My favorite chateau programe of all on youtube. To you darling :Your decoration style are amazing, and let's not forget the humour. To the husband: how can you manage to do anything that needs to be done, blow my mind away. You both got a gift. Thank you so very much to share with us.
I too honor you as my favorite RUclips channel. I discovered your channel three days ago and have binge watched every episode over the last 2 and a half days. A applaud your intense work ethic and love watching your progress. I am 70 years old and live in Southaven, Mississippi with is just across the state line from Memphis Tennessee. Our home is 33 years old, 3000 square feet, and my husband and myself built it board by board from the ground up which took 13 months. We were both working full time and spent the rest of our waking moments working on the house. It’s still our dream home. You will one day finish and live in your dream home too. Your endeavor is monumental compared to ours. I love your videos. Please don’t stop making them.
Loved everything about this video. It’s fun to see the progress on the petite salon. The drone video of the Brittany coast is gorgeous. Love all the animals and your wonderful sense of humor. Oh, and I can understand every word you guys say 😀From 🇱🇷
The pièce that Lincoln has removed from the door is a "Verrou à coulisse". A BIG THANK YOU for these beautiful images of the shore line. Lincoln should give us a demonstration of its drone. In France a 'Petit Salon" exclusively dedicated to women is called "a boudoir"and by extension 'bouder' it's making sulk ! 😂
I adopted a finch, she got out of the cage and it was incredibly difficult to catch her. I started showing her videos on my iPad of other people’s finches. Now she goes right back to her cage to watch finch videos. It’s so cute!
I have long ago morphed into a crazy cat lady! Each of my five kitties have totally unique personalities, that amuse me daily. I have two road rescue dogs, but if I could only have one or the other, it would be cats! My dogs are so out there and obvious in their emotions. But the cats, oh my! You have to learn carefully their personalities. Each one has different needs and demands. Some are glued to my sides, other like their space. When at my friends home in Brittany, there were so many kitties. And they don’t spay/neuter like we do. Heartbreaking. The neighbor drown newborns in a boot…………. I was a licensed TNR rescue in Atlanta and did 47 ferals before moving to the GA coast. And each one was free. Wish France had programs like that. 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 Thank you for each one you give a chance at a loving home! I know we can’t save them all, but together we make a tiny dent ❤❤❤❤❤
May I suggest a Dremel (brand name tool) with a small sanding attachment for little jobs just like this one Lincoln is attempting to do. It would go a lot faster for him and it is a multi functioning tool for other projects in the future. I have one and it's been a God-send for me who has no patience at all. Just used mine the other day to cut metal.....that was fun and very quick indeed.
Love your channel. Love your dry wit. So refreshing. But mostly, love how much you love your animals and the care you give them. Much continued success!
Such hard work clearing the brambles that way . So neat finding the stones. I’m sure you’ll find something beautiful to use them for.Glad to see Lincoln feeling better. Thanks for the beautiful drone trip of the shore line.
As afraid as I am that greedy humans will use them for too many unnecessary tasks and visually pollute the skies, Drones are the most amazing invention. There's never been drone footage that I haven't loved! Thank you.
As always, your style, wit, and character gives me so much joy. Your videos are so enjoyable to watch, I cannot emphasize enough how talented you are at organizing your content and editing it all together in such a pleasing way. And with a beautiful chateau and grounds and endless animal antics you'll always have something fabulous to show us, even when you're in your happy place talking to your vegetables.
My favorite “Chateau” vlog! I think for one reason because you’re from California like I am. I lived and worked in the Bay Area before retiring. Lincoln is so much like my husband. Slow and steady! Such a beautiful property and chateau. Thank you for sharing. ❤
Best music selections…period. Loved the idea of the indigenous birds. For all the religious people that watch your channel, us included, we would love to see the chapel. Great individuality.
If you would use a favorite shovel and dig out the roots of all that weed business the weeds and trees will be eradicated. Use vinegar mixed with water and on a dry day spray the young weeds as they come up that would prevent the problem I would use some of those granites to use as edging to make a flower bed
I love that you rescue the animals,,the nature video is awesome!!! I love animalstoo as I am vegan, an animal rescuer, and animal lover. Kudos to you!!!
