I never really looked into Azura that much. I just kinda ignored her supports because I kinda Saw her as a plot device. Thanks for helping me find a new appreciation for the character.
Honestly I'd say the best supports are the ones that involve characters that are strong interesting characters before you pair them up. Even if they're a generic trope if their life and development have been thought out enough it will show in the writing and make them stand out (Charlotte and Henry being a couple I like).
You're not just stating the obvious; you're also looking at the writing itself and how it relates to the theme of the conversation. So... I like the vid. Very organized, and just a good analysis overall. Keep it up...

I agree with Kaden. He's just so fun and social. Heck, even I'm swayed by his friendly personality, trying to get along with everyone and has the natural skill of making people happy. So for someone as "lowkey" as Azura, the way she acts around him makes her almost as fun, like his personality is rubbing off of her (what's more adorable than being unable to resist a fox's fur?). Too bad we didn't get enough from Kaden story wise.

Despite Conquest Corrin being the acceptable target of criticism when it comes to characterization, my favorite support in the game is actually the Conquest Azura and Corrin support. I personally found it to be incredibly interesting, as it adds a lot to Corrin's character. It's a very stark contrast to Corrin's normal optimism to see him/her nearly allow him/herself to be killed due to the intense guilt that he/she feels for siding with Nohr, the very obvious aggressors. Azura is also interesting in this, as, due to the nature of the support, she can't be cool and aloof. Seeing Azura passionately claim that she would literally be willing to go to hell with Corrin just so that Corrin wouldn't have to suffer alone is incredibly heartwarming. It works well to reinforce their friendship/romance and all in all leads to a all around great support.
The support conversations are clearly written by a different team of writers than the story writers. The plot isn't nearly as well constructed as any of the good supports are in Fates. I've read quite a few of them, and the quality is night and day. Like Azura for me is just horrendous in the plot but in the supports she's okay. Not my cup of tea, but I don't hate her in the supports. I hate her in the plot. As for my favorite supports with Azura, well Sakura and Hinoka were my favorites as well, but I'd actually say that Jakob's is pretty solid with her as well. It actually has her reflect on things she took for granted, and Jakob is thankful for the fact that she made him realize something he never thought about. I kind of like Keaton's support with Azura for the same reason you like Kaden's, because Azura actually becomes flustered in the other way for it, and when she finally realizes that Keaton said those things to make her more emotional, she found it really funny. You even get to see Azura make a bit of a joke in the S support by asking Keaton "Did I sound terrible?" The rest of them I find just okay overall but nothing special. I feel that there's a large amount of time spent between A to S by how lively Azura is in her S support comparatively. PS: "Whet her intrigue?" Is THAT the phrase people are using now? :P PSS: I'm waiting for that Corrin one. Just because it'll actually force you to say something you like about Corrin... 5 times. Haha.
I think best support still goes to Laslow. They're chemistry is just too perfect. As important, Laslow's support sticks with Azura's own character, with a couple twists. With Kaden's support, it's a completely different Azura, which is fine, but it also feels like Azura's own character is not the best if her best support is when she's acting completely different.
