Happy Birthday Dear Friend!!!! 🤗❤️
Views on the road Thank you Amiga! 😁😁😁
Hi
Wayne Reynolds WAY! She is so awesome! And happy birthday 🎊🎈🎉

My wife and I wanted to thank you! We adopted 3 Mexican American boys and I have made this recipe for them several times now. It was a hit! My oldest son loves this recipe as it reminds him of his time in Mexico! We are determined to not let our children lose their history, their culture! Thank you for all of your videos and helping our family keep traditions alive for our babies! My family and I are very excited to make more of your recipes for sure! Please know that you are sharing more than how to make a recipe. You are helping all of us share traditions and make new and wonderful memories! For this I am very grateful to you!
This means a lot to us. I appreciate what you are doing with all my heart. Mexican recipes will vary depending on the states. Just like you have New York or Chicago pizza. Your children will love you forever for what you are doing for them. Thank you for taking the time on our kind people. We are a social happy go lucky gifted people. If you ever need or have a Mexican culture question. We are here for you. Love your youtube Tias ❤️
*my recipes are Nothern Mexico based, but I'm knowledges in Mexican cuisine amongst others

@@Viewsontheroad The kids are so excited about the holiday recipes! They love to learn and help, so we are all learning together! I am so happy I found your channel and am grateful to both you and your sister! You guys have been such a blessing to our home! 🥰
God Bless You for Adopting these young boys, there is definitely a special place in Heaven for loving people such as yourself! You are not only giving these boys a family and a home to call their own, but you are teaching them a culture that will give them a sense of belonging to, as well as understanding where they come from. The Hispanic/Latino Culture is all about Family, Friends and The Community in which they live. Enjoying life is expressed in everything we do, and what better way to bring people together, than through delicious foods prepared from recipes that have been passed down for generations!
Dang it’s sad that people in the comments feel the need to correct her and try and say she’s doing it wrong!! There ARE PEOPLE who will LOVE HER WAY AND RESPECTS THE WAY SHE DOES THINGS, and correcting someone for the words they use is so rude we see what she’s making and if she wants to call it one thing but you call it another that’s fine but don’t be the rude person who corrects everything 🤦♀️
It’s not even just that people don’t realize everyone’s family has their own way of doing something then add in preference and then potentially food allergies, etc etc. Even something as simple as a pancake there’s various ways to make it per family, city, and even country as well. Lol people just like complaining.
I always say in my kitchen there's no rules you do as you wish that's how resapies are born & we all have our own ways & methods no right or wrong loved your comment.
Trolls nowadays are just ridiculous! I like you call them
*ASS-TROLLS*
It fits them well!
I love her! She's great! great job!
Blakelynn; AMEN SISTER!!
My mom is Mexican/Spanish & her parents never taught her how to speak Spanish or cook very much Mexican food. They really Americanized her, so that means that I never got to live out the Mexican & Spanish in me. We live in San Diego & so I just go buy Mexican food when I want it, but my husband & I are moving to the south & your videos have taught me how to make Mexican food 💛 now I actually feel a tiny bit more Mexican 😂😂 thanks Steph!
Amiga we have all been Americanized. I find that the more I research and learn about my ancestors. The closer to the creator I feel. If you search the way I have you will also feel some type of way. It's heartbreaking what they had to go through. We are currently going through detox on the channel and will be doing my best to add more healthy versions of Mexican food on our channel.
Katie Alyse I know this comment is so old but SAME. I’m learning so much through food and my family is loving it. I’m so grateful.
Same here. My grandparents were the first generation born in the U.S. and I think they were trying to make things easier for their kids by having them grow up American, but we missed out on being connected to our heritage.
TheEudaimonya I feel you!! I’m also dirty blonde and blue eyed so I was never labeled anything but white.
At least we can learn now and teach our children! ❤️
Girl, you are Mexican no matter...in the ❤️.☺️
Because of this recipe, I started my own little concha hustle! It's been a hit within my community so thank you SO MUCH for this video, Concha Mom!
Hey can you help me out my concha dough is insanely sticky and I followed the recipe, but I’m not sure the measurements are correct. You got any advice my dough comes out brown and has the consistency of chewed gum, it also sticks to the skin really good, so I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.
A great tip for cutting down on plastic use is using shower caps for covering proofing/resting dough. I get mine at the dollar store. They last a long time too!
Great tip. Thanks.
That's a great idea. I've been trying to find ways to cut down on plastic
I grew up using flour sack towelsfor this job.
We use kitchen towel, been doing that my whole life.
