It actually is being turned into a movie and Forna is working on the film as well! She shared in a book talk. I really appreciated how friendship was lent far more importance than romance. It felt unusual for fantasy in my opinion. Enjoyed this review!

Love this! I just stumbled across your channel, so if you’ve read this already I apologize. If you enjoyed The Guilded Ones, you’ll love Legendborn. It does have a pretty big info dump as fantasy tends to do, but no more so than The Guilded Ones! Legendborn is a twist on Arthurian legend, with demons and magic, but it takes place in our world, so there isn’t the dreaded world building.

I started "The Gilded Ones" today, and am about to start the fourth chapter... After making a fresh cup of coffee. I've already fallen in love with the first the chapters and can't wait to unlock the other levels of the story🌱✨
I just read this book and I agree with the ending. The scene in the salt mine should have been the start of book 2. The last 50 pages felt rushed but it was amazing nonetheless
Wonderful review, I just finished reading the book a few weeks ago and I can’t stop thinking about it!! I have already started rereading it again because of how much I loved it, and I agree that this book would make such an AMAZING movie. I honestly think it could be the next Harry Potter or Hunger Games series. Also loved hearing how you imagined the deathshrieks! I personally pictured them looking exactly like the Bandersnatch in the live action Alice in Wonderland movie, even though I’m almost positive the author described something completely different. 😂 Truly cannot wait for the second book, I’m so psyched for it!!

Today is 17th of August/21, and I just finished reading chapter 10. I wasn’t understanding it until I found your video. I usually read small novel books, that’s why it was a hard for me.
"a little too long" is pretty good for fantasy. (lotta windy writers in that particular genre) Glad the new genre was and enjoyable visit. Always a nice surprise when we try knew things and are not disappointed :)
