  • Burgeon makes incredible clothing, but it is worth the price tag? Hear why the answer is both YES and NO depending on what you value in this candid interview.
This is not a sponsored video, but I was lucky enough to sit down with the owner and founder of Burgeon. If you are interested in their gear I would highly recommend a trip to the store to see them making the products. If you aren't in the area, you can order from them online, if interested. www.burgeonout...

Thank you for having me, Rudy! See you next time. I’m probably going to hike Washington on Saturday. Maybe I’ll swing through to say hi after.

They are awesome, Peter. Let me know what you think after you drop by. If you want to see them working, go early in the morning. I think they officially open at 10, but you’ll have to check on the site, or call them to make sure.

This sounds amazing! See them make it and bring product to the location to repair or replace... THAT IS SWEEEET! Best of luck to Burgeon, sounds like an amazing company!

When I was visiting family in NH in September, I stopped by their store based solely on your mention. I bought the fleece hoody and their sun hoody and have used the fleece one the most. I’m happy to be supporting a NH business and especially pleased to hear about their principles.

This is awesome! Thanks so much for supporting NH! I’m glad you like the fleece. If you find yourself back there, I also totally recommend the Flume base layer. It’s super comfortable (for me).

Recently went on an Alaskan cruise and wore my Highlander hoodie most days. Definitely versatile and warm but breathes nicely. Got the recommendation from your other video and couldn't be happier.

Your first video (the "I hate mellies" video) on Burgeon clued me in on the company, and I've been waiting for budget to allow for months now...finally ordered my wife and I highlander hoodies this week. They arrived TODAY and I just got back from a 1-miler with the kids...they're AWESOME. I'm all in for Burgeon>Mellie. Thanks for spotlighting these local brands that we don't always find ourselves!

That’s what I’m wearing in the beginning of the video. It’s great. I actually prefer the hoodie without a zip, but there is no denying the convenience of the zip!

@@rootsandpeaks I prefer the zip to dump heat if needed. Seems like whenever I try a pullover I hit the edge of being hot and wish I could unzip.

I love mine after watching one of your older videos, but I do think the sleeves could be longer on the one i own as my only critique. otherwise it's perfect

On the Highlander? I’m sorry to hear it wasn’t the right proportions for you! I wonder if Rudy has a way to make the arms longer upon request. - It fits well for me, but I do wish they had thumbloops with longer arms. - I layer a Flume, with thumbloops under it, and that’s a really good combination.
