- I raced my Demon 170 for the first time and found out what makes this car so incredible. The car has a steep learning curve and launches so hard that it hurts. I show you several features of the Demon 170 to include how use the advanced trans brake and how the car uses torque reserve to send the car into a 30-foot wheelie and get you to 60 mph in 1.6 seconds.

Glad to see you covering the specifics in this. Torque reserve needs a deep dive (show off the boost guage for example and how various rpm’s build different boost). The amount of tech and fine tuning available in the 170 is mind blowing. Everyone is going to talk plaid vs but the car stands on its own imho and has a ton of stuff worth deep diving. Great video!!

I’ve not been on a drag strip in decades. Like 40 years ago in 1973 with my Cuda doing some bracket racing. As I recall, I was running high 14s on the Polyglass Factory Tires with the Slap Stick Console Auto Shifter.

Hoping to soon hear from my local dealer I’m getting a ZO6 allocation! Then I’ll see if I can get a good 0 to 60 time. The Stingray is good on paper for under 3 seconds and the ZO6 is hopefully good for 2.5 or maybe better?
I was thinking about getting an Eray, but the ZO6 will have more resale potential in future years for the wife if I’m not around.

I had a 1968 gtx as my 1st car and I thought it was bad ass but dam who knew they would make cars this bad ass back in those days . I am a huge 4x4 guy now and who knew back in the day that we could climb rock like we do today . what will be out there in another 40 yrs

Very rad! Wish I was younger to enjoy this new generation of Mopar madness. I started racing Mopar Super Stock cars in the early 70s. Even held a few National Records. Good luck with your car. I currently own a 71DEMON 340 4-speed with 14,400 original miles. My pride and joy.

Congratulations bad ass machine man. You're not kidding about them tires on even damp asphalt.I had them on a 800 wheel hp gt500 just letting off the gas pedal engine slowing itself to stop my rear tires were sliding half off road before I knew it.Had auto Th400 must have had extra drag.

Congrats on getting the 170 in fair fashion, man! Consider PPF for fenders and front/rear bumpers; will help mitigate road/track debris paint damage. Q: where do you get OEM torque specs for reinstalling seats and seat belt assemblies? Hope you’re enjoying the holidays, and that your mom is doing better (and also enjoying the festive season as much as she’s able). Many well wishes for her.

I wonder how adjustable the suspension is? Wheelies are great but that is lost forward momentum. My guess is the best runs will involve very little to no wheelieing. Its just getting everything perfectly dialed in to you and the track conditions. You can also experiment with tire height if its in your budget. From what I am seeing an inch or two of tire height would pay off.
I played with the transbrake in my 1320 a few times. You need to develope muscle memory so you can go through the steps quickly consistantly. It is a fun feature for sure. Looking forward to more Demon content. Sure wish I could get one. I traded my 1320 in for a Ram Rebel in November. Just needed a truck more that a toy at this point. But sure loved it while I had it.
You didn't really trade a '1320' for a Rebel did you????? Was going to update from a 2004 Rumblebee to a 2020 Ram Rebel but they wanted $52k for 40k mile Rebel & then I snagged a 2021 '1320' with 7000 mi for $49k I wouldn't trade my '1320' for no Rebel. I'll stick to the Rumblebee for 4x4 needs. Sorry you traded such a fun car for a mediocre truck

@@jeffrey501green I looked at regular Rams & Rebels as well as F150s (couldn't pay me to own a new Chevy) and honestly I wasn't overly impressed by the Rebel vs the other trucks.
@@jeffrey501green but then I'm near 20 years on an 04 Ram Rumblebee & 5 months in on a '1320' scat. So I guess it takes over the top to impress me. I just didn't see what the Rebel offered over the reg Ram or an equally equipped F150. A few graphics touches??

My little 2012 Mustang GT only ran an 8.90 in the quarter. Straight E85. Actually tested E87. Guess I need a larger engine. The little 5 liter needs some help. VMP blower.

After my 2018 Mustang GT that was cammed with long tube headers got totaled, I haven't had anything really fast ever since. I really want to go fast again, but unfortunately the fastest car I have (my 2023 F150 5.0 RCSB) is under warranty and I don't want to modify it, and I have to wait until I Coyote swap my 2005 Mustang GT so I can actually go fast again.
My 2006 Chrysler 300C 5.7 (very modified) is quick, but I'm a Mustang guy, and I need to sell it so I can fund my other project.

Did doge ever consider a Rear Strut tower Brace? This for stability? I ask after seeing the rear of your car with it lightened.