the Laslow/Azura support is really my favorite one due to how much the characters actually lean on each other in their relationship. And it explores more on his own feelings of inadequacy, Inigo never became a dancer because he felt he could never be as good as Olivia was, so seeing him get proper support from Azura does leagues for developing his character. Plus i find the S-support kinda sad, since even though Laslow's canonical father is most likely Chrom making Laslow an Ylissean prince, he still doesn't feel like he can be with Azura since she's a princess.
C Rank Support between Beruka and Saizo. I love it, it's so simple but you can actually tell a fair bit about how these two character types interact with each other. Plus it gave me a good giggle In retrospect, analysing Beruka could be really interesting. Most of the conversations with her (at least, the ones I read) usually involved her learning about basic human emotions from other people, like how to simply relax or have fun. Y'know, alien concepts to a robotic assassin until now :P
In the japanese version, they discuss the subtle nuances of killing people. In the english version, they have a mime contest. And I think Saizo lost. Maybe.
What makes Beruka so interesting as a character is how she deals with emotions. It's not as though she is incapable of feeling emotion, but rather that she doesn't understand what the emotions she feels mean, and this is best exemplified in her supports with Odin and Selena. In the former, she asks him to help her to feel emotions because she doesn't understand them and wants to be able to feel them, since as an assassin, she had to suppress them so they wouldn't interfere with her mission, thus making it hard for her to process these feelings. In the latter, Selena takes Beruka shopping in hopes of befriending her, and the 2 wind up buying a matching pair of bracelets (if I'm not mistaken). Selena then goes on to say that she might one day have to leave and return home, to which Beruka responds that she'd not want to wear her bracelet anymore because it'd feel lonely without Selena being around, indicating that she would have come to associate it with her friendship she forged with Selena. Her supports with Camilla are also quite interesting: in them, Camilla seems to think that Beruka views her as being little more than her master, and a means of getting money to live off of; as a result, she asks Beruka if she'd turn on her and accept a new master if that person payed her more than she's getting from Camilla. Beruka at first tells her that this would be incentive to get her to switch sides, but in a later support reveals that she'd have to feel like she could also trust that person more so than she can Camilla, and in doing so, she also reveals that she doesn't think she'd be able to find another person more trustworthy in her eyes than Camilla. This also ultimately puts to rest what Beruka had said in a few other support conversations about killing those people if she was given the order to do so, I don't think she would carry out her task because Camilla wouldn't allow it.
Thank you so much for this. Azura x Kaden is my absolute favorite support for her and all my friends shame me for marrying her to "that furry dude". Also, Selkie is, in my opinion, one of very few children that can inherit Azura's blue hair and have it look good on her. Having Azura as her mom would also explain where Selkie got her golden eyes from.
A foil is anything that serves as an amplifier or as a contrast another character so that it becomes very clear to the reader what kind of character that person is. For example, the villain of the antagonist is a foil, but the best friend of an outgoing, carefree person who is fun-loving is also a foil, A lot of English classes, especially at lower levels, tell you that a foil is the villain because it's easier to understand that way. Fates left a bad taste in my mouth and I didn't bother with a lot in the game. Definitely nice to hear some of these more thought out supports, and know that not all of them were half-assed; "Hey wanna bang?" scenarios. Look forward to more.

