    Love the simple styles here. It's surprising how something may look a bit plain while being made but then looks wonderful being worn.
    You're a good teacher, too: love YOUR style. :)

    It's gorgeous and has artistic motion when just looking at it. The play of light, as it dances
    on each pair of strand-swirls, is so interesting. As all of us try to conserve our wire,
    and so as not to waste it, I'm considering pairing square 20 gauge with 18 gauge round
    when selecting one of your easier design instructions. This one is just heavenly!

    When I saw your zigzag, I am inspired to try a double zigzag, then hammer them. Then kinda do a two part braid/weave/do-si-do so they stay together and look cool! I've done it with rick-rack. Fun!

    On the first one, when you do the final bend on each loop, are you sending it in a certain direction or are you just flattening out the wire to keep the wires next to each other? I can't tell in the video.

  • @piepeeya4604

    That’s hard #1 took me several tries because I’m new at this and I couldn’t figure out exactly how to twist them because of the changing direction of the loops Didn’t come out as nice as Matt’s but it’s almost wearable 🤪😍

  • @robinbaich169

    Such beauty from such a simple concept. Can this be done with aluminum wire that gets hammered flat?

  • @lorrainemadison8569
    @lorrainemadison8569 5 лет назад +3

    So cool. Is the wire u use coated?? Do u work with aluminum?? Just wondering whats the best type of wire to use that won't discolor the skin, tarnish etc..or best for ppl with skin allergies . Tfs

    • @MattsCrazyArt
      @MattsCrazyArt  5 лет назад +5

      Coated copper is what I use.
      Aluminum is good for some things but I generally avoid it because it's so flimsy.
      If I use it, I try to hammer it to make it stronger.

      Ask a person at an art store what the gauge is. There is a tool you can buy to measure gauge too. It is like a flat piece of metal with grooves for each gauge.
