- Join me with my 1st video and air gun purchase of 2023. The Umarex Notos in .22 caliber! I'm really stoked about this little carbine, and it will serve a much-needed purpose for me on my Dairy Farm permissions. In this video, i cover, the unveiling, the overview, some target shooting and lastly, PESTING!

I love your philosophy about guns serving a specific purpose! I totally agree
Hec G! Come on brotha, I thought your were better than that! You know darn well that's just the BS i keep feeding people so i (or WE) can buy more airguns! Hell, there is more on the way right now because, "they have a "SPECIFIC" purpose🤣 20 FPE is too powerful, I now need a 12 FPE gun for even more covert bird sniping. LMAO, yall know im kidding....lol. Thanks Hec G!
Lol I totally understand that, my wife lways asks why I need a new gun and I tell her exactly what you just said…I need it for a specific reason lol. It doesn’t work all the time but I’ll pick my fight wisely
@@Tofazfou I dig on all your content, I’m begging you to please keep posting more pod cast. You, in my humble opinion are most informative, simply because your trajectory is spot on.

@@flyneagle8873 much love and much appreciated! I will do my best. Most encouraging words sir!
I set up my guns for specific jobs as well.
Yes sir I do the same. I have my PCPs setup for a specific job and this Notos is perfect for CQB. I have used my Liberty .22 for a long time because of the H&L knob on the side. H = 920 FPS where L = 725 FPS. The only issues with this is the Liberty is a wood stock full length rifle. This Notos is the Liberty on Low power but a 3rd of the length and just as accurate not to mention 4 freaking pounds! Amazing! Grandkid sized also!!! A 10 year old will have a heck of a lot of fun with his pappy with this little monster!
Oh gosh yes! Grand Kids would love this little gun. Definitely light and compact enough. Weight is one thing but when ANY gun is sorta heavy in weight but really FRONT heavy, that's what makes it hard for kids to hold. Being front heavy is the worst. Luckily, this little gem suffers from none of those flaws. And, another thing that makes it good for kids is the adjustable butt stock. As they grow, so can the gun. I'm 6-2" and this thing fits me like a glove. So a child could def grow into the gun.
Awesome review and excellent video footage. The NoTos hits hard for a .22 under 800 fps, along with your legendary shooting skills. When you modify it for more power and accuracy please bring us along. More please!
Whoa! Whoooa maaaan🤣. This lil beasts' fpe is gonna be kept OEM but, if there are some cool aftermarket external goodies, I'll buy those up!
Good review Cedric! Thanks for catching me up on the NoTos. It was good seeing you at SHOT 😊. Take care, Steve
What's up Steve?! Thanks for stopping by and taking a look. It's a really fun and worth every Penny x's 5! Will definitely be interested to see what you think
Excellent review. I'm still impressed by my Notos and I told you...them .22 JSB Hades are the DEAL! Nice shooting Ced. Keep these 2023 vids coming.
I will Lil Spoon🤣!, I will! You know i trust your word brotha! Thanks
@@Tofazfou thanks Master Spooner!
Best pellets out there, imo.
@@fiddy_watchguy they do get the job done. 👍🏾
I just ordered one. I really love my.gamo arrow with knight scope for rat killing on the farm. Very compact and quiet can shoot it around the cows. Can’t wait to try the Notos. Thanks for the video.
Excellent review! I am amazed at the value proposition of this gun given its performance and versatility.
I have no purpose for buying mine other than it’s cool and I like it.
I own a Marauder pistol in .22 that's similar to the Notos, but costs a deal more$$. The Notos develops more energy, offers adjustable power, AND is regulated making for a consistent hunting gun. If I was choosing between the 2 guns today, I would opt for the Notos. Nice video.
Thanks for your video! You did a great job!
An airgun for and with a purpose is a happy airgun.
Haha, I like that. Might quote that one day
Please do more videos with this gun !! Thanks , appreciate this helpful video!!
Working on #2. Wait, that don't sound right............lol
Been waiting on another video, your one of the guys who has me hooked...
haha, love it T! Its the real deal. My good friend suggested it to me as he tested it before its release. And he was on point as usual
Finally got mine from Pyramid Air after 6 weeks on back order. Super excited to get out there and get it sighted in. Thanks for the video review especially your chrony specs and projectile weights!
