I just recently visited and boy... the talent here is incredible. I’m currently a sophomore in high school and I’m pursuing art in the future. SVA is definitely one of my top choices, but the talent makes me feel intimidated. I’ve already started building up my portfolio, so fingers crossed that things pull through in the future🤞🏼
I was thinking the same thing. I was overwhelmed by the talent and feeling a bit conscious about my own talents so I made it my goal to focus on my week points this year (Junior) and then build my final portfolio next year. I hope to see you there
Man I wish I had started building my portfolio that early! You have plenty of time to branch out your style and try new things. You’re gonna do amazing things I guarantee :)

What are the dorms like for males? I don’t want to sound sexist, but are there enough male students to fill a few dorms? Are some of them coed?
