As a 75 yr old woman, watching this channel restores my faith in mankind. Everyone here shows kindness, respect, creativity, hard work and family values. Teaching and respecting a young man , Yannis, and including him in your restoration is heart warming. Continued success with your convent and chateau with thanks from a faithful viewer from the US.
I felt compelled to comment on the dangly chain around Yannis’s neck when he was sawing that beam. If that saw kicked back he could have a serious injury. Please keep the chain inside your shirt or leave it off around automated or vibrating tools. Not a fuddy dutty just a concerned grandma.
@@Bjmc4uk I think I counted 14 overhead slams without stopping with that sledgehammer when they were knocking one of the metal beams out. Amazing strength.
If the Pethericks could clone themselves and train all of us as apprentices, what a change in the world there would be. You create a vortex of kindness and creative work all around you. I'm so glad that Mick and Mum are around to see what wonderful humans they made. Here's to all mentors around the world who are as kind and supportive and hard working as these Pethericks!! And to all the Great-hearted hard working apprentices like Yannis. 💛
I love how Yanis has become such a principal member of the team. 🙂 I remember when he first appeared in the earliest days of the Kitchen Project, when the original floor and demolition rubble needed removing! I can’t believe that's a year and a half ago already!!
Yanis is turning out to be quite the young man. If he sets his mind to it there isn't anything he can't do Billy so keep teaching him what you know maybe he won't turn out like the youth we have today that's not willing to learn anything other than phones and PlayStations
@@normareed9007 Ah I didn’t know that! That’s really nice for him 🙂 I just assumed he was from Erneé, or somewhere nearby, and then went back home at the end of the day.
Billy, your dad must be so proud of all of you. The look on his face as he watches you and Yanis do these things and how you learn from him… is a legacy I’m sure he is proud of! ❤ Much love to the whole family.
I honestly do not know what Billy would have done without the magnificent Yannis. He is gold dust with extra gold. He has been tutored by experts, which shows, but his energy and enthusiasm and willingness come from within. Just outstanding and rare these days. 😀
Wow, those beams look Beautiful! Great reuse of materials!!! Mick, the potatoes look wonderful and it is moving to think of the garden coming back into caring hands. You are a master craftsman with every medium.
Happy to see the wonderful progress in the beam cutting and installation. Yiannis is a lean, mean metal cutting machine!! You guys get a kick at his accent when he says, let's crack on.
Please make sure when Yanis is working that his necklace is inside his top! I would hate to see such a talented young man get hurt! You are all about safety!!
I have to say Billy, Yanis is a treasure. Like your father and you and Michael, he is a very hard worker and just has a thirst for learning all he can. What a lucky find he is.
Yannis is a talented and a very nice person, I would hate to see him get injured. Besides the appropriate safety equipment the number one rule on any job site is no rings, necklaces, loose long hair, loose clothing. STAY SAFE ❤
Such a naughty title (in the US at least) for such a great video. Beautiful music!!!!! YANIS, I WISH I SPOKE FRENCH. BILLY, PLEASE LET YANIS KNOW THAT WE FEEL PRIDE & JOY FOR HIM. Yanis has gone from an apprentice to a skilled tradesman!!!!
Yanis is turning out to be an excellent craftsman!! That gardens looks wonderful. Those plants look very happy. You guys are doing great. I love your channel
Amazed at Yannis' use of English ! Well done!. I was taught French at school in Scotland many years ago but it's the old saying, "Use it or lose it," I am embarrassed to say.
Hello from Memphis Tennessee. You don't realize how much the wood beams have sagged until they are up against the steel beams. Enjoy watching the progress... Crack on
It was really interesting watching the smaller pieces of beam go in. It was easier for me to comprehend what was being done with them, because I could see all of them at one time. I’m so impressed with how you have done this with so few people.
What a lovely idea though I think there is still no outside access to the garden only through the convent. So wouldn’t be feasible at this stage. Maybe down the track. 👏
Yanis your build is slight but you are very strong. Please watch out for your back. All of you for that matter but he never seems to turn down a task .
It is truly wonderful to see how many skills Yanis has acquired and how his confidence has grown. You, and your family, have given him the space and the support to achieve it. Respect to each one of you and Yanis.
Way to go Yannis- you guys are getting closer and closer to completion of the Library project :D My next question is this - what kind of Furniture are you going to use ? I would suggest window seats as much as possible and built ins. :D
I know you are planning to do the railing in the library in wood similar to the staircase but I think wrought iron would keep ut visually more light and airy...just my 2¢ ciao from Italy
Oh Billy, it makes me so happy to see your Dad, and Yanis on Team Petherick every day. Yanis is speaking English so well and your Dad is a treasure, and very handsome, as well.😉 His garden looks amazing. I guess he will have to hook up a hose to give his potatoes a bit of water. Lot's of progress with the beams as well. Greetings as always, from the USA.
Yanis landed in the right place,he’s a hard worker like all of you and he’s been lucky to learn from each of you. Happy belated Birthday wishes Mick, the potato plants look like they are doing well. It’s funny you’ve had no rain when Chateaux vloggers have had so much . Crack On!🙋🏼♀️
Happy belated birthday Mick. My dad just turned 81 last week as well. He is so similar to you, a jack of all trades and works every day still. He works at a golf course and does his yard too.
BRILLIANT..! Billy makes every big job look so easy. Just amazing.. I can imagine all the hours of thinking, planning, and measuring. Don't ya love it when a plan comes together.! Great vision and planning Billy.. I Look forward to every video.!
The historic garden of the convent is just amazing! Imagine all of the food and people feed ❤ I love thinking about it. An episode on just more history and old photos would be so appreciated

