Most of your better professional drivers have come to learn how to fix their truck and keep the wheels moving. Hard to make money, if you are sitting around waiting for a tow/repair.
Now that is what I call commitment to your subscribers working like that in the rain. Too bad the commitment isn't the same for telling us which headlights you chose ... LOL all in good fun Larry.
Hello Larry Always is a screw that is a pain to deal with, need skills and patience to take care and have the job done. You make it look easy. Keep the good work.
It never seems to fail when you're working on what I working on something outside it seems to just start pouring as soon as I'm about halfway done. At least you got her fixed and she's up and running
John is APU is very old, but you have to remember this is a separate unit that needs maintenance, it is like a reefer unit on a trailer and asked to be taken care of two
Good job ! Just you don't get the labor rate ! Maybe Boss will feel a little better since you saved him a little money ! Poor John, how's he doing ? Last I saw he was in a motel room !
they are open till midnight,ah because of a thousand and one drops of trying to get the bolt in the hole.and getting a little wet.lv your raincoat.Be safe
Maybe you should carry an extra fuel pump in your truck. Reminds me of my old 73 plymouth, I always carried a extra electronic ignition module. Those things would leave you stranded in a hart beat.
Good job Larry, it helps to be a mechanic as well. Save the boss a few headaches and cash. Next, the boss will call you back to fix baby blue and give John a tank to do deliveries with lol. 👍👍🇵🇪
ThermoKing must love changing those pumps out, I can just imagine the labor rate ;-) By the time you read this, John ought to have made his delivery, but by description in last video, Baby Blue must be a sight to behold, tooling down the Interstate without a front hrille, as that's one part they couldn't locate & without A/C as that needs fixing too... :-) BOSS likely NOT A HAPPY CAMPER :-)
Good video again good job on the work that shop probably A bout 200 dollars or more to do that job man your boss better appreciate you how mini truck drivers would you see doing that especially in the rain be safe on the road
good job Larry now get on the road catch up to John and do a repair on baby blue love hugs and special prayers for a safe trip where ever you are going
you know if the APU keeps causing trouble and you keep having to fix it pretty soon thermo king will be calling you for advice and you could charge a consulting fee hahahahaha
Amazing what I see you and JBG doing to save the boss money. I noticed JBG offered to pay for his accident yesterday. You either have the best boss in the world, or the worst? I will say it's great to see drivers that care about their company, I think it's rare to see in today's dont give a crap society. Good job man!
Hey, Larry! I see you are doing great getting that poor APU back together. Unfortunately, it works better with diesel.. hahahahahahaha. I would have forgotten too. You are in sad shape now, cause your underoos are soaking wet, and that makes the rest of that special spot feel cold and wet. Hope you got warm and dry after that mess of rain. See the smoke coming out of the APU, and I thought automatically "On Top Of Old Smokey" , the song. 🤣😂😂😂😂😂😁🐸
when you're doing needed repairs outside, it Has to be raining or snowing, or the mosquitoes are trying to carry you away!! or maybe ten below and a 25mph wind! it never fails. ron in Alaska.
Sir Larry !!! "" That's Trucking""" raises its head again for both you & John !! Sure the Bossman is upset & comments don't help the situation any !!!! So ,Will not comment anymore on the bad times as you say "" always tomorrow ""!!! KEEP IT SAFE !!!
I was going to ask you Larry if you have to bleed he fuel pump on the APU like you do on the fuel pump for the engine or are they like the old Cummings pumps that would bleed them selves after 2-3 engine cranks but you answered my question in the video
They design things to be assembled easily, not to repair easily! The book always show how to repair things in a dry, well lit open spaced work area. Never reality!
Thank you man my evolution was working perfectly yesterday and today installed the maintenance kit from TK and the apu didn’t start 😔 I hope the issue was the fuel pump went bad, I need to replace it to how it goes …
I haven't been on the road now about 13 years I run three states polar tank but I didn't realize there was that much problems with them with them systems when I was on the road we didn't have them yet
That looked like a thoroughly pleasant experience. The only thing that would have made it more delightful is if it were about 34 degrees and raining. Kudos for solving another one of the daily problems yourself!
doesn't matter they are supposed to cover the labour to install it its all time at least here in canada it would be covered not sure how it is in the US
Could it be a blocked fuel line? To the pump, thus causing the pumps to fail? But then again Makes Cents changed his out. And used a different pump. Because everyone was having issues with the Thermo king pumps.
well thats just great, let's pay high dollars for a piece of crap fuel pump that might....just might last 90 day's........Hey boss...good thing you got Larry around....................what is that a Ace or Acme pump....or never gonna work pump......
That's right. That shop mechanic is used to working in a nice dry shop and probably knows you can change the pump without removing the panels, but the sacred flat rate book says to remove the panels.
I'm just curious. I've seen you repairing a couple of these fuel pumps on videos. Why don't you mount this frequently replaceable part on the frame of the tractor? Extend the electrical power leads, two more hose clamps. What kind of a problem could that cause?
My Tripac is a 2011 and looks different. After a fuel pump change it starts briefly then stops. Assuming it needs to be primed but cant find the hand priming pump mentioned by others.
Couple of hours is book time, what they charge. Trust me nothing really takes as long, as they charge you labor for. And if they hit a problem, they will just keep charging you time either way.
@@spencers4121 I know that. I had a friend in the auto repair industry. He always stuck 2 or 3 people on large jobs that called for 3-8 hours in the black book. Cranked out those vehicles in 2 at most. He also done the side gig of parts sales at oriellys just to get out of the house. I ordered many parts for that place, and now they have grown from simple alignments with 3 bays to a massive 9 bays and semis. Took many of cars there and even discounts from knowing the guy.
Hi Larry. You are so deadecated to your work. To repair that fuel pump and in the rain, thats awesome....🤗🤗🤗
Good job Larry. A driver + mechanic. Boss should be happy. Safe travels.