I need to scrape off my living room ceiling so I can paint it I’ve been so avoiding doing it but it has to be done seeing you getting this done is motivating …..💗
Amanda you are a natural presenter, I love watching your vlogs. Lincoln too has a great presence in front of the camera. You asked what the door furniture is called; I don't know(sorry) but I do know that the window furniture is called a cremone. I learned this from Chateau de la Coutere when Leanne and Julian were renovating their grand salon. Maybe it's the same for the door furniture? I can't wait for your reveal of the paint colour for your petit salon. Thank you for sharing your journey with us.
One of my favorite chateaux channels. Amanda’s dry sense of humor is great. I agree about those granite slabs - at least 7000 y/o Happy Lincoln is feeling better. Black doors look fabulous with wallpaper/trim paint. Maine USA😊
Finding those big granite block stones is so interesting!I have a two gorgeous granite stones for my front door 🚪 in my antique Cape Cod home 🏡 in the mountains 🏔️ of New Hampshire in America 🇺🇸 I really love 💗 old granite stones they are so beautiful
Love your humour....dry as a bone....I come from that background as well....Irish? Love your Chateau and property and really love your cat segment! Thank you for taking us along on your coastal tour....gorgeous!
The 7 granite steps are a great discovery, I'm sure you will find just the right place for them. Perhaps when they are brought out and cleaned up you will find some clues about their previous life. Carvings, a date? By the way, the plants below your bird table (bright green round leaves) are a delicious and nutritious salad green - they are called Nombril de Vénus in French, quite a poetic name. Bon appétit!
Refinish the hardware for the doors in a brass-tone. It can be done by 1) powder coating which you would probably have to send out to do, or 2) painting via a spray gun. Using this method, you can obtain a smooth finish (satin or shiny) or a hammered finish which would create the appearance of hand forged. Good Luck!
More beautiful video of your château. Those granite stones will look great in that area. Good job cutting all that bramble. Nice trip along the coast. Good to take breaks from the reno work. Your cats have the good life. Bird videos just for them. Perfect. Great drone shots Lincoln. Glad you are back in action.
Thank you for sharing those beautiful impressions! {I did a few similar days of killing miles and miles of brambles in my little (new) garden, some more than half an inch thick. And I found something too, but no prehistorical stones, nor beautiful mossy steps. Rather I am the proud owner of dumped windows...
What a wonderful surprise for me, another video from “Our French Chateau” and Amanda & Lincoln. I have decided that your videos are my favorite among all the other château videos I watch. Thank you for sharing an area of the Brittany coast that I have not seen. I love thé ruggedness of the Brittany and Finistère coasts. Have you taken the ferry to Belle Île, it leaves from Quiberon. Belle Île is beautiful but it is, as you can imagine, a tourist destination in summer. Finistère has an equally rugged coastline “Pointe du Raz” is worth a visit. So many gorgeous places to see! I am counting the days until we return, thirty six. I’ll have to ask my son, the farmer/chef, if he talks to his vegetables. He just sent me a beautiful photo of his purple broccoli. 😂
Enjoy your videos. Glad to see Lincoln feeling better. My husband and I are enjoying chateau life through you guys. All of it, but little by little all of your hard work is paying off! Love your cat humor.
I was cringing when you were pulling the moss off the stones…I encourage moss growth in my natural garden, and it takes forever for a stone to be covered. Yup, I would leave the moss, it is home to all kinds of micro organisms. I know, we can’t all like the same things. Speaking of like, I love the stones on the barn you were working on. So many colours and shapes. Lovely. BTW Crazy cat lady is an honourable profession 😆
Love the drone footage. Such an amazing view. You both are so funny. Love the stones that you found. They will be nice once they are cleaned up. Thank you for sharing. Love and Blessings to you all. Doris, Penrith 🇦🇺🦘 ❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏
The drone was great filming, and the birds and cats were so cute. Paws up. Yep. Cat lover here, too. One is enough for me, though. We did have 3 that lived long lives. They all passed with old age. The stones are interesting, and I like your idea of moving them. You're a patient, man Lincoln. Taking all that paint off with a screwdriver would put me in counseling.
