Race of the year candiate for sure. Great stuff. Love GTLM/DPI only format as well. I prefer all GT such as Lime Rock and VIR though. But this is cool as well.
Brilliant as usual Ive been watching sports car racing now for 22 years , im 29. I can say whole heartedly that imsa is the best series in the world right now. I’d love to come to the states to watch long beach one day. All the best from Devon in the 🇬🇧 uk
Fantastic stuff. As always thanks to IMSA, this open model really is a godsend. The race itself was just a rain-less version of the earlier Daytona compressed into 100 minutes, with drama throughout. THROUGH-OUT. What a race, jesus.
@@nanderlizernanderlizer684 F1 could have a jaw dropping race and people will still say it sucked. People just whine about it any chance they get. Its a unique series and the cars are a lot different than most. I just find it funny when insecure clowns bring it up on videos that have nothing to do with F1.
Jraybay don’t get cocky and immature man. I’m just saying what i think that’s all. The truth is both series are racing series and there is a lot more action in imsa that’s a fact. And please stop with the BS.
@@ek8615 Cocky and immature, where? You were insecure enough to bring up F1 on a video that has nothing to do with F1, that's a fact. Could you make a more obvious/useless statement? Probably not. They're both racing series, yeah, and one is very different from the other... Why don't you stop with the b.s and use some common sense.
This was my 3rd visit in a row to Long beach from Australia and while all the races have been great, this was by far the best and most stressful...why? because while the 912 as normal had issues (last year hurt) this year it held on to a win for me to witness :D Thanks IMSA for letting me re visit it
@@oldfrend Haha it's one of those things though, when some things in life are so easily available you take it for granted and just push it back to some other time. For me these cars will never likely visit Australia so I need to make the effort to see them. I also want to hear cars like the C7Rs and RSRs while they're still N/A and brutal.
... again let reiterate with others about how important these replays are to those who can't even afford to visit those venues. Not to mention that your in depth commentary is the best in all of motorsports. One bit of corrective criticism, the audio needs to pay attention to the commentator's audio balanced with the best part, the sounds of the cars. The wining 912 got hit in the rear and part of the exhaust came off/ or was smashed in. it gave the Porsche a slightly different note or sound. kinda cool
Worst for me was last years race at Laguna seca raceway. Mazda had a really nice lead and the race was almost over but driver error or fatigue set in at turn 5. Coincidentally after 17 years of sponsorship Mazda would also drop the naming rights to Laguna Seca raceway that year. It's now called Weathertech raceway Laguna Seca
BUBBA burgar Grand Prix, lol great race, great weather and awesome commentary. the american lady Shay or Shae works extremely well with RLM's crew. She is very professional. Good on ya girl. ty for sharing a wonderful race. ( BUBBA burgar Grand Prix, Omgoodness i luv the name) tc all Toodlepip
Shea Adams is great. Honestly, when a pit lane reporter drops to the ground to detail how she sees a slight bend in the control arm and how that will effect cornering, you have to respect them. Well spoken and always knows what and when to say it. That she's also cute, well that's a bonus ;-) You might think with a name like "Bubba" those burgers would be made from alligator meat and rope but, no. They are great burgers when you throw them on a BBQ.
No Libtard Well as I understand Dirk Muller’s 66 Ford ran out of fuel and Magnussen was pushing hard and wasn’t expecting the Ford to slow down. But if that intentional then I agree it wasn’t the nicest move.
silly ? im sure but when 54 car was down, Shay was talking about a designated pit box. She mentioned it was further down then all the others. Did she mean just that 54 car pit was further? (i thought pit lane was for all) or just a special area for all cars? i remember her saying the crew would have to transport their tools to said pit box area..silly ? im sure butstill learning..ty and again ty for sharing the race.
Welp just saw the race and here is my summary of the race : JT damm that was a tough one, Mazda Racing Team :Smh again , #5 when did he sneak up to the front , Ford: ohhh I know they are pissed, Corvette Racing Team: 😂😂😂 we’ll take those two spots off your hands 😂. End summary
Yea but I meant like, Porsche and Magnussen really go at it. If you look at the ford vs porsche, they seem like they are holding hands half the time lol.
@@Walleytherobot Magnussen specially, brother has been bumping heads with Porsche since the mid 2000s, something that marked their rivalry was Laguna Seca 2012 when Bergmeister wrecked Magnussen at the line in GT2.
They believe the the course is too small and tight to include the GTD cars which would push the car count to over 30. They were here in 2017 though. Also all the GTD teams are smaller privateers and the rising costs in that class has been an issue in the series in last few years. So one issue to deal with that is just have them race less.

I love the sound of the V8’s in the corvettes but the sound flat 6’s in the porches is starting to grow on me.

Porsche and the Corvettes
