits for the SOH ea81 engines and claims 130hp, and at least 1000hrs of reliable hours. Power to weight that would be the best engine. But you can't beat the EJ22. As solid and common as a Honda XR thumper 😁👍

@@omeobandit9928 suppose it all depends on the type of flying you want to do as well mate , Im more into touring as far as my range will let me rather than zipping around the sky as for the XR hondas yep have 2x 600s 2x 400s and a 250 which Im trying to get back together

@@ghecko-pz8rj well there ya go! A perfect collection. They've got me wondering why psychologists don't prescribe gyros and XRs to the depressed. I suppose they wouldn't want to lose their return customer base 😂👌
