- Growing Jujube From Cutting 100% Works
This shows how to propagate jujube from cutting which is an easy way to grow in case we don't have seedling to grow.

Thank you for this video . I received a few cuttings in January and had no idea what to do , and heard propagating jujube cutting to be difficult. Not so with your clear and easy steps! Have green leaves on all cuttings. With appreciation Sir!
Glad it helps , cheer
Did it grow roots?
with roots
I tried this method recently with 3 cuttings & all 3 seem to have rooted and are growing well. Thanks so much for posting!
Great to hear that. My pleasure
I suggest you also show the growing roots of your new plants. You can have new leaves and no roots, so next time let us see roots growing in your transparent vases. Greetings from Argentina!!
Ok next time. Root will form but it takes longer time around 45days
With another words, you just don’t believe that you can grow jujubes like that? Idk , I’m kind of skeptical too , I would like to try it
True I got leavesbut eventually jujube died ,no roots
@@SokhaChetra I saw a few roots on the surface inside the cup.
@@halildjencic1612 I have taken cuttings from ALL stone fruits (apple, plum, nectarines) and cut a young branch- about 8 inches to 2 feet long- cleared many, but not all of the leaves, stuck it directly in the ground, watered it slightly, sometimes watered the branch and the next year I got fruit from those branches.
I did the same thing to passion fruit and grape vines. Things want to live- so if you just give them a chance very often they will.
Damn it if I knew you could grow it like that, I would have steal some branches from my next door neighbor, he has a big jujube tree 😂
Lol. Ask them. They will give it to u
@@SokhaChetra I don’t have to ask the branches were all over the fence this summer , he pruned all of them
@@halildjencic1612 send me some
Job well done very talented for planting 🌱🌿🍀🌷🌄
Love to see the roots ..
Exactly my thoughts. Buds can come out by using the nutrient that was already stored in the scion without roots. Unless the roots are growing to support the buds, the scion will die out when the nutrient runs out.
Hi all. So is the water soaking for 30 DAYS or 30 MINUTES? it seems as if the question has been asked many times and the video creator does not answer. Anyone else care to answer? Thanks a bunch.
only 30minutes. then move to a cup of soil mix with cocopeat. water it once only and wait till root
So simple! Thank you for sharing.
Glad u like it 😊
Thanks for sharing. I appreciate it very much.
Thank you for your video! Ordering cuttings now!
Where can I order the cutting? Thx
You are so welcome!
I bought 2 jujube trees from Ty Ty nursery in georgia, USA. The nursery man said I could not propagate from cuttings and get the same fruit. I wonder why.
He probably just meant that you couldn't propagate from cuttings. Notice the video above didn't show the roots, these cuttings probably died after leafing out without roots.
Good job
Very good
Gracias por enseñarnos 🙂
Thank you so much sir , hoping have more useful clip
So nice of you
Interesting!!! I’ll try this way 👍👍
WHAT DO MEAN BY SOAK 30 DAYs.
most likely it's for 30 minutes.
Soak for 1 day then put in moist soil for 30 days
Good talent in plantation
Beautiful! Thank you!!
Glad you like it!
I like your video of your performance and I’m interested to know what type of soil do you use to grow jujubes. Would you please share. Thanks
Regular soil which water can flow out easily
Where was the Jujube cup during the 30 and 15 day periods. Indoor / outdoor / shade ? I am in Arizona - zone 9 Thanks
keep it in a warm place- not too hot as heat will kill these young branches as will drying them out- the plastic bag in indirect light should
allow it to grow. Im in zone 10 in Ca and I do this very often, not always using a plastic bag- but i think the plastic bag will keep moisture in.
I'm not sure what kind of Juju be.
Good music choice 👌
It is nice to hear from u ❤️
Hi, did they survive? I planted one on May 6th, and it's growing like weeds, but people told me they grow first, then they die.
some will die , some will survive. So, do many of them
I ordered by mail so will it still grow after its been in a box a few days
Yes happy gardening 🥰
I got the leaves but no root. Do I take off plastic after the leaves come out and put under sun?
