When the woman I loved decided to part I tried to reconcile sending her this song, hoping she would understand how It matched with how I feeled. Unfortunately, I did not succeed.
I do really like: - the fact the nick Drake songs are spreaded around - that musicians finds ways express themselves in this time that does not help the best way to express live arts (music, theatre, dance any many other forms) - the very good and consistent performance that you delivered - the fact that you chossed Northern Sky within Nick Drake's songbook What I do not like the best: - Northern Sky is a strong song and should be delivered in a strong way. Maybe "strong" is not the best word but, please, relisten to Nick's deliver... sure his voice is soft... but merry, following the richness of the music! I do respect the fact that we are unique and different, I respect and appreciate what zou have delivered, but, do not get me wrong, I really wish you will do a much more 'merryful' version of this song, I would really appreciate if you can consider it... it should not be very different from what you did, but if you are going to consider a rework,please, just relisten to the original and mostly to this words: Would you love me through the winter? Would you love me 'til I'm dead? Oh, if you would and you could Come blow your horn on high Please, love him also after is death: come blow your horn on HIGH! take care! with love
Dude was born in the wrong era..his song writting and particularly his guitar work has had tremendous influence on me, too bad I only came across his music when I was in my 30s..apparently im not the only one...absolutely a shame he did not recieve proper recognition when he was alive!!