Your shooting is legendary 😮

@@Tofazfou I really want one 👍Probably my next
After watching a few videos on this rifle and this being one of the better ones…I decided to buy one this weekend. Now the waiting.😎
Hopefully you got it by now and you are happy with your purchase. Thanks for tuning in and commenting
Excellent
THANK YOU
Cranberry sauce with some kick ass dressing and fried juicy turkey chunks...is heaven.
That’s a lot of pigeons! Would like to get one of these air guns for garden pests. Thanks for the good information.
I did finally get the Notos!not a huge fan of it! Notos means the WIND god! But the DAR gen3 is a better rifle overall. All my other 300+ air rifles are adjustable mostly. I have a bunch set low already and then a slew of different caliberz set medium and then high. This is a very nice video on this Umarex tho. Have fun with er! Hey sta slingin that sweet air rifle lead! Ed da pro snippin air man 💥💪😱😱😱
Nice job on the video as always. These are a cool little rifle. Especially for the money. Mine likes the hades also. 😊👍🏼
Good imput Carl. Thanks for the kudos also.....
Thanks for the video bro good info still for my Notos😔 good info on Hades too👍 all I got is Crosman premier hollow point $7 for 500 pellets in Walmart. Good pellets for the buck😀. Have a good one 👋🙂
Great gun, bought two of them!
Now your a man with taste. NICE!
Happy 2023 brother and the money spent on this rifle is well worth it. Oh and before I go. I love cranberry sauce. 😁😁😁Without the berries. Have a blessed evening.
Right on! I agree with ya, the money is well spent for sure. This little Carbine Rocks! Oh, and about the Cranberries........that stuff makes awesome ballistics gel. I LOVE IT TOO!!!🤣
@Tofazfou I going to purchase this rifle in March, I bought a knew Bow for deer hunting, so I will have to move some of my baseball cards, but that carbine will definitely be my next purchase.
I'm from the Netherlands and realise I bought the wrong gun got the hatsan jet 1 mistake I should have bought this one ...the problem here in the Netherlands these guns are almost twice the price as in other countries...I'm buying it anyway. Great vid
Awesome been looking at the gun for a while it's a gun I can just grab go outside and do a little pest control or for my son who is 5 yrs old to learn to shoot pcp air guns Awesome video thanks for sharing bsafe buddy 👍
Would be excellent for you little one to learn on. And you nailed it. You can just pick this thing up and walk outside and pest aways. Also would make an excellent truck
@@Tofazfou yes sir thanks 😊
Don Francisco (Vanilla Nut) is my current favorite coffee.
Notos - Greek god of the south wind. Hades - Greek god of the underworld. What a great combination.🤓👍
Ive got a 9 iron in the closet, so I can go be a professional golfer……I love that…..my ex ‘how many guns do you need?’ My response, ‘how many pairs of shoes do you need….one pair of tennis shoes or hikers should be enough for you, and you complain about wearing half of them….’ I’ve owned over 300 powder burners in 30 yrs. Different calibers, styles, actions, and most of them had different uses. With air guns, even more so.
Pouring the water out reminds me of a saying involving cow’s and flat rocks. 😂 I grew up around cattle so it’s a familiar sound
Mine does really well with the Hades.
newbie to channel ..nice one cheers from uk.....
love the name and always love my UK people! Much respect and love. Thank you
😋mmmmmmmmm…ballistic cranberry sauce . Been watching a bunch of reviews on this little thing. I think Im sold. I said my next one would be another .30 cal, but Air Venturi STILL hasn’t made the Avenger in .30…….so I’m being patient guys. That was just in case they’re reading this too. 😂🤣
Great video - what do you recommend for a scope and for High Pressure Hand Pump ? thank you!!!
Hey man great video. It would be great for killing rats or mice in the barn and around the farm for sure. You put some smackdown on those pigeons and squirrels as well. This gun would easily fill with a hand pump due to it's small tank size. Just found your channel in my feed and am subscribing now. Thanks again for the demo!
Perfect for killing rats for sure. You can reduce power even further
I miss working on the Dairy farm and hunting on the farm. I shot my first bird on the Dairy at about age 10.
Question: are the mags the same as other umarex rifles? Thanks for the good review!