Use chemical hormone to boost root quick, without root it will die
I have tried this method several times. Leaves will grow but no root. Cutting will die couple months later.
Yes , it not work with jujube
@@SokhaChetra But the whole point of this video is to root jujube cuttings, right?
Thank you I enjoy watching it , I’m desperately looking for a jujube tree or plantitas but can’t find one . I’ll try to have some cuttings and hopefully in next two years I ll get the blooms . I like the sweet kind crunchy one . Can you pls send me some cuttings . I’ll endorse the stamps and labor thank you 🙏
I’m from west California coast
i am in Cambodia. you can look at nearby area.
Where are you in CA? I'm near Pasadena and have a tree.
Wonderful, how long does it take to fruit?
Thank you for making your informative video : )
It should fruit in 1 or 2 years
@@SokhaChetra I will grow just as you have shown just from the clipping? You don't have to graft ?
@@victhewrangler you can grow from cutting like i show in the video
I just paid $110 for GA 866 in 15 gal.... Damm....
Awesome
How long until it produced fruit from the cutting?
it should be around 1 or 2 years
To everyone this experiment was failed as admitted by the author, please check all the comments. If anybody had succeeded please share.
yes. This method works but sometimes it failed.
Soak the cuttings in water for 30 days, the portion of the cutting above water would be all dried and dead.
Thx for suggestion 😊
@@SokhaChetra you want to say 30 minuties maybe?
What sort is this jujube? Indian?
most likely it's for 30 minutes.
@@SokhaChetra should the cutting be soaked in water for 30 days or 30 MINUTES? Many people in the comments for your video are asking but get no response...is DAYS or MINUTES (the video caption states 30 DAYS in water)
30 minutes guys
How much is produced from fruits, leaves and waste
Please show the roots as well. I’ve experienced where leaves grew before roots and failed .
sometimes, i failed too.
I tried with 30 cuttings. They all put out shoots but none of them rooted.
use small branches as small as possible . i start with 3 , 2 died. 1 made roots.
Yes it’s works
What is the name of this jujube plant?. Does it drop its leaves in the winter season?.
it don't know its variety name bro sorry. we live in tropical climate. it is fine.
Does the plastic cup have drainage holes, I assume?
Yes ma'am 😊
Hello. When is best time to do it ? Can I do it in winter ?
It works any season. Try it
Whose song is this please....only hear it from videos
15 days ago = 15 days later?
តើខ្ងុំអាចផ្សាំដើមពុទ្រាខ្មែរតាមរបៀបហ្នឹងបានទេ? ខ្ងុំបានសាកតាមរបៀប air layer method តែអត់ដុះឬសសោះ!
If you used rooting powder on the cuttings I'm sure they would have "striked" much sooner with both leaves & roots.
thank you a lot for suggestion
I am ur subscriber ... where is Ur place, Nation,?
Cambodia
Hello. Just for clarification. Is this a Jujube plant cutting? Down in the comments you responded to someone that this wasn’t Jujube. Thank you.
Yes bro. It is jujube cutting. This method works with many plants
Can you do this method from hardwood (already browned stems) cutting jujube?
It will not work ,I think
@@SokhaChetra I have tried this method with a few stems. I'll update you if it works.
@@SokhaChetra one of the stems grew leaves. It works! I haven't checked for roots, afraid to break or damage them.
@@mablechan3314 would update
@@mablechan3314 did you soak for 30 days in plain water or used a hormone?
When is the best time to grow it
Why do you soak for 30 days?
just soak for 30 minutes bro
Soak for 30 days or minutes?
most likely it's for 30 minutes.

PLEASE CORRECT THE VIDEO! Soak 30 Min...NOT 30 days!!
thank you a lot for feedback,
Are you serious soak for 30days in the videos says
Soak 30mn in water , then place in cup wrap with plastic. It works
Soak for 30 days? That seems too long, do you mean 3 days or 30 minutes?