I always love everything about your videos. Such a nice find under the brambles. The cats and animal kingdom know that your house is the place to find love, shelter, and entertainment!! ❤️
Hope you will be able to use the granite steps one day. I think I will do a little water color of the bird feeder in my journal, so you could say this human really enjoyed it.🆒
Did you know you can get paint off hardware by soaking it in boiling hot water? Sometimes, it takes several soaking/scraping sessions, but softens the paint and thus eliminates most of the risk of scratches.
Wonderful vlog, you both work so hard.Glad to see Lincoln is better. The moss covered granite stones are a great find, can’t wait to see what you do with them. How beautiful the coast is there, the drone footage was spectacular! Just beautiful! Do you ever find pretty shells and bring them home? The bird video for the cats , was really nice ! I have to say it was too funny watching them view it. A chateau vlog for cats…hmmm.
Amazing work! Love Cap Fréhel and fort La Latte is so beautiful too! It stared in the 1958 The Vikings movie with Kirk Douglas and Toby Curtis, such a great sword fight! 😉
Nice video! Interesting to see door hardware that was intended to be painted, rather than polished. And a set of stairs is an intriguing find! The geology of the coastline is quite beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Great video 👍 The hardware was a cost and style choice originally to be painted, you could patina them and seal with a satin spray finish. It is the same process as the cars etc to look old but preserved.
I have removed paint from brass and metal by soaking in a vinigar and water solution and boil , let sit. I also used a slow cooker and let it cook overnight. worked like a charm, paint pealed off very easy. Good luck.
Beautiful drone shots of the coast, Lincoln. Daylight Savings Time just kicked in, remember that ? Northern Calif is really experiencing some weather, going up there next week Mendocino, on the coast. So I will be enjoying my own scenic views then . All the best, from San Diego California.
I had dead bolt locks on all the French doors of my old house. They were wonderful to hold one door closed from the pair of doors so we could still get air circulating from the outside without having both doors open. Lovely! Nice job, Lincoln.
I knew they were steps right away because they looked like the side porch steps I had moved from my 90 yr old farmhouse and dumped at the edge of my 'rock garden' (also dumped as left over from demolition of old stone well) The only place on my 1 acre. The two steps were attached, now they look awesome and the cats use it for hunting. Bonus is I recently received two old photos of the pioneer descendants who built this house sitting on those steps! I'm framing them and displaying them on the porch.
I just love this! Great humor and views of the landscapes! Your humor is a welcome change to ho-hum of everyday life here, where it's still far from spring! Cheers from PA,,USA
I absolutely love your videos - this one was very relaxing to watch with your music choices and lovely scenes at the beach. Reminds me of Newport, RI a little bit! If I was a kitty, I'd give your bird video another paw up! Great find in the garden.
Lincoln, we call them "targette loquet" in my South Western part of France. Or put more simply "targette" or loquet". Nice vidéo. Wish i could go back to France now that I am retired to volonteer in all those chateau restauration. The windows mecanism are called "crémones" but i am sure you knew that already.
Exciting to see the work you’re doing on the petit salon. As for the granite blocks you unearthed-the moss is beautiful! Also-your cats are SO cute. ❤️
Love the drone footage of the beach, the beautiful rock seaside and the unusual milky green ocean water. My grandparents had granite stone steps leading up to the front door of their Vermont home - so pleasant to sit on during a hot summer day.
How much are the pet mules worth? A mini-excavator would be a fun little tool to own, though harness trained mules could pull the granite blocks to a new location. Options to weigh...😉
My cat Raven loved your bird video. I also feed some outdoor stray cats in the neighborhood and have several bird feeders to keep Raven entertained. Glad Lincoln is recovering well. Love the beach drone shots. Thanks for sharing 😍😘
I’ve been watching you tube channel our French house adventure. He is a master at renovation. This week he replaced French windows, Lincoln you might want to watch #38. He shows window hardware installation too. Very clever !

