Ok, here's an idea. What if Darth Vectivus (the Sith Scholar who did no evil) was somehow alive in the prequel era (perhaps the after-effects of a dark side ritual caused him to wake up on Tatooine in a new body after his death) and took young Anakin as an apprentice just before the events of TPM? Just keep in mind that Vectivus's interest in the dark side was purely academic in nature so he wouldn't have antagonized the Jedi beyond philosophical debates on the nature of the Force.

What if anakin was piloting before attack of the clones and sensed ventress fall to the darkside as her master died and took his ship to the planet to investigate. Perhaps starting a romance as they are very similar in their stories.

I think you mean Ben Solo, as Ben Skywalker is Luke's son from the Legends continuity, who successfully resisted his cousin Jacen Solo's attempts to turn him to the dark side.

Or would Oppo Rancisis have been as bad a choice for Master as Luminara or that Sociopath Ki Adi (AKA Master Large Forehead)?

Ouch, kind of a bummer for Obi-Wan. He basically murdered Dooku for nothing, trying to keep a secret that Palpatine would just reveal anyway minutes later. Still, I suppose having a liability like that alive and talking might have driven Sidious to just kill them both on the spot. Regardless, I expect this version of Obi-Wan to need some time coming to terms with that.

Anakin still wouldn’t be strong enough to take down sidious .
I don’t think a pregnant padme who is a senator would navigate herself through a live battle without her getting her ships blown to shredded and she would have remained on the flag ship .
Yoda and windu would have immediately flown to the separatist flag ship considering they believe dooku and grievous have obi wan , anakin and palpatine as hostages . Especially if padme (one of the most crucial republic senators ) went rogue and went to the separatist flag ship
Not likely, Obi-Wan only survived against Anakin because he was literally Anakin and had trained him from a small boy, and Anakin wasn’t trying to kill him outright
What if Admiral Yularin (or any of the other admirals of the empire) defected? I feel like it would make the most sense for Yularin, but any could probably work! Their inside knowledge and experience on the battlefield could be a very useful boon for the rebellion.

I expect R2 flew Anakin’s ship out after the battle with Republic fleet started.
Still waiting for "What if Luke left for the Academy before the rebels showed up?"
Would he use an Alias on the advise of Lars? Would the name "Skywalker" raise red flags right away, and lead to an early encounter with Vader? Or would he go under the radar, and eventually become enamored with/hateful of the empire's ways of enforcing order? I mean, it's clear Luke only ever wanted adventure and to see the galaxy. I can't really see him going onboard, unless Vader manages to arrange an early father-son reunion on good terms.
Personally I'd love to think that Luke would get found by Vader, but Vader, being angry that Palpatine lied to him about Padme surviving long enough to give birth, would keep him secret and start to turn back.

In the Legends continuity at least, it's stated that Skywalker is actually a really common name in that part of the galaxy, so Luke using his real name wouldn't be a problem. If that weren't the case he'd've likely been raised as Luke Lars.
@@DarthSanguine And of course Tatooine is a planet nobody cares about (at least not the core worlds), so the Empire would've thought nothing of there being someone with the last name Skywalker there (especially since that's where Anakin came from so the plausibility of other Skywalkers living there is believable).

I really enjoyed this one. I don't know why but I love the idea of Sidious being okay with (or even proud of) dying by Anakin's hand as he turns, it's almost kinda wholesome in a weird and messed up way.
I'd have blown the windows and let Palpy figure out how to float in space and then use him as target practice as he tries to save himself.

I didn't say killed. I said his neck was broken. He's permanently paralyzed, full quadriplegic. One can assume he'd still be able to use the Force to some extent, but he'd be looking at a long recovery at best. How would that change his plans for the end of the war?
