Tom Scholz was gifted Tommy DeCarlo by God because of all the great and wonderful things he does for the disadvantaged. Time & money..Long live Boston & The Genius that is Tom Scholz.
Let's not gloss over being gifted Gary Pihl, former Sammy Hagar guitarist. If there were ever an underrated guitarist, he's it. I was fortunate to see Sammy and Eddie on stage together the first time at Farm Aid 1985 and Gary was there with Sammy. The dude rocks!
Boston sounds better today than they did in the 70’s. The lead vocalist they have now sounds great, even looks a bit like Brad. Just wish Brad was still here. I always loved their music. I praise Tom Sholtz for his genius and wanting to keep the band going! These guys will rock into and right through infamy!
@@mitchellsumpter4807 what are you talking about? it is hard to judge from a video shot with a cell phone! Live Boston but the stuff i find on you tube doesn't have that rich clear sound muddled i hope someone has some better sounding downloads in future i also love the band big country there stuff on you tube sounds fantastic
Just the way Tommy got his gig with these guys kinda tells me there was some kind of spiritual intervention involved, Brad from the other side maybe trying to save the band he loved and felt bad for leaving or something else idk? He didn't audition or even think he would even have a shot at such a wonderful experience fronting this band, Tom over heard his wife listening to Tommy doing karaoke of a Boston song and swore it was Brad until she showed him it wasn't. What are the chances of something like that happening? I'm certain without knowing that he had the utmost admiration and respect for who and what Brad Delp was and along with the rest of the Boston fans loves the music, he's not trying to be Brad Delp or replace him but he certainly does a fantastic job of honoring a great man and the music he left behind. I've seen many comments under different videos of these guys in reference to Tommy having "no stage presence" wtf does that even mean??? I personally would rather watch someone being sincere and trying to do a good job than having to be embarrassed watching some narcissistic ass hat convulsing on stage stroking his ego, as a long time Boston fan I personally am grateful they found Tommy and offered him the job and I'm sure there isn't a day he doesn't wake up feeling the same way✌🏼️
Haha, I was thinking the same thing. How many Rockmans do you need. I know how big one can sound, I guess if one is good... twelve must sound like 60 guitars.

Exactly right. For mostly better and sometimes worse Boston is Tom's baby. I wish he used Brad and Barry more as song writers rather than trying to do everything himself. The stuff they did solo, with Orion the hunter and with RTZ was good. Boston should have made more albums but no one can complain about the first two. They were flawless.
Tom didnt want to pay the existing members what they wanted and deserved thats why tom is worth 100 million and everyone else is broke poor brad barely had anything in the bank when he passed😞😞😞😞
Why is Jeff behind a shield? Aren't they normally used because the drums are too loud, in the studio or a church or something? What's the point in a live show like this?
He's behind the baffles to keep sound out. His kit is totally mic'd and having those baffles allows the sound guy to mix the drums without guitars bleeding into the drum mics. There's other advantages like the drummer not having to compete volume-wise with the rest of the band....he can play without having to beat the drums hard and letting the sound guy do the work.