I know i'm late, but my favourite support is with Keaton. Azura, as an introvert, strugle with expressing her emotions. Keaton, being the goofy extrovert and open book, teach her to express her feelings, in a way i find really cute and adorable.
This just shows IS still has it despite Fates being extremely flawed. Here's hoping there are more amazing supports like these in FE15. Also great video as always Ghast and I Eagerly await the next one.
Honestly I just finished revelations and I'm finding that azura is really not given as much love as she deserves. I think the fact that my first exposure to fef was her dance scenes in birthright and conquest helps, but she's my favourite character in the whole game. I can see how she comes off as flat aside from the occasional support, but I really love just about everything about her. Her complete selflessness and the way it was portrayed especially in birthright makes me sympathize so much with her, just how far she's willing to go to help her comrades despite being hated by many hoshidans (including being the target of suspicion from people even in the army), her passion for singing and her grace, the sad story to her past and how it's shaped her into the person she is today, and her soft kind but flawed personality.
Laslow is easily my favourite support as I personally think it's the one that would occur most naturally based on their characters and how the develop. I also think it that laslow makes the most sense as the father with his support conversation with shigure.
I’m late to the party, but I was instantly drawn to the Azura/Kaden pairing. It was such a natural evolution and just humanized (for lack of a better word) both characters.
Wow, it's pretty surprising seeing you put out this video Ghast. That said, great job; it was well thought out, engaging, and entertaining. You are right in saying that the supports are one of the most important things in FE, and so although there are still a good number of not so great supports in fates, I always look forward to reading more (and they are almost golden compared to the plot). I can't wait until your next video and what supports you'll pick out for Camilla. Keep making great content and doing what you like. Side note: that's an amazing goofy face on the thumbnail. I mean that genuinely, you look so happy.
I love your articulate and perceptive breakdown of these supports. I 100% agree on all of these, though I personally feel you missed the chance here to highlight Arthur/Azura. It's a touching, well-written support that flatters them both -- especially Arthur, who gets very few serious support convos. All the same, this was a pleasure to watch!
Personally I like azura and soleils' supports (with azura as her mom) In there C support Soleil hops in while Azura is sharpening weapons and comments on how pretty she looks saying she looks the "perfect mother azura flustered and needing to finish more chores leaves. I like the chemistry here as (drawing my own conclusions) soleil sees azura as a role model "perfect" and compliments her mom. Azura is confused as shes just doing chores, but specifically I think the wording perfect flusters her, as she probably thinks of mikoto as the perfect mother and azura doesn't see herself near mikotos level i'd say what I like about the other supports but I have a cold and I need to get to bed.:P
I love this!! I hope it stays a regular series. I love supports that flesh out characters that otherwise seem boring at first glance. I had that reaction to Libra when I read through his supports (especially his supports with Nowi)
I have had Fates since it came out and started reluctantly playing it this week, so great timing on these videos. I agree that supports are hugely important to Fire Emblem! It was nice to hear your opinions on them and to see that there are still some shimmers of hope with 3DS FE conversations. Wouldn't mind seeing more of these at all. Was easy to watch through.
Inigo/Laslow's "You're a princess, and I am nothing!" gets more emotional if you think of him as Chrom's son and therefore a prince but of course no one can know that... agh! Also I agree Azura's supports with Sakura and Hinoka are so great, I love those three
Honestly I haven't played the game myself, but I've looked into several of the supports and I have to say for me, it'll always be Corrin (male) and Azura. My reasoning is because she always seems to undeniably be dedicated to helping Corrin no matter what and staying by his side. The stories Birthright, Revelation, and Conquest clearly shows that she wants to be by his side no matter who his enemies are. Birthright especially is a heart-wrencher for me in which it seems she cares so much more for Corrin than herself when she's on the brink of death in Nohr while fighting King Garon. In some of their support conversations, I like it when they interact because sometimes it feels authentic; like at times there's awkwardness like when Corrin accidently saw Azura bathing, defining moments when assassins from Hoshido come to kill Corrin and Azura is trying to help him come to terms with his decision, or conversations in which they share relatively similar pasts or traits. Overall, these two seem to do well in defining one another more so than others in which it seems very fluid. They may be the main characters and obviously meant to be or whatever someone might say, but I'm entitled to my opinion and I can share it if I want.
This was great Ghast. Well thought out reasoning and inference, a lot of it I never picked up myself. I'd love to see some more characters, Fates or not, examined to this extent!
I would definitely love to see more Support analysis. With Kaden's being the best example, tgiws helps me to appreciate seemingly simple conversations much more.

