    an interesting one would be: what if everyone who got voted out with an idol in their pocket actually played their idol (james, ozzy, andrea, etc)

    • @BrettMKW
      @BrettMKW 3 года назад +24

      I'll take a stab at this.
      James - seriously? He had 2 idols at F7. He's guaranteed F5 and F4 if he wins one immunity challenge. However I doubt they let him make FTC and it's not like he wins the balancing dishes challenge.
      Ozzy - Jason goes home but barring an immunity run which he could definitely go on, he's probably gonna leave soon. BWB had a lock on this season.
      Jason - Wouldn't even be in the game at this point but he's never making it to the end.
      Brendan - Honestly could have made a good run at it.
      Erik - Probably gets booted next, his whole tribe tried to vote him off. However Jaison would have been voted off so I doubt Foa Foa could make a comeback down 8-3. They needed well timed flips from Shambo and John as well as an idol play from Russell at F11. Galu probably endgames and who knows who wins from that.
      Andrea - Eddie goes out on the revote, I don't think this changes the season much unless Andrea goes on a win streak. Erik still med evaced at F5 and whoever isn't voted out at F6 (Andrea, Brenda) probably goes out at F4.
      Garrett - Idols out J'Tia, Kass probably goes at the tribal that J'Tia went instead (Spencer and Garrett were teamed) meaning Garrett makes the tribe swap? He probably doesn't have the game sense to go much further than that.
      John - Idols out Baylor who eventually made F5. I don't think he lasts much longer but maybe Reed/Josh get the upper hand at the merge with Baylor gone instead of Nat/Jeremy?
      Scot - Aubry and Tai each had 2 votes and would have gone to a revote. My guess is Aubry goes.
      JT - Probably goes next tribal and Michaela who would have went home if he played his idol wasn't a major player in GC so I don't think it effects much.
      Chris - Libby goes home, and then Chris would have gone home next, I don't see that affecting the game at all. Also what the hell Chris had an idol good for two tribals and he was obviously the target of Dom's alliance why wouldn't he play it.
      Aubry - Idols out Wendy. Wendy was voted out next tribal at a rare two-tribe tribal because they figured her tribe wouldn't go to rocks for her. Would they target Aubry here over Vic Gavin Eric? If they do the rest of the season plays out exactly the same since both are premergers either way.
      Wentworth - Aurora goes but she's on the bottom afterwards without an idol to protect her at F8. I think either she or Wardog go next but I don't see anyone letting her into FTC.
      Vince - Idols out Karishma, not sure what happens from there.
      Chelsea - Karishma was also vulnerable here if Chelsea played her idol but Karishma in theory would be out of the game at this point so I guess Chelsea could pick who goes home.
      Kellee - Had good game sense and I don't think people thought she had two idols, she had a good chance of winning imo.
      Sophie - If she makes it into F8 she's sitting in a really good spot, it took a majority split vote and a flip from Tony/Nick to make it happen. She was looking like a strong candidate for the win until she got blindsided.
      Hope I didn't miss any.

      @@BrettMKW I'm pretty sure if Aubry played her idol, she sides with David and Wentworth at the double tribal and they take out Victoria.
      Yeah there is a possibility that the Lesus take out Aubry, but they were already so down in numbers. If Aubry just tells them that she's on the outs with the rest of Kama, why give up a potential number?

    • @BrettMKW
      @BrettMKW 3 года назад

      @@roger_towny_jr Hmm yeah that's a good take, Aubry could just take out Vic at that tribal rather than sticking with the tribe that just tried to vote her off, I didn't even consider that. That season was hellbent though on getting out the returnees. I believe Chris still comes into the game at F6 and wins his way into the end and I can't imagine a scenario where Vic being out of the game instead of Aubry results in Julie/Gavin not being the FTC goats so I think Chris still wins.

    • @roger_towny_jr
      @roger_towny_jr 3 года назад

      @@BrettMKW Very easy scenario actually.
      If the four non-edge players at 6 are just smarter and split their vote 2-2 for Devens and Chris, flush Devens Idol out, and vote Chris off in a revote, it very much changes.

    • @briankaste6931
      @briankaste6931 3 года назад +2

      @@BrettMKW If Garrett had played his idol, it could have led to the brains tribe winning the basketball immunity challenge where 1) the brawn tribe tried to throw the challenge but couldn't because 2) the brains tribe pretty much only had spencer to be athletic. Swapping Garrett for J'tia here could've changed things a lot here, especially with how that challenge was edited to show J'tia struggling. If having Garrett means that the brawn tribe loses this challenge, I think the brawn tribe wanted to vote Cliff out at this point. Who knows if Lindsey would've still quit here? And the tribes swap after this elimination, so maybe Garrett could've made his game better (although it'd be unlikely given that he hated the survival aspect).
      I don't know the background for all of these on this list, so I don't know if any others of these were pre-merge situations where tribe performances could've been changed due to having the right team. I wouldn't be surprised if Garrett's situation is the only one where an actual difference could've been made.

The point of the fire making challenge is a second chance to get into the final tribal council even if you lose final immunity. You wasted your time on those seasons. For example in Season 8, the final 3 Jenna goes against Amber in fire making, and the winner is against Rob for the million. That’s way more interesting to discuss and think about it because it potentially changes the winner of the season

Assuming that they know its forced fire making at f4, I don't think Brett goes out at the f5 because Hannahs whole reasoning for wanting Brett out was to leave David in the game at f4 to be taken out, but if she knows its forced firemaking, I think she votes for David at f5, with the f4 of brett, adam, hannah and ken. Ken wins final immunity, idk who he takes, if adam wins fire he wins, if he loses and its a f3 of brett hannah and ken i think or at least i hope hannah wins that but i rlly dont know much about juries and who they would have voted.