Good sir
thank you SK
Hey man, nice review. A few questions. Is 20 shots good or bad compared to an average pcp? im new to pcp and looking for my first one and was thinking this might be it, would you suggest it? or is there something else under 300 i should look at instead?
Good question and thank you. For the power output AND size of the air tank on the gun, its a great number of shots if your pesting/hunting. If your sitting at a bench and punching paper and tin cans all day, you will want more shots per fill. But 20 is great for hunting because, most people aren't going to kill 20 things each and every time. The air cylinder on this air gun is SMALL but efficient! This gun is actually a PISTOL. I would not recommend it for a 1st air rifle though. The NoTos makes for a good addition to an airgunners collection that he/she already has. There are a lot of good sub $300-500 dollar FULL SIZED PCP's out there that I would recommend as a first. Air guns such as the Air Venturi Avenger and/or its Bull Pup version. For a bit more, I would go with either a Umarex Gauntlet 2 or a JTS AirCuda. Check out air gun websites like Pyramid Air or Utah Air guns. You can categorize air guns buy your budget limit ($300 etc) to see what peeks your interest. Thanks for watching and if you have any other questions, Fire away...........
Thanks for the comprehensive review! So, my Notos came in today and unfortunately it’s pretty inaccurate. I’m new to PCP’s though, so maybe I’m missing something? I bought some store bought Benjamin BHP hollow point pellets and am wondering if that’s my problem? Shooting even 15 yards sometimes multiple shots are inches apart. Would appreciate any advice!
OK, that sucks. Do you know what speed you are shooting the Benjamin BHP? DEFINITELY try JSB pellets. The Walmart Crosman Premiers shoot decently well and they are available at most Walmarts acrossed the US. RWS superdomes, JSB 15.89 and 18.13 grs, JTS 18.1 gr, Predator Polymag SHORTS, JSB Hades all shoot lights out. As far as a suggestion goes, clean the barrel thoroughly, Check that all screws on the entire gun are tight (not overly tight), make sure all orings are intact and not missing, split or cracked and retry for groups. If your still having trouble after that, CONTACT UMAREXUSA
4×4,, First clean the barrel .well. Don't use anything steel in your barrel, never. get a Barrel Saver cleaner.
Use silicone lubricant
as the only lubricant for your gun. It's lower cost to buy walking tread lubricant - it's pure silicone oil. Don't use petroleum oil at all.
Next, you have to shoot enough pellets to break the gun in. Maybe 200.or 300.
Adjust your trigger to quite low poundage pull. 1 pound is usually great.
Then the search for the pellet the gun shoots most accurately can begin. It's a bit expensive buying so many different pellets, but it's enjoyable. Maybe someone will trade some pellets so you both don't have to buy as many.
First try a pellet that's been working in some other same brand n model. But that's no guarantee your gun will like the same pellets. Remember the same brand n model pellets are available in different head sizes, so all available head sizes need to be tested. I just enjoy the testing and don't let the expense get to me.
too much anyway.
Check your scope, mounts and everything for all screws n bolts being tight. Ask Umarex for torque specifications. Be careful, don't overtighten anything, especially on the scope. You can always tighten it a bit more a lot easier than buying a new part.
If bolts keep loosening, a drop of medium strength Lock Tite will fix that fast.
Don't shoot off shoulder while testing... Off bench only, because the shooter must be removed from the equation as much as possible. Make a sand bag, sand is along the roads and in the creeks.
Call Pyramyd Air (spelling is correct there) in Ohio and ask for their advice on what pellet might work best. They know a lot.
Be sure your shooting style is as precise as you can do.
Study the above factors on RUclips.
Enjoy.
One of these days I hope to make a video this good 5/5 *'s nice feather puffs
Stonie. Dude, i appreciate those words brotha. STAY WITH IT and always try to come up with good ideas. Having good camera equipment is imperative. Knowing what your talking about is the other thing that gets everyone excited to watch your videos. If people don't see clear quality video and you don't sound like you know your subject matter, those are the 1st 2 things that can ruin a Content Creators future. Good luck and stay at it! I just subbed your channel by the way!
At 782fps was that out of the box or did you tune it, hammer spring, bump up the reg? Sorry if you said that in the beginning
Would you recommend this for snakes? Rattlesnakes and copperheads in particular. Great review. So much better than some guy standing in front of a fake backdrop talking. We got to see actual usage.