I really liked this video a lot! It is so well constructed and interesting to see someone else's opinions on support conversations. Personally, my favorite would have to be Kaze's support because we not only see a different part of Azura, with her crying and caring about her nana, but also we see in her S-support she initiates the confession where she admits to Kaze that she is in love with him. I can't wait to see more of these videos. Keep up the good work!!

Kaden is definitely one of my favs- a ton of his supports, including with Azura, are amazing. Definitely one of my favorite pairings, and he's an amazing candidate to keep Azura safe in fights so she can in turn support him with her dancing!
I always (90% or so by accident) pair her up with Subaki because all he does is just protect her from traitors. His perfection isn't being tested for pride (like normal). He wants to solve the mystery of why they're after her and doesn't see why they'd want her dead. He's not just doing this because he's a royal's retainer. I also like Caeldori's stat growths with this pairing.
Your comment about Azura's behaviour towards her siblings when compared to other people is certainly interesting. This is more or less why two of my favourite Azura supports are Sakura and Takumi. For here we see Azura represent two different aspects of being a big sister. Towards Sakura she displays the teasing aspect, telling scary stories and teasing her for beign scared and embarassed, while keeping all thigns in good fun. With Takumi we see Azura display a bit of a motherly side, being doting and worried even though Takumi tries to act distant. It's really sweet seeing Azura being a real 'big sister' at times.
Kaden Azura seems like they have been dating since their B support, it really makes the A and S support come off very natural especially in Azuras Case, In her S supports shes often hesitant with an answer or comes of with some cryptic way of saying "Yeah lets get married" It feels like a breath of fresh air.
My favorite was her with Ryoma, because I liked his shyness and how it fit so well with the scene where Azura was singing Corrin down from his/her dragon rage. Like, my first thought was that Ryouma literally shit himself from the look on his face. But I really like the perspective from Kaden and I agree that it's really an adorable ship.
You know I started watching this right after it came out and just finished it because yt recommended and I gotta say, I was taken aback by the Kaden placement, because to me it felt like a very ridiculous support but your argument has definitely swayed me
Here’s my top 5 Azura Supports: 5:Subaki because I like how Subaki is like a a knight in shining armor even though he is Sakura’s Retainer. Also I like having Caeldori and Shigure as siblings(but only in my birthright playthourgh) 4:Sakura so cute 3:Kaden mostly because I can relate to Azura because I LOVE FLUFFY FOXES! 2:Kaze One of the sweetest Supports plus we can see a more emotional side of Azura in their B-Support. This is also my 2nd favorite pairing for Kaze #1 being Female Corrin. 1:Laslow My favorite pairing in Fates(I ship them in Conquest and Revelations) plus it’s my 2nd favorite Support in fates #1 being Kaze & Xander
A support that I really enjoyed was Azura and Niles. It starts with Niles coming up to Azura, which is surprising her since he is famous for his sharp tongue. After that, Niles is comparing them and saying they are like porcupines. They keep people at distance and don't go too close because they would hurt someone with their needles. In A, they talk about the things other people tend to talk about and do it theirselves by having a chat about the weather. And their S-Support is heartwarming and isn't just "Hey let's bang". Every support they have is well written and fleshed out. I recommend reading them if you haven't. (Honestly I'm surprised this ship isn't very popular because it's a pretty good one.)
Yes, someone who also thinks that Azura and Kaden's supports were really good too! I wouldn't say it is my favorite support (honestly, I would switch places between Laslow and Kaden's supports with her), but it still makes me happy to see that someone also thinks that. I would say i also enjoyed Azura's supports with Elise, mostly because it is all about Elise trying to form a sisterly bond with her like the one she has with Sakura and it is really sweet. Also, am I the only one who's really annoyed that she has no supports with Camilla?

I basically agree with everything you said here, that's kinda excluding hers with Saizo. The point you made was valid, but it kinda just tossed their batch aside as if the entire set was bad which would probably discourage people from reading them... Personally, I found their supports very enjoyable, and made Saizo a... little more likable to me as a character then before. A con for me was the (innocent? yet) sexist statements Saizo (even though it adds to his character). Also I find these supports very reminiscent of Lon'qu in a way, and also remind me of a fan support I created between Lon'qu and Sumia? I feel like what Azura does for Saizo in their B is certainly a scene that'd occur between Lon'qu and Lissa, at least. I know you mentioned Camilla but I'd definitely be interested in seeing one on Sakura! I haven't seen _all_ her supports but I feel like they're the most solid batch so far. Everything I've gotten with her has been endearing and there's been literally no disappointment on my end at least, so to see someone else dissect her supports like this would be really cool and helpful! Either way, I look forward to the next video. Totally inspired me to draw some Lazura now..!
Actually when I think about it maybe Saizo's Support with Azura is one of HIS best supports but not one of HER best supports, if that makes sense, Saizo shows his inner self but Azura is just being the simple self she is that makes him show more about himself.