I find it so sweet that your sis tells you not to ever call yourself an idiot. That's amazing.
I love that your sister is there most the time to support and keep you company🤗❤ Thank you for all the great recipes🤤
Oh yum..... We used to buy these all the time when we lived in Colorado.... We love love them....
Ong. I’m so glad I found this recipe!! I moved from Orange County (California) to western Pennsylvania and there’s no Mexican markets and the Mexican food here is so different then SoCal and I’ve been craving these my entire pregnancy. My grandmother in law used to make them from scratch for us all the time for years, but she won’t share the recipe yet 😂 she says if she does wen won’t come visit so we have to wait 😂😂 so I’m so excited to make these and eat them this week!
Girl u can cook. I remember the only mexican family on my block were from mexico. And they taught me how to cook and eat all kinds of authentic mexican food. Plus my second wife was mexican. I love it and i love the old fashion cooking u show. Great work. Your husband is one lucky guy. Thank you !
I could watch you and your son all day long. Such a sweet smart boy!
Concha ice cream sandwich!!! THE DREAM 💯😋💕
Never thought of that but it sounds amazing 👏
I moved to WA 8 years ago and there isn’t very much Mexican culture up here. Or it’s really hard to find. Thank you so much you made my little Mexican heart so happy ❤️❤️
Fraya Love What part of WA state do you live in?
Ik these are old comments, but I live in Wa state also. Little town called Orting. Where are y'all at? Im half mex and half germ. My bestie is half too.
Years ago, in the early 1960s, we lived in Seattle. We used to visit my Mom's uncle Bob who married Tia Gloria. She was from Mexico and when we would visit she made us the most wonderful food. I was only 4 or 5 but she gave me a love of Mexican food that has lasted my whole life. Please do what you can to continue your Mexican heritage in WA. You never know who you will inspire!
You and Your Son are Adorable together !!💞💝
Super Video, seeing u work with U.R. SON was a great relationship builder. Keep him included in your Videos.
Your bread sifting is giving me ASMR! Keep up the great work. Sending love from Houston!
My grandma has that same sifter, I loved baking with my grandma as a child and I am so grateful to have learned her recipes.
I’ve done a different recipe in the past and it came out perfect but I tried making it again this week and I kept failing over and over again I got super disappointed in myself but then I found this recipe and OMG! My family loved this recipe wayyyyyy more thank you soooo much! I feel like I can bake again 😊
My family is Cuban and from Texas so something about listening to your accent, in the kitchen, with your sis and kids is SOOO nostalgic for me!! Love your channel and my kids do too. 💝💝💝💝
They turned out beautiful! Can’t wait to try them, my dough is rising as I type. I have a great tip on rising dough. Boil some water and pour into a casserole dish, place inside oven with the covered dough (oven off of course). The yeast loves the warmth and the moisture in the air. You get the best rise.
Can’t wait to try this tip ❤️🎄
Thats called Proofing.
Hey can you help me out my concha dough is insanely sticky and I followed the recipe, but I’m not sure the measurements are correct. You got any advice my dough comes out brown and has the consistency of chewed gum, it also sticks to the skin really good, so I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.
@@theicedragonify sounds like you have to much liquid. Always measure for a recipe like this, if you are off it will mess up the entire thing. Maybe try to add a little flour to it. Maybe it could save it. Good luck.
@@Truth911- I do measure, and use what’s in the description, but still can’t seem to work it out, I added more flour on my 3rd attempt and got it more dry . Then I let it rise, and it rose but it’s a small amount of dough hopeful they turn out better than I imagine.
I love you guys. Your antics at the end have me laughing out here. Thank you for putting yourself in the videos. Be yourself and delete those haters. You make everything seems so simple to make.
I love conches!!!❤️ I wish you had a cookbook! You girls make me smile! I miss my identical twin and watching you feels like having her close by
I just made these and they are delicious! My family all came in and wanted them as soon as they came out of the oven. I used all purpose flour instead of bread flour, but I am so happy about how these turned out. I actually saw your original recipe last week and was thinking about them when this was posted lol.
YES, So happy the family loved them!!
So the all purpose flour worked well ? I have all the ingredients minus bread flour
@@britnyrocks1 it did! Bread flour is a little better, but I've done it with both types of flour now, and they both work fine. Go for it!
Mama you do you, everyone comes from different part of the world and we all do things our way. That's the best part about sharing you learn new things! I love your style. I am going to make these for my boyfriend, he's from New Mexico.
I too love the way you and your sister carry on. Made me wish I was there laughing with you, you guys made me enjoy watching you. Keep it up
You are here with us hermana🤗 Thank you for spending time with us!

