    Very nicely done! It looks great, and very functional. You'll need more bike racks, of course (N + 1).

    You got it done! Thats what matters, not how you got there. I personally think the cheap paint 2 layers is a great choice.

    Nice! I wish I had a garage for my bikes and outdoor gear. But I make do with a cargo trailer for now.

    Very nicely done & I appreciate your sharing your work.
    I understand budgeting, time & effort; however, DIY has a rewarding feeling.
    Unfortunately, I’m not as skilled & I don’t have a garage in the near future, so I’d be a little more creative & most likely contract the work, because my knees & back cannot take the abuse. However, like I previously stated, DIY has a rewarding feeling & is loads cheaper (initially).

    Can you help me find the joist hangers you used for the shelving rack? Thanks!

    • @BenCCycling
      @BenCCycling  3 месяца назад

      The hangers are all from Home Depot. The corner pieces are from a kit advertised as a DIY workbench but they work great for shelves too! They are cheaper in the kit than buying individually and they come with screws.

    What wall rack is this? Any issues with it? Do you recommend?

    • @BenCCycling
      @BenCCycling  3 месяца назад

      VelociRAX Wall Mount, a little spendy but works great! Being able to pivot the bikes while they are hanging is huge.

    Buy cheap paint do it twice, buy good and do it once.
    Buy cheap tools over and over, buy good once.
    Use the right tools and it will take a quart of the time the wrong tools do.
    More is not always better.
    This video should be called how NOT to do it.

      It was the grinding that got to me most. It would have been cheaper to hire a floor grinder AND would have been complete in half a day or maybe full day for a newbie.

      his bike collection and such could be more valuable (monetarily) than his vehicle; his bikes may be of greater sentimental value to him vs his vehicle; bikes are much more easily stolen and re-sold vs vehicles.