C Rank Support between Beruka and Saizo. I love it, it's so simple but you can actually tell a fair bit about how these two character types interact with each other. Plus it gave me a good giggle
In retrospect, analysing Beruka could be really interesting. Most of the conversations with her (at least, the ones I read) usually involved her learning about basic human emotions from other people, like how to simply relax or have fun. Y'know, alien concepts to a robotic assassin until now :P

What makes Beruka so interesting as a character is how she deals with emotions. It's not as though she is incapable of feeling emotion, but rather that she doesn't understand what the emotions she feels mean, and this is best exemplified in her supports with Odin and Selena. In the former, she asks him to help her to feel emotions because she doesn't understand them and wants to be able to feel them, since as an assassin, she had to suppress them so they wouldn't interfere with her mission, thus making it hard for her to process these feelings. In the latter, Selena takes Beruka shopping in hopes of befriending her, and the 2 wind up buying a matching pair of bracelets (if I'm not mistaken). Selena then goes on to say that she might one day have to leave and return home, to which Beruka responds that she'd not want to wear her bracelet anymore because it'd feel lonely without Selena being around, indicating that she would have come to associate it with her friendship she forged with Selena. Her supports with Camilla are also quite interesting: in them, Camilla seems to think that Beruka views her as being little more than her master, and a means of getting money to live off of; as a result, she asks Beruka if she'd turn on her and accept a new master if that person payed her more than she's getting from Camilla. Beruka at first tells her that this would be incentive to get her to switch sides, but in a later support reveals that she'd have to feel like she could also trust that person more so than she can Camilla, and in doing so, she also reveals that she doesn't think she'd be able to find another person more trustworthy in her eyes than Camilla. This also ultimately puts to rest what Beruka had said in a few other support conversations about killing those people if she was given the order to do so, I don't think she would carry out her task because Camilla wouldn't allow it.

Also, Selkie is, in my opinion, one of very few children that can inherit Azura's blue hair and have it look good on her. Having Azura as her mom would also explain where Selkie got her golden eyes from.

I believe that wall climbing is known as a foil, a character that is used to build another character.
A foil is usually more so of an opposite to the character, or at least that's how I learned it and have heard it been used...
A foil is anything that serves as an amplifier or as a contrast another character so that it becomes very clear to the reader what kind of character that person is. For example, the villain of the antagonist is a foil, but the best friend of an outgoing, carefree person who is fun-loving is also a foil, A lot of English classes, especially at lower levels, tell you that a foil is the villain because it's easier to understand that way.

Agreed, though we do get to see her learn to treat people a little less like children since that didn't work with Takumi or the actual child.
I know i'm late, but my favourite support is with Keaton. Azura, as an introvert, strugle with expressing her emotions. Keaton, being the goofy extrovert and open book, teach her to express her feelings, in a way i find really cute and adorable.
I like them too! They were a great example of opposites attract. Their support was flat out hilarious but also adorable.
This just shows IS still has it despite Fates being extremely flawed. Here's hoping there are more amazing supports like these in FE15. Also great video as always Ghast and I Eagerly await the next one.
Honestly I just finished revelations and I'm finding that azura is really not given as much love as she deserves. I think the fact that my first exposure to fef was her dance scenes in birthright and conquest helps, but she's my favourite character in the whole game. I can see how she comes off as flat aside from the occasional support, but I really love just about everything about her. Her complete selflessness and the way it was portrayed especially in birthright makes me sympathize so much with her, just how far she's willing to go to help her comrades despite being hated by many hoshidans (including being the target of suspicion from people even in the army), her passion for singing and her grace, the sad story to her past and how it's shaped her into the person she is today, and her soft kind but flawed personality.

Laslow is easily my favourite support as I personally think it's the one that would occur most naturally based on their characters and how the develop. I also think it that laslow makes the most sense as the father with his support conversation with shigure.
I’m late to the party, but I was instantly drawn to the Azura/Kaden pairing. It was such a natural evolution and just humanized (for lack of a better word) both characters.