Well said.
I feel the same way
Same here! Much appreciation!
We love all of you, but Yanis is becoming the star of the show.
Billie, you discovered a gold mine when you found him.
Give a man a chance and encouragement and you have a man that sees self improvement as exciting.

Billy will ever be the "star" of the show. Lucky Yannis to be able to learn from the mighty Petheric family.
Yanis is both a treasure and a work horse! I love all you’re doing together!!
He shall henceforth be known as The Amazing Yanis! Mick's garden looks wonderful.
Yes Yanis is growing more accomplished and confident by the day. It’s wonderful to see. Can’t wait for next week and the floor going in. 👍🏻💪🏻
He is gonna need to rest his arms!! For such a little fella he sure proved he could do it.🙌
@@Bjmc4uk I think I counted 14 overhead slams without stopping with that sledgehammer when they were knocking one of the metal beams out. Amazing strength.
Why is it that whenever I see Yanis working so hard my grandma heart just wants to give him a big hug and say, “Well done!”

and Simon! He's a beast and a man of all trades with a natural gift of instruction and mentoring.
Yannis is the sweetest young man, and you treat him like family. The interaction between he and your Dad is so touching.
First - Yanis seems like the perfect apprentice. He excells at everything he learns and then does!
Yes, Yanis is someone Who SEE'S the Work to be done!
Along with all the other skills Yanis has learned I am equally impressed with his learning a new language and using it with confidence.

Yanis has his own fan base thanks to his willingness to learn anything and everything he is shown. Go Yanis!
Yanis is quite the jack-of-all-trades hard worker. I'm glad to see him featured more in the videos, too.
It's nice you've got a small garden going. Hope you get some rain soon ❤
Nothing more satisfying than to see your plants grow. I remember Mick just putting in the plants, now they are sprouting! You do need the rain.
Awesome your dad planted a garden at the convent!

It's so nice to see how Yanis has become such an integral part of your team. Great work everyone!
In Yanis you’ve found a great friend and an amazing worker. 👏👏👏🏴🇬🇧
Seeing Yanis cutting the steel beam reminds me of Grandma cutting the turkey at Christmas except the turkey was tougher than the steel.
That man Yannis us an amazing worker...what a find Billy!!

I never tire of Yanis saying, 'Let's crack on." Makes me smile everytime. '
Yanis' little French accent is so enduring ❤
Originally, it's Algerian, probably with a mix of French.
Just love your Dad and Yannis they’re just wonderful
Yanis's English is getting better. I can't wait when start doing the landscaping in back with vegetable beds.
Till tomorrow, enjoy your day.
The potatoes are growing well. It’d be nice if you could get some local volunteers in to plant loads more crops….🏴🇬🇧
