- The wonderful George Boomsma uploaded his cover of this great song a few days ago and I loved it so much that I had to join in! Thanks for letting me add some harmonies George. Make sure you go and check out his original video and his other music.
What a lovely cover of this amazing folk song, guitar, harmonies and connection.
oh joy. to hear a feamle sing this piece reminds me of the first time i heard bonnie raitt do 'angel from montgomery" thanks, folks..
Stunning ❤
I bounce between the Bert Jansch version, Anne Briggs and Sandy Denny’s version as well. This is such a fine interpretation sometimes it’s my favorite version.
That was really lovely, thanks for sharing.
lovely
Katherine, no one on Earth sings as beautifully as you.
I'm endlessly amazed at how perfect your voices meld 😍
Wonderful arrangement!
What a fabulous arrangement of one of my all-time favourite Jansch tunes that I first heard from him in Pentangle. Wow, that is a long time ago.... 😳
So Beautiful... wow. The harmony is perfect...
Words cant do justice to how good this is!
Just stunningly, flawlessly beautiful.
That was quite lovely.
Truly lovely.
This is the video that made me come to my first gig of yours :) Still love this vid, and the concert last night was brilliant :) x
sounds good , really good , the voices are perfect and this guitar is so cool , enjoyed it very much !
Gorgeous!
You are sounding great from Japan!
Wonderful rendition. Why omit the last verse? I like it because the subject is less naive and more accepting this way, but just wondering your thought process.
Because this is based on Bert Jansch's version which doesn't have the last verse used on versions like Anne Briggs 😊 so pleased you like it, thank you!
I still think of the gig at Vicar street last year, i thought it was the best music id heard in ages, i was too shy to say hi after the gig for the cd signings ha.
Is this Heaven?
Wow!
awed!
Wow KP! Great progression keep it up!
very good dreamy version
hurrah for the internet.
Just a reminder--noting the Jansch version of this folk song (in the title line) can lead people to think he wrote it. It's a traditional, provenance unknown.
Yes we know :) this is inspired by Bert Jansch's arrangement, so he deserves some credit I reckon!
@@KatherinePriddyOfficial Yes, very good!
@@KatherinePriddyOfficialfrom what I can gather, it’s an Irish song and Anne Briggs showed it to Bert Jansch. The folk revivalism owes a lot to her - she also taught Hills of Greenmore (Irish too) to Terry Woods while he was in Sweeney’s Men and he brought it to the first Steeleye Span record.
skitterend
Très belle harmonie vocale , Katherine est sublime mais la guitare pesante manque de sensibilité et brise le rêve . Dommage !
