I know ANACS isn't recognized like NGC or PCGS, but one thing I like about their grading model is if it's a problem coin they still add a numeric grade of what it would be if the issue didn't exist.
    Thanks for another video.

Glad to see the upgrade on a couple of the V nickels. Sorry about the 1906, and I completely agree that calling that cleaned for some hairline scratches seems at best misguided. The1885 o being a two point jump is great, it's a nice coin. The 1890 o is a great upgrade, glad you got that. Thanks for sharing those with us!

Congratulations on the several upgrades. Condolences on the 1906 coming back as cleaned. My wife said that you are going to have trouble when you turn 65 and they start doing the Alzheimer's tests and they ask you to draw a clock face with a certain time on it. :)

The plan was going perfect for the grading companies until the collectors became more knowledgeable then the Grading companies. Biggest success's I have seen in a crack out video. Grats. Feels like NGC is getting more strict to be like PCGS and PCGS is relaxing to be more like NGC. If only they could meet more in the middle. Great Video Ben.

Outstanding camera work Ben. First, agree on the V nickels. Well deserved upgrades. Somewhat disturbing that NGC missed the Morgan's full grade and especially the PL, which was so obvious. What the heck is going on in Sarasota?!! Anyway, if you watch the PCGS grading series on RUclips you'll often hear the word "eye appeal" as the big swing vote, while NGC tends to focus on surface preservation. At the same time I've noticed PCGS is very hesitant to go higher than 6 in gold or 7 on Morgans and other silver coins. Look forward to seeing you next time I swing by Tucson... love your vids!

Good stuff Ben, and I ABSOLUTELY AGREE! These "Top-Knotch" grading companies should at the very least give a short description of the grades they give somewhere on the invoice or something right?!? Although I think it should be included anyways considering the money we pay them to grade our coins - but even if they charged like 2-3 bucks additionally for some sort of description like that - I think most ppl if not all who submit coins would pay a little extra to know what the hell the grader is thinking especially when a coin comes back as details, QC, etc. Just a thought!

A strong strike is required to 65 a nickel. Contact marks are less important since nickels are less prone due to the harder metal. Notice the difference in strike between the 63 and 64?

I am surprised you got the coins back from PCGS in holders that are actually not scratched up, scuffed up or otherwise damaged. I got a number of PCGS coins that I would like to send to them for a reholder but considering that for a while their "new" holders were far less than pristine- I instead submitted to NGC for crossovers and I know that at least from NGC their holders won't be sent back to me with problems on them

I normally don't even sell raw coins on eBay. If I do and I put what range I think the coin may be in, I make sure to state that it is based off of my own personal opinion and that I am not a professional grader and individuals should look at the coins and decide for themselves before buying.

Being an expert doesn't mean you're always right, though. You can be very well-educated on a topic and still miss the mark sometimes. That happens with graders.

Hi, Ben. Finally a little bit of love from PCGS. IDK about the cleaning on the 06. I agree with the grades now on the first two coins. The 43S cent is a push. The 85O Morgan was a bit of luck. I think it is a 64. Look at the smashed earlobe along with the obvious marks. The 90O Morgan got a fair grade. Overall, you got decent results. NGC hates you. PCGS thinks you are a dog and threw you a bone. *:-)* Bow-Wow. *TYU*

Ben i think the 1908 and the 1904 V nickels should have both graded M.S. - 64 . The 1906 is not cleaned and should have graded M.S. - 63 . The 1943 - S Steel wheat cent is one of the nicer ones i have seen graded M.S. - 66 it could have been graded M.S. - 67 and 99% of people would agree with M.S. - 67 grade . The 1885 - O Morgan Dollar i agree with the M.S. - 65 grade . The 1890 - O Morgan was graded right this time at M.S. - 63 Proof Like , like it should have got the first time you sent it in . I don't know what was wrong with N.G.C. getting the grades wrong on all of those coins but P.C.G.S. definitely got the 1906 V Nickel wrong by calling a M.S. - 63 cleaned when it is very obvious it was not cleaned . The grading companies have to get way more consistent on their grading . Thank you Ben for sharing these very nice problem free coins cause the only problem is the grading companies inconsistentcy .

Coin grading is nothing but a gigantic rip off. They are making more out of you than you are out of them. The more coins you send in, the more obvious the grades should be to the owner of the coins.
In your case, there is no pattern, no rhyme or reason, the opinions change with the wind.
The fact that the two major companies are so far apart is a disgrace.
If the grades are coming down to subjective opinions based on eye appeal, it just proves the whole system is a giant rip off.
That Coinhelpyou guy is trying to get some photo based grading system up and running, surely a computer program can put an end to the rip off by grading companies who rely on unknown men in white coats.
