    Artistic Wire Is My Fav Wire To Work With (Other Than Sterling Silver, Silver Filled & Gold Filled.) It's Phenomenal! One thing I have found is if you twist a round dead soft wire (so cut a bit more than what you need, grab both ends with pliers and twist) you can harden it to become a half hard or full hard (depending upon how many times you twist). Good way to harden wire if you say need a quick pair of ear wires and all you have access to is dead soft

    Thank you very much for sharing. I am a polymer clay artist and I always struggle with choosing the wire. I do not use it too much, and I make only simple loops and knots. Choosing the wire is a challenge for me as I am on a strict budget and can not afford to by variety if different sizes and qualities just to try. YOu explained everything briefly and very clearly. Thank you.

    • @FantasiaElegance
      @FantasiaElegance  4 года назад +1

      Thanks so much for watching! :) I'd recommend starting with 18, 20, 24, and 26 gauges in dead soft. You can do a nice range of projects/techniques with those and add on more as you get a feel for your style and what you want to do. I have a lot of great entry-level projects on my channel, actually! I feel these are probably among the best to start with: ruclips.net/video/rYmvfYbHrVg/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/gCUJC9qsV58/видео.html

      Thanks so much! You might like Artistic Wire. It's silver plated wire with an enamel coating to prevent tarnishing. I get it from Amazon: amzn.to/35ejJBY (I just linked to the 20 gauge, but they carry them all) Aluminum wire also comes in silver color and doesn't tarnish, but it's so soft it's not suitable for all types of jewelry.

    Hi, great tutorials! I'm learning a lot from you. I have a question :) I have issues with some jewlery turning my skin green which is probably due to cheap materials. What wires/material/metals should i use or would you recommend I use? Which metals cause the greenish color and which don't? I would like to start making my own jewelery and I don't want to buy the wrong type of wire/metal. Thank you for your videos!

    The funny thing is, because my country has several facilities to produce silver sterling wire, it's the same price with imported crafting wire. I even get some that is cheaper because it didn't pass the QC to be labeled and exported.

    is there any tips for making jewelry from precious stones and beads that do not have thread holes? I have a lot of them as my gifts; and they do not have holes. They are kind of medium size of 8 mm to tiny stones of 3mm. I am trying to find a way DIY with these stones into my own jewelry without poking holes through them, want to make necklace, earrings, rings, and bracelets for myself.

    Hi! I love your work and your videos are so helpful!!! I'm a beginner and received the basic set of 4 Lindstrom pliers as a gift and they make a difference! But I really want to work with thick gauge wire, like 16 to 12 gauge. These pliers, (the flush cutters), i understand works on 16 gauge wire and thinner, but to use them on a thicker gauge, can ruin the cutters and I'm not even sure if the other pliers, (round nose etc.,) are ok to use on that thick of wire. They didn't come with instructions of dos and don't >:(! Can you or anyone else reading this, recommend what kind of flush cutters and pliers are used for heavier gauges as low as 12 gauge and lower? Thank you!!!