Well thank you 😊. And a resounding HECK YES for snakes. Plenty of FPS and plenty of accuracy. Whether you're walking around swamp bottoms or you own property, this little gem is perfect in my option
🎯💯💥👍🏻✌🏻
Thanks brotha
That ‘Superdome’ flyer was definitely a bad pellet. That thing came out like a curveball. 🤪 You can clearly see it Tokyo drift to the outer edge. 🤓🤪😎
Next small game pistol good shooting
Thank u
🤠💥💥💥🤠
Hi brother would you recommend me which air gun as quite as NOTOS it pretty lightweight and I can shoot up to 100 yards or more for small game? Thanks
Do a review on Umarex Fusion 2
Another great video man, I appreciate the time you put into the videos. On another note, I can't remember if it's yours or if you were borrowing it, but how's that Challenger Pro 22 holding up?
The Challenger Pro 22 is mine! She is doing excellent. I've only had 1 oRing go out and it was easy to replace. She is deadly accurate and has power to spare. She is definitely a keeper and I love her
@Tofazfou Nice, glad to hear that. That's been the next gun on my list for awhile now, maybe this summer I'll finally pull the trigger on one.
@@TannerP97 So, a good tune is, NSA 31.2 gr HP slugs at .218 diameter doing 1000 fps! You will see............
@tofazfou OK good to know. How many shots per fill are you getting with that tune?
Those cows be like what's going on buddy , let me see .
awe man, I got some funny video of one staring deep into the camera at POINT BLANK Range. And was trying to lick the cameras tripod.😂😂🤣🤣
Do you have any issues with the fill probe?
The thing hits hard dis you modified it ?
Awesome shooting as always, that NoToes is a bad as gun...had umarex gone & gave it 30fpe, they'll never keep it in stock, I'm sure folks gone be buying this ...keep up the good work
HAHA, well Big E, the deal is, there are TOO MANY .22's out there that already do 30 fpe. Maybe not pistols but, thats why pistols don't do 30 fpe, they would have absolutely no shot count. IMO, the NoToes is a baaaad girl juuuuust the way she is.
@@Tofazfou I didn't even think about that way big homie, your absolutely right, she is a bad girl
Is there a better package in for 260 bucks? Regulated? Pic Rails? Suppressed? Carbine with adjustable stock or Pistol? 2 Stage Trigger? And its accurate? So glad I got one!
It truly is a DEAL! Time will tell on everything else about the gun. But, so far, so good.
Great gun!! What scope do you use on your Notos?
an old Bushnell AR223 3-12x40 scope with mildots. Not made any longer but, its one of many PERFECT sized scopes IMO for the NoToS
What scope are you using ?
Tof excellent video and no fluff or lies from you. Only one question. Why do the manufacturers advertise this gun as 12 FPE. Obviously you get 20 out of it. That’s a big difference. Did you tweak it?
Great question actually! And no, no lies, EVER! As far as the power rating, there has been actually three listings I've seen too. I've seen 12 fpe, I've seen 700 feet per second and on the box it says 780 ft. A close friend of mine at Predator pellets, sees about 760 fps. Now, I get 760+ fps and I do get like two 780 fps readings. Mine definitely is up in the 18 to 20 fpe! And averaging 19 fpe. The gun does have a power adjuster. So maybe some guns are turn down a little lower. But really though, I don't know. I would try contacting Umarex. But mine is doing exactly what it says on the box
They should make the air tube go the full length to the end of the moderator for more shots. There's no point in making a short air tube if the moderator is not removable.
Try the 18 grainers, 1 hole groups at 25, did better than the hades
Oh, I plan on it. Got the JSBs and the new JTS 18'S to test also
@@Tofazfou where can I find the jts pellets sir?
@@midwesttacticalair7742 right now, they are looking to put them on shelves soon. Try contacting Travis Whitney on Facebook. That's your best bet
Thanks for the video! Are you local to socal? Your background on the video looks familiar.
Yes. So cal
You know all of Southern California looks alike. They build it all the same
Is there a place where I can do some pest control that you would recommend?
Hey I've heard that the butt stock is hard to put on this due to the fact that the fit is so tight that you can't get the screw holes to line up any truth to that ?
It likes the poly mags too. Shorts
Not sure if the regular/ long version will fit into the mag.
