  • How to edit in Webflow for clients ( is it ACTUALLY easy?)
    Listen up webflow clients. If you're looking to hire a professional web designer to build your new site in Webflow, you might be wondering what the editing experience ACTUALLY looks like. This webflow editor tutorial video gives a behind-the-scenes look at one of my client's Webflow sites and what it looks like to use the Webflow content editor, content management system, and creating new layouts in the Designer so she can have as much control as possible over her website.
    I'm going through the Editor and the Designer in Webflow with exact breakdowns of what you can edit and what you can't as a client with a beginner knowledge of Webflow. This will help you to understand what parts of your website you can DIY vs what parts are best to continue working with your designer, and figuring out if this method is right for you.
    I'll also share a few of my personal techniques to make client editing in webflow easier, especially inside the Designer panel so that a custom website no longer means a loss of editability & flexibility.
    This video is not only informative for clients looking to switch platforms, but for web designers that want to know what the client experience may look like after finishing a site.
    Is Webflow easy to learn? Is Webflow worth it for me? How much of my site can I edit. By the end of this video you'll have the answer to all of these questions and be one step closer to building the custom website of your dreams.

    Amazing content and production! I just started taking RUclips seriously not too long ago and to see other designers and educators doing amazing stuff in the same niche is really cool. Also! The editor and thinking about the end users of our work matters a ton. So happy to see content like this. We’ve been focusing a lot on making cool animations and interactions and whatever is trending while potentially making our clients lives harder because they can’t edit the site easily 😑. Need more of this and can’t wait to watch this channel grow! 🎉

      Miles thanks a million for the thoughtful comment. Its nice to know I'm not the only one that wants to explore the client-side topic more because I totally agree, in the end, that's the most important piece. Really loved your video/take on Webflow's new updates as well!

    Hii, I'm currently learning about webflow and building sites, and I would be really curious about how does the work look like as a self employed webdesigner. like EVERY SINGLE small step, how to find customers, what do you do on the meetings, what exactly do you do, how long does it take and afterwards? So curious about everythinggg, how it works into detail🥰

    Hi, Maddie... thank you, thank you, thank you for this video. I'm interested in switching to Webflow but giving the client access to make adjustments or work on their blog has been a mystery to me. Thanks for clearing this up! Also really looking forward to your client workflow video coming up.

    Hey Maddie!
    I'm interested in knowing about your experience with webflow. When did you begin using it, how much time did it take for you to become proficient in the platform, and most importantly, where do you find your clients?

    Nice video! So with webflow do you design under your own account and have to manage the sites or do said clients have their own separate account and you move the design to it?

    • @studiomadz
      @studiomadz  10 месяцев назад +5

      I design them in my own account first, then when the project is complete I transfer to my clients. Will be doing a video on my exact client process soon!

    Heyy Maddie, is the editor mode available even with Basic Site plan? As I see in the video your site is on Starter Site plan so the Editor mode with my understanding should not work. Can you clear this for me? Thank you.

      Great question! Not gonna lie Webflow can get a bit confusing with this. Assuming I'm understanding your question correctly... your client will have access to the Designer & The Editor no matter what plan they purchase. However, if they want to invite additional team members as 'collaborators' to also use the Editor, they would need at least a CMS site plan. This is what 90% of my clients have since there's almost always some CMS components when I'm building.
      However, if you want full editing access on behalf of your client (not as an additional collaborator) you can be added as a 'guest' to their site. This means you each have your own separate Webflow accounts and you can hop into theirs for free to support with changes.
      Hope that makes sense! If not, feel free to DM me on Instagram for more clarity.