Wow, it's pretty surprising seeing you put out this video Ghast. That said, great job; it was well thought out, engaging, and entertaining. You are right in saying that the supports are one of the most important things in FE, and so although there are still a good number of not so great supports in fates, I always look forward to reading more (and they are almost golden compared to the plot).
I can't wait until your next video and what supports you'll pick out for Camilla. Keep making great content and doing what you like.

I love your articulate and perceptive breakdown of these supports. I 100% agree on all of these, though I personally feel you missed the chance here to highlight Arthur/Azura. It's a touching, well-written support that flatters them both -- especially Arthur, who gets very few serious support convos. All the same, this was a pleasure to watch!
Personally I like azura and soleils' supports (with azura as her mom)
In there C support Soleil hops in while Azura is sharpening weapons and comments on how pretty she looks saying she looks the "perfect mother azura flustered and needing to finish more chores leaves. I like the chemistry here as (drawing my own conclusions) soleil sees azura as a role model "perfect" and compliments her mom. Azura is confused as shes just doing chores, but specifically I think the wording perfect flusters her, as she probably thinks of mikoto as the perfect mother and azura doesn't see herself near mikotos level i'd say what I like about the other supports but I have a cold and I need to get to bed.:P
I love this!! I hope it stays a regular series. I love supports that flesh out characters that otherwise seem boring at first glance. I had that reaction to Libra when I read through his supports (especially his supports with Nowi)
I have had Fates since it came out and started reluctantly playing it this week, so great timing on these videos. I agree that supports are hugely important to Fire Emblem! It was nice to hear your opinions on them and to see that there are still some shimmers of hope with 3DS FE conversations. Wouldn't mind seeing more of these at all. Was easy to watch through.
Inigo/Laslow's "You're a princess, and I am nothing!" gets more emotional if you think of him as Chrom's son and therefore a prince but of course no one can know that... agh!

Honestly I haven't played the game myself, but I've looked into several of the supports and I have to say for me, it'll always be Corrin (male) and Azura. My reasoning is because she always seems to undeniably be dedicated to helping Corrin no matter what and staying by his side.
The stories Birthright, Revelation, and Conquest clearly shows that she wants to be by his side no matter who his enemies are. Birthright especially is a heart-wrencher for me in which it seems she cares so much more for Corrin than herself when she's on the brink of death in Nohr while fighting King Garon. In some of their support conversations, I like it when they interact because sometimes it feels authentic; like at times there's awkwardness like when Corrin accidently saw Azura bathing, defining moments when assassins from Hoshido come to kill Corrin and Azura is trying to help him come to terms with his decision, or conversations in which they share relatively similar pasts or traits. Overall, these two seem to do well in defining one another more so than others in which it seems very fluid.
They may be the main characters and obviously meant to be or whatever someone might say, but I'm entitled to my opinion and I can share it if I want.
This was great Ghast. Well thought out reasoning and inference, a lot of it I never picked up myself. I'd love to see some more characters, Fates or not, examined to this extent!
I would definitely love to see more Support analysis. With Kaden's being the best example, tgiws helps me to appreciate seemingly simple conversations much more.

I really liked this video a lot! It is so well constructed and interesting to see someone else's opinions on support conversations. Personally, my favorite would have to be Kaze's support because we not only see a different part of Azura, with her crying and caring about her nana, but also we see in her S-support she initiates the confession where she admits to Kaze that she is in love with him. I can't wait to see more of these videos. Keep up the good work!!

Kaden is definitely one of my favs- a ton of his supports, including with Azura, are amazing. Definitely one of my favorite pairings, and he's an amazing candidate to keep Azura safe in fights so she can in turn support him with her dancing!
I always (90% or so by accident) pair her up with Subaki because all he does is just protect her from traitors. His perfection isn't being tested for pride (like normal). He wants to solve the mystery of why they're after her and doesn't see why they'd want her dead. He's not just doing this because he's a royal's retainer. I also like Caeldori's stat growths with this pairing.