Sweet little gun!
I have a red dot on mine. Need to find a cheap good compact scope with a thin reticle. Maybe a hawk 2-7 power.?
I'm to finding I need a little bit more scope. The 4x gets anemic due to hunting small birds and such. And you are right something with a thinner reticle would be optimal
Good info on the polymags too
@Tofazfou not sure if the poly mags will be accurate at distances, but for what you needed the Notos for I think they might add a little pop on impact 😉.
I'm sure the long/ regular version would work single loading. I just don't have any right now to try in the mag.
@@Tofazfou thanks again for all the videos. Love them all!
@@cliffb.2416 deep down in my gut, I just KNOW the polymags will be killer in that gun. Those Polymags have never let me down. From gun to gun, they are the cats meow. The Polymags and the 18.13's are up next for testing. And a few others too.
What does regulated mean ?
Idk what you did differently. But I have to say this may have been your best video to date. I don’t own a pcp gun that’s under 1500$ yet I have to have this one! 🍻
Thanks Supreme Renegade! WoOOOOOO! HaHa, just going back to some of my older ways of filming and presentation. And getting rid of scope cam (it sucks for video quality). For some years (too many), it seems like RUclipsrs didn't like to see too much talking, they just like to see action, action, action. Your compliment helps me find direction. So for now, i'll stick with this format
@@Tofazfou I used to be like that. I just want to see birds get thwacked at 200 yards over and over…. But then I got an airgun of my own and suddenly I was way more interested in the knowledge being shared in between shots. I’ve been hunting my entire life, and probably have 15k worth of airguns now!
I’m always looking for new ways to enjoy the hobby!! I’ve been on the heavy slug long distance train for soo long that light weight pellets at moderate speeds hasn’t even crossed my mind!! But man you made it look FUN!!! Not only that, you truly made it feel like we viewers were hanging out right along with you!! You definitely talk to us viewers not at us! And that’s huge! 🍻
@@Oregon-airguns brother you said some really wise words. And those words are going to help guide me in future videos. So the low power pellet thing is the challenge. After you shoot slugs for a while (years and years) you get spoiled. Also having all that power isn't necessary. Not in every instance. I used to shoot squirrels with my .257 and even though I was never in a dangerous situation, I quickly came to realize it was just too much gun for close in work. So the point is, it's fun to pick up a low-power gun and enjoy the quiet, and easy going of the experience. It's refreshing. And it's also honestly the right tool for that particular job.
My friends has a notos lots of people are buying them up
It's really a good little gun so far. It's only my 1st outing but so far, I'm Stoked!!
My guns have a purpose to kill invasive species in Florida . Need more Air guns for different conditions thank you for the review of the No Toes!!!! Lol
Its not no toes! It’s no toast!
Head shots
gotta love em! Thanks
I can see me purchasing that gun for ratting…
It would be EXCELLENT for that
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🤔🤔🤔
That’s a pp750 with a Facelift from china,,😂😂 I got a pp750 and they love the jsb 25 grains, try them.
yeah, it does resemble the pp and I think MAAAAYBE parts will interchange. Gonna find out here soon! I will for sure look into the 25 grs. LOVE IT! and thank you
Dad jokes 🤣🤣🤣
Good review of good gun thank you. But there are better ones
Bagai mana saya bisa mendapatkan senapan seperti ini,?
Notos means south
"The South Wind" actually
Nice rifle 20 ft lbs is plenty of power That will be classed as a Firearm in the UK . And this is another rifle we can get in the UK ☹
it really is PLENTY! Im glad i have a rifle at this setting as it even reminds ME, that, 700-800 fps is still super deadly and, in many instances, it can still over penetrate
Hard Pass
All good brotha. Hope you at least enjoyed the video
@@Tofazfou vid was cool.

What's wrong with cranberry sauce???
It's a pass for me. And yes, I've had it multiple times in the past. Just not for me.
Thanks for the review on the Notos. Are you local to socal? Shooting area looks familiar.
@@Tofazfou ,I'll trade my coffee ice cream for your cranberries. 100 of the ice cream to 1 cranberry.
Instead of tuning an air gun to fit one's specific needs for free, let's spend about $300 dollars to get a new air gun. Yeah, that makes perfect sense. 🙄