      While that would be Hannah's smarter play I think it is unlikely she beats Bret. Bret would have Chris and Sunday locked vs every single person in the cast, he even gets them over David. Jay for sure votes Bret over Hannah, he called Bret as Uncle Bret and hated Hannah. Taylor and Michele probably just vote whoever Jay tells them too in every scenario, so we already at 5 Bret votes. Jessica votes Ken in that F3 100% (and she hated Hannah so if anything she might vote Bret just to ensure Hannah loses) so already there is no way for Hannah to win. Her best case is a 5-4-1 loss. I think Zeke doesn't vote Hannah due to their rivalry, Will probably votes Bret, and I could see David voting Bret too. Hannah probably gets Adam, and that is it.

      @@apecentury228 Since Ozzy and Sarah are votes you would expect Brad to get over Tai. He needs them to ever beat Tai. If he isn't getting them then it is all over.
      It is a proven fact reunion show polls are almost always wrong, per the cast members of each season themselves. You are probably 12 years old and just started watching Survivor since someone informed would already know that. Here is a history of bogus reunion show results:
      Pearl Islands- The Reunion poll had Lil beating Fairplay. The cast then admited later that same night Fairplay crushes Lil with only Rupert and maybe Christa voting Lil, and that Fairplay probably beats Sandra 4-3. The story came out later they were begged by Probst to give Lil a fake win at the Reunion poll so she wouldn't cry and cause them to delay like she did during FTC.
      All Stars- The Reunion poll had Rob beating Jenna 4-3. It was later proven this was wrong with Kathy admiting she for sure votes Jenna over Rob (or anyone but Amber over Rob) even though she raised her hand for Rob at the bogus Reunion poll, while Rupert's vote was up in the air at best.
      Guatemala- The Reunion poll had Rafe beating Danni 5-2, while the cast later admited that was a lie and Judd and Jamie for sure are voting Danni, and Lydia probably does too, with Danni winning 5-2 or 4-3.
      Fiji- The Reunion poll had Yau Man beating Earl 6-3 when the cast all admited after Earl really wins over Yau Man pretty easily with only 2 or 3 people voting Yau Man.
      San Juan Del Sur- The Reunion poll had Keith beating Natalie, and the cast later admited Keith probably doesn't even win a F3 with Jaclyn and Missy, let alone beat Natalie.
      Worlds Apart- The Reunion poll had Rodney beating Mike, while the cast admited after Mike still wins. Jenn, Joe, Hali, all admited to lying in the Reunion poll after the Reunion (you know the exact same Hali who was obviously lying in the Game Changers poll too, lol).
      Koah Rong- The Reunion poll had Cydney beating Michele, which was later confirmed to be false, unless Cydney wins the jury removal challenge but the Reunion poll had her winning even losing that.
      Nicaragua- The Reunion poll had Holly winning if she made F3, then the cast confirmed post show she doesn't beat either Fabio or Chase.
      Phillippines- The Reunion poll had Denise beating Malcolm, which the cast later confirmed to be false with Pete, Penner, Carter admited they lied about voting Denise to screw with Malcolm for fun. Probst also asked them to do that for TV purposes.
      South Pacific- They had Coach winning if Sophie was not there, then later admited Coach definitely isn't winning even if Sophie isn't there, unless he is against some combo of Albert, Cochran, or Edna. He does not beat Rick or Brandon as the Reunion poll implied.
      I am probably forgetting some, but literally the only times Probst did a Reunion poll where they gave an honest result they didn't rebuke themselves after was Marquesas with Kathy winning over both Vecepia and Neleh, Matty winning Gabon, Terry winning Panama over either Aras or Danielle, and maybe Amazon with Rob winning over Jenna M. As for why they often lie in the Reunion poll there are dozens of reasons, most of all that Probst probably asks them to claim a certain result for good TV, or bullies them to pick his favorite beforehand.

    • @grantdesjardins764
      @grantdesjardins764 3 года назад +3

      And in this case it would be super obvious why Probst would want a tie at his annual bogus Reunion poll. He wanted a chance to expose what the new tiebreaker was for the audience. Which would soon be seen for real in Season 36. I forget if Season 36 had filmed or not at the time, but if it had even more reason.

I genuinely did not know about the reunion shows because I usually skipped them, but I have gone back to watch most of them. I did not know Jeff asked the contestants favors but it now makes sense for TV purposes. You learn something new every day.
      So for the Game Changers one, Tai would have won? Because I think Brad does get Ozzy and Sarah's vote, as well as Sierra and Debbie's. Tai has 5 locked votes. The only one questionable is Hali, so it's either 6-4 or 5-5. If Tai does win, it's basically Brad deciding who to give the million to. Also, where are you finding info post-reunion show? I hate Aras and love Cirie, but I think it is very possile Aras beats Cirie. And it does not matter if Aras claims he doesn't, many people claim they don't beat their friend to be humble or they are just wrong. Sally and Austin say they vote Terry over everyone hands down, and Aras next since they only care about physical abilities. Terry has confirmed he always votes Aras since he has the same mindset as far as jury voting. So if we assume Danielle, Bruce, Shane (who was super bitter at both, so not even a sure Cirie vote) all voting Cirie, it comes down to Courtney who is the biggest wild card ever. The only thing we know about Courtney is she votes Shane in every F2, and votes Terry (due to being bitter) over anyone but Shane, but her votes in every other scenario are up in the air, apart from we know her voting Aras over Danielle only since we saw it.
