Maple Grove RV Randall, WA and Iron creek trail hike

On our way to Alaska, we stayed 2 weeks at the Maple Grove RV & Golf Resort in Randall, WA. We stayed at the park via our Coast to Coast membership. The park is one of my favorite as it is so well taken care of.
The back section of the park runs along the Cowlitz River. We went down several times to allow Bailey to run and play in the water. After many days of rain, the weather heated up so fast that the snow was melting so fast in the mountains it caused the river to fill up leaving no bank left for Bailey to go down to.
There are many bunnies throughout and 6-7 resident peacocks that strut around the park looking for handouts.
On one of the days before the rain, we drove about 4 miles to the Iron creek trailhead in the Gilford Pinchot National forest. It is next to the Iron creek campground and many of the trails run through the campground. We hiked until we came to several downed trees that had taken out the trail along the Cispus River.