I luv the way your sister whisper this is better than grandma conchas😂😂😂
LOL! This was music to my ears. Finding my way through my ancestor's recipes and making them comfortable for my home has been quite the experience. I feel in a way, I make my tribe proud. I managed to have a great texture and flavor profile for this recipe. End goal being, easy comfort foods for the views club homes. ❤️
IKR?😂😂 What a compliment!!👍🏼💞
I’ve made these several times now & my whole family loves them. My dad is diabetic so I make some with out the fondant on top & he loves it. I’ve even made some where I snuck chocolate chips in it & OMG it was amazing!
TFS amiga so happy your family enjoyed some homemade chochas. Oh, yeah! so proud of you 💕
I love all your videos but This is my favorite video. Only because I came across it and found you 😘 you’re videos are so informative and I enjoy cooking your recipes!
🛎😘 #thenothing
I LOVE that you give measurements in grams.
I have just recently stumbled upon your channel and OMG I'm so excited! I'm Mexican but, unfortunately, my Grandmother and mother are not your typical maternal Mexican cooks lol. So, I know very little about cooking AUTHENTIC Mexican food and have been on a mission to find a teacher or youtuber ;D. So happy I found your channel! I'm planning on making these conchas for easter! :D
THANK YOU!!!
Hi Deborah Corona, thanks for subscribing! Welcome to the Views Club🤗 You'll find a lot of fusion and make it comfortable for your home cooking. I do have elaborate traditional recipes that in the busy American lifestyle can be difficult. The time spent is an all-day project. I have simplified my recipes without losing the flavor. Seeing people speak of recipes can be intimidating. Especially, in Mexican culture. Someone says it's difficult the others refuse to share the dynamic to what makes a recipe. In the end, I find great joy in sharing what I have learned. In hopes, someone enjoys a delicious soul filled meal.
@@Viewsontheroad Girl, my favorite days are the ones that give me an excuse to spend ALL day in the Kitchen :D. But yes, I agree, the recipes you post are perfect for the busy American that still wants to enjoy the comfort of a home cooked, from scratch meal. I love that! I sincerely appreciate what you do on your channel :). Looking forward to watching more of your recipes :D
I've recently discovered your channel and I'm hooked!! Thank you for all the great recipes and stories! I've been a cook and baker for 40 years and I still love learning new things!! I can not wait to make these with my children and adult foster girls! God Bless!
Your videos make me hungry, great videos !
You and Cloud make my day. I love the interaction.
Just made these for the first time!!! They came out GREAT!!! Thank you ❤🎉
My kids are going to love these! The colors make them look so modern!
I just recently discovered your channel and I am So Happy to have met you! I’ve been living in Honolulu for the past 26 years and didn’t learn much Mexican cooking before moving here. I could make a few dishes and tortillas since we can’t consider buying store tortillas- they’re horrible. My mom would cook some delicious meals when she would visit , but now my mom is no longer with us and your recipes are bringing back so many happy memories. I ordered the Santa Cruz chili and the masteca masa. Can’t wait to get started cooking. My grown son who Lives for good Mexican food is going to be very happy. Thank you- I think you’re awesome!
Aww! I want one now with coffee! Stop playin!! Craving one! It 2.. yumm!
Or with Abuelita hot chocolate lol

Our crazy city taxes went up on businesses so our only Mexican store and bakery had to shut down. I am a newly wed. Thank you for making these. New subscriber here 🙋🏻♀️ I love your videos, recipes and your personality! The only trouble is I’ve been binge watching your videos at 9:00 at night and now I’m starving!! 😳
I love your videos! I really love the family atmosphere, the chatting, & the long length of the videos! I hate watching those cooking videos that are like 5 min, or 10 min. Like really, who the heck cooks a whole traditional meal in a few minutes!?! Keep up the good work, love you!
I appreciate your feedback amiga. Coming from someone that has gone through many recipes; I wouldn't feel comfortable providing a recipe without the proper ingredients and details. It's those moments that happen in the kitchen that are the most important. My intent is to help as many friends as I can feed their families and not waste food or time. If you like the flavors I provide in my recipes they are pretty exact to how I feed my family. You know salt, spice, and pepper to taste of course. If you need us we are here to help. Hope you have a lovely day ❤️
They came out beautiful

Don’t listen to people giving you a hard time. You call it what you want. It’s your channel. But if you are interested, the French have a version and call the shell “craquelin.” (“Choux au Craquelin are mini cream puffs topped with a sweet crispy topping, called craquelin... The craquelin is a dough made with softened butter, brown sugar and flour. It is chilled and then cut into thin discs to place on top of the choux to bake together.”)
Just saying the word makes me smile. Thank you for taking the time.
I notice your topping is thicker than what I see in the bakery I like it better and I love the vibrant beautiful colors. Thank you
