I'm 65 years old and have been eating egg salad as long as I can remember. Now that I am retired and doing more of the cooking, sites like this are of real interest to me. Which brings me to the point of my comment. In all my years I have never had egg salad with bacon bits. Green onion, celery, even chopped peppers but not bacon. Spam would be tasty and the next time I do ribs I am saving one to chop up and add to a batch of egg salad. I can't wait!!!!

I've learned so much from your fine videos. So many great recipes and techniques! I have the large Instant Pot, but for your egg method I use the 3 quart version, same amount of water, but increased time (9 or 10 minutes, depending on the number of eggs). Sometimes I just use two or three yolks and 6 whites. A paper towel is great for absorbing the water from the silicon cover before removing the container, and a cheese slicer with a single wire easily cuts the eggs in various directions. Thanks again!

A couple shakes of celery seed and maybe some fresh dill and parsely, if it's popped up in the garden or greenhouse. But normally egg salad is what i make from the eggs that didnt peel pretty. Make deviled or pickled eggs and the uglies get chopped into egg salad. Here's something i have found, farm fresh eggs need to just be left on the counter for about 2 weeks and they will peel easier. I used to get about 40 dozen eggs a week. Plus about 2 dozen bantam eggs (make great picklers). So i had room to experiment a bit and still had plenty for the farmers market. I am unsure about pressure cooking an egg, though your method seems pretty nifty. Anyway, good job.

Okay now I kind of want to make egg salad sandwiches today even though I have chicken laid out to cook. But I do have one tip for people who want to Jazz up their egg salad sandwiches... if you have any packets of the ranch dressing mix, just add just a little of that in when you mix it up and also to cut calories you can use Greek yogurt for half of what the mayonnaise portion is. Just mix the two and it still creamy and delicious.
Also, if you like to make deviled eggs you can also put that little bit of ranch dressing packet in it and it kicks it up a little bit

This is one way to do it. But in reality. It takes 10 minutes to cook hard boiled eggs on the regular stove.. The key to easy peel is immerse in cold water..crack them under the water. Then peel. The texture is better. IMHO. Mash eggs with potatoes masher in the bowl then the board doesn't need cleaning. 😊
Sometimes adding shrimp or crab is tasty too.
But glad you found the way you like.

It's so funny. My mother used to save all the little cookbooks from countless food and appliance companies and when I looked through the stuff, I could see a time in the nineteen forties and fifties when pressure cookers were all the rage and were touted as amazing time saving kitchen cookware that could turn cheap meat into tender roasts and so on. They were so versatile and fast and came in various sizes from canners to saucepans. It was the do all kitchen device then and here it is again..... in a fancy jacket.

It's not a recipe that comes to mind often but when it does... it's always, why don't I eat this more often? 😆

Bacon, celery, powered mustard and lemon along with everything you added. On crescent rolls, if we are feeling fancy we add spinach on top with advocates!

Cubed ham is an amazing addition too. Bacon goes with everything, it is meat candy after all!😆 When I add bacon I also add shredded sharp cheddar 😋 Our new favorite right now is "Denver" salad, the eggs of course , with tiny ham cubes in the eggs during cooking, shredded cheese, finely chopped sweet bell peppers, and for this version miracle whip instead of regular mayo. Cheers!

I really enjoy your videos and learn a lot about the cooking appliances you use. I’d really like it if you would do more with the Jule sous vide. I received one from my son and I’d love to see more videos where you use it. I’ve watched your other ones several times but I need to see you do more with it. You cook everyday common ingredient foods. Thank you for all your great lessons. Dude is a blast!

LOL! Lots of people have been recommending the Japanese mayo in egg salad. Maybe you have some of that at home? Then you don't need to go out. 😉

When I first got my instant pot I was a bit hesitant. But I got onto RUclips, was inspired by some really easy quick recipes, and now it's a staple in my life. Just got a sous vide as well last month, and I'm loving that too.
