- Next to our offroad 1992 Toyota Previa minivan, this 1974 Volvo 142 is our 2nd $1 car but needs way more work. With a failing injection system, locked up brakes, and decade old hoses, it is a project packed with surprises.

Coat $1! That's awesome, however I think you're up too $2500 in WD-40, Brākleen, JB weld, random miscellaneous orings and parts. But y'all got it running hell yeah! What a fun video.
How did you manage to buy a car for $1.00 ?. I am over in the UK and I am looking for a US Spec Volvo 142 or 242 or 264 to buy.......anyone got one ?
The vin number is on the black nameplate on the left side of the firewall.
No decimal on the odo, that would be 712,372!!!!!!
We noticed this after the video and referenced the repair manual which doesn't indicate a decimal on the odometer. We finally did get it running with a Weber carb off camera, and with the awful noises the transmission makes, I think it really does have over 700k on it.
Are you going to sell it?
