When talking about Brix its also important to not only measure brix at mid day but also early morning. The larger the spread in Brix numbers the better. If you don't have a large spread its an indicator of Mineral deficiencies limiting photosynthesis during the day, or mineral deficiencies limiting transporting and storing the sugars as carbohydrates in the root zone.
