I love using Shockwave as a mask to remove effects. I know some ppl are overly antagonistic against that particular effect (they're crazy) and I recall a member of the FB group made a sequence *only* using Shockwave one time, as a sort of troll/joke towards those other folks lol
Thank you! As an xLights newbie, I love your content so much! How did you arrange your windows like that? I can move my windows around every which way BUT at the bottom of the Master View and Preview windows like you have it.
I suspect it may be necessary to 'Trim Unused Space' within models to get the effect to be centered to achieve the buffer when set on individual props. It would be interesting if the 'Scale to Buffer' additionally only considered pixels, versus the entire model. I'll have to play around with it and check this out!
I'm not sure that can be done but it is a best practice not to have extra space in any model. The right-click trim unused space takes care of this quickly.
I would have expected that this new feature would then make all other models and groups cycle at the same rate like the tree topper does. Currently the shockwave does one complete cycle on the tree topper, but when applied to the whole house with the new option selected it doesn't complete the effect. I realize to do this it would move faster but it appears this only solves half the issue. Still an improvement though. Also curious if the radius settings are now unaffected (or not used) if this new option is selected?

Absolutely! I wish we had this years ago.

You can select all shockwave (or any effect) effects in your sequence without manually selecting them throughout the sequencer tab?
Yes, but I would be careful doing so. There may be effect where the sequencer purposefully used smaller diameters for the Shockwave effects.

Does this effect make my buffer look big :)
LOL! There is only one way to find out, sir.