Have another great day Larry.
Job well done LongHaul. A little rain never hurt nobody, heck that might even count as a shower hahaha. Safe travels brother.
Congrats on changing the fuel pump, in the rain no less. Enjoyed the mechanics surprised reaction.
Hello Larry

It never seems to fail when you're working on what I working on something outside it seems to just start pouring as soon as I'm about halfway done. At least you got her fixed and she's up and running
Tough luck on the Apu fuel pump but at least you fixed it and got a free shower out of it lol
Good job, you and John seem to have no end of problems with the APUs
John is APU is very old, but you have to remember this is a separate unit that needs maintenance, it is like a reefer unit on a trailer and asked to be taken care of two
You and john need to invent a front end camera

you know if the APU keeps causing trouble and you keep having to fix it pretty soon thermo king will be calling you for advice and you could charge a consulting fee hahahahaha
Mr Boss can't be reached right now, he's dealing with some issues with a certain Freightliner Cascadia..
Seems to me all you needed was laundry soap and you could have done your wash 👍👍
Glad your learning people how to change the filter. You 👍
hi larrry, ole johnny down in the dumps had a boo boo with baby blue. those APU`S are more problems than anything else.
Amazing what I see you and JBG doing to save the boss money. I noticed JBG offered to pay for his accident yesterday. You either have the best boss in the world, or the worst? I will say it's great to see drivers that care about their company, I think it's rare to see in today's dont give a crap society. Good job man!
Surprised that guy didn't offer you a job LOL
Larry. You can keep copies of receipts on iPad so you have them.

Forgot to hook up the fuel lines . . . Haaaaaaaaaaa! I laugh only because that's something I would do. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I can agree with that...happens quite often with me too.

Awesome repair job. Good thing you have such small hands. lol
I was going to ask you Larry if you have to bleed he fuel pump on the APU like you do on the fuel pump for the engine or are they like the old Cummings pumps that would bleed them selves after 2-3 engine cranks but you answered my question in the video

Always the handyman. Good one.👍
Thanks
I used to beat the Chilitons time all the time working on cars. The trick: Read the manual, then do it your way :P
Don’t forget to clean the pre filter screen that’s next to your fuel pump.
If the pump goes again you may want to consider mounting a different electrical pump remote from the unit.
That's the best idea I've heard. If it's a replaceable part, make it accessible.
Hurry up John's tools will rust.
Fuel pump Larry
You came up with a perfect country music song title ( I have Water Running down My Butt Crack) lol
😂👍
There go' the warranty on that pump
The pump will be warrantied but not labor.
An APU wash…. nice lol.
Thank you man my evolution was working perfectly yesterday and today installed the maintenance kit from TK and the apu didn’t start 😔 I hope the issue was the fuel pump went bad, I need to replace it to how it goes …

Up you blew it my turn
Seems APUs are a constant problem.
Your supposed to take the covers off to pad your bill! 😂
🤔 guess I forgot that part😁
That's right. That shop mechanic is used to working in a nice dry shop and probably knows you can change the pump without removing the panels, but the sacred flat rate book says to remove the panels.
they need to be power washed weekly
I'm just curious. I've seen you repairing a couple of these fuel pumps on videos. Why don't you mount this frequently replaceable part on the frame of the tractor? Extend the electrical power leads, two more hose clamps. What kind of a problem could that cause?
Next time 120 liter trashbag , LOL 😎👍✌️😂
My Tripac is a 2011 and looks different. After a fuel pump change it starts briefly then stops. Assuming it needs to be primed but cant find the hand priming pump mentioned by others.
I saw another video that you just keep restarting the apu until all the air is out of the lines.
Thanks for the video.
Any idea if there is a fuel shut off valve?
LOL. Did you get little wet. lol. I hope you dry off. You need a rain coat.
Good job 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Atta boy!!!!
L O L !!!!
Getting a washout for free
Pretty bad when you put a shop to shame LOL.
👍

Mine just started spitting and sputtering until eventually it turns off. Are those the symptoms of a bad fuel pump usually?
Wonder if I can get one on Amazon? How much are they?
MY APU WON'T START UP AFTER WASHING IT. WHAT CAN I DO TO FIX IT? IT TURNS OVER BUT WON'T START