Your comment about Azura's behaviour towards her siblings when compared to other people is certainly interesting. This is more or less why two of my favourite Azura supports are Sakura and Takumi. For here we see Azura represent two different aspects of being a big sister. Towards Sakura she displays the teasing aspect, telling scary stories and teasing her for beign scared and embarassed, while keeping all thigns in good fun. With Takumi we see Azura display a bit of a motherly side, being doting and worried even though Takumi tries to act distant. It's really sweet seeing Azura being a real 'big sister' at times.
Kaden often just seems to mesh fairly well with anyone he talks to. I personally like his support with Hinoka.
Kaden Azura seems like they have been dating since their B support, it really makes the A and S support come off very natural especially in Azuras Case, In her S supports shes often hesitant with an answer or comes of with some cryptic way of saying "Yeah lets get married"

Last time I was this early, RUclips wasn't broken and Ghast wasn't ignoring me after inviting me.
My favorite was her with Ryoma, because I liked his shyness and how it fit so well with the scene where Azura was singing Corrin down from his/her dragon rage. Like, my first thought was that Ryouma literally shit himself from the look on his face. But I really like the perspective from Kaden and I agree that it's really an adorable ship.
You know I started watching this right after it came out and just finished it because yt recommended and I gotta say, I was taken aback by the Kaden placement, because to me it felt like a very ridiculous support but your argument has definitely swayed me

5:Subaki because I like how Subaki is like a a knight in shining armor even though he is Sakura’s Retainer. Also I like having Caeldori and Shigure as siblings(but only in my birthright playthourgh)

3:Kaden mostly because I can relate to Azura because I LOVE FLUFFY FOXES!
2:Kaze One of the sweetest Supports plus we can see a more emotional side of Azura in their B-Support. This is also my 2nd favorite pairing for Kaze #1 being Female Corrin.
1:Laslow My favorite pairing in Fates(I ship them in Conquest and Revelations) plus it’s my 2nd favorite Support in fates #1 being Kaze & Xander
A support that I really enjoyed was Azura and Niles. It starts with Niles coming up to Azura, which is surprising her since he is famous for his sharp tongue. After that, Niles is comparing them and saying they are like porcupines. They keep people at distance and don't go too close because they would hurt someone with their needles. In A, they talk about the things other people tend to talk about and do it theirselves by having a chat about the weather. And their S-Support is heartwarming and isn't just "Hey let's bang". Every support they have is well written and fleshed out. I recommend reading them if you haven't. (Honestly I'm surprised this ship isn't very popular because it's a pretty good one.)

Yes, someone who also thinks that Azura and Kaden's supports were really good too! I wouldn't say it is my favorite support (honestly, I would switch places between Laslow and Kaden's supports with her), but it still makes me happy to see that someone also thinks that. I would say i also enjoyed Azura's supports with Elise, mostly because it is all about Elise trying to form a sisterly bond with her like the one she has with Sakura and it is really sweet. Also, am I the only one who's really annoyed that she has no supports with Camilla?

I basically agree with everything you said here, that's kinda excluding hers with Saizo. The point you made was valid, but it kinda just tossed their batch aside as if the entire set was bad which would probably discourage people from reading them... Personally, I found their supports very enjoyable, and made Saizo a... little more likable to me as a character then before. A con for me was the (innocent? yet) sexist statements Saizo (even though it adds to his character).
Also I find these supports very reminiscent of Lon'qu in a way, and also remind me of a fan support I created between Lon'qu and Sumia? I feel like what Azura does for Saizo in their B is certainly a scene that'd occur between Lon'qu and Lissa, at least.
I know you mentioned Camilla but I'd definitely be interested in seeing one on Sakura! I haven't seen _all_ her supports but I feel like they're the most solid batch so far. Everything I've gotten with her has been endearing and there's been literally no disappointment on my end at least, so to see someone else dissect her supports like this would be really cool and helpful!
Either way, I look forward to the next video. Totally inspired me to draw some Lazura now..!
Actually when I think about it maybe Saizo's Support with Azura is one of HIS best supports but not one of HER best supports, if that makes sense, Saizo shows his inner self but Azura is just being the simple self she is that makes him show more about himself.