Agree don’t change ! other channels seem to think they are so called celebrities
Honestly, the shot of the donkeys relaxing and looking at the view is the most calming image ever! I love those donkeys. Such characters ❤

Me too! I've binge-watched all weekend. They're great. Now my favorite RUclips channel as well.
Lincoln has the most calming voice. He would be great reading sleep stories or doing ASMR videos. You can trust this insomniac...

Your property is lovely with lots of outbuildings, the stone barns are a bonus. I also get your sense of humour and the ridiculous.
Wonderful film of the coastline, the colours of the rocks are beautiful. Cat videos just pure joy.
Best music selections…period. Loved the idea of the indigenous birds. For all the religious people that watch your channel, us included, we would love to see the chapel. Great individuality.
The problem with brambles is that you have dig up the roots otherwise they are going to grow back! Ugh.They are just menacing!
**Chateau Chaos. Funny.
Yet again! Marvelous story telling. The grounds are so lovely. Everything is turning so green!!!
Thanks again!

I love the hand forge look!
Great granite find. Step to the park will be so nice. Hope Lincoln continues to heal. Love your animals.
Lots of work renovating any old building or home 🏡 and constant maintenance takes a lot of patience in general and a love of old buildings
Lincoln has a lot of patience taking off that door hardware my door 🚪 hardware was handmade rod iron be a local blacksmith in the early 1700

You're a patient, man Lincoln. Taking all that paint off with a screwdriver would put me in counseling.
Use a thick rubber band to put over the hole then manually undo the existing screw
LOL -- loved the bird video portion of the post. One of my cats was sitting on my desk and I had to play it for her several times. Another paw up!
It would be great if you could use those stones somewhere on the property. The drone footage is stunning.
What a spectacular coastline! Thanks for the gorgeous footage.
Wishing you and Lincoln a beautiful Spring 🐣🐥🐣 and waiting on gardening season …..Blessings to your family
I always love everything about your videos. Such a nice find under the brambles. The cats and animal kingdom know that your house is the place to find love, shelter, and entertainment!! ❤️
I love your sense of humor and your love of animals. Lincoln is truly your sole mate. Love your vlogs.❤❤❤
The views from the drone were amazing. I think your cats were human in a previous life. Good to Lincolin back at work.
That was so beautiful along the coast! Luv those granite stones……if only they could talk! Thank you for sharing this beautiful vlog! Blessings🙏
I love your humor, especially about the sickle and your nighttime routine.
Four paws up!!! 😂😍
Hope you will be able to use the granite steps one day. I think I will do a little water color of the bird feeder in my journal, so you could say this human really enjoyed it.🆒
I use a sickle as well. Best gardening tool ever!
Did you know you can get paint off hardware by soaking it in boiling hot water? Sometimes, it takes several soaking/scraping sessions, but softens the paint and thus eliminates most of the risk of scratches.
I’m also impatiently waiting for Spring! I enjoy your videos, and I appreciate that you included waffles and the donkeys.
Love your videos, including the nature shots. Maybe you could use the stones as garden seats
Wonderful vlog, you both work so hard.Glad to see Lincoln is better. The moss covered granite stones are a great find, can’t wait to see what you do with them. What a find. Wonder if there was a building there before the barn was built. Interesting.
Amazing work!
Love Cap Fréhel and fort La Latte is so beautiful too!
It stared in the 1958 The Vikings movie with Kirk Douglas and Toby Curtis, such a great sword fight! 😉
Oh I’m in heaven the coast is spectactular. How fortunate are you to be that close
Forgot how pretty the ceiling is in your central hall. Love the drone shots. Your very own Horizontal Stonehenge.
🤣
Nice video! Interesting to see door hardware that was intended to be painted, rather than polished. And a set of stairs is an intriguing find! The geology of the coastline is quite beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
I would use the stones around a flower bed
Beautiful footage of the coastline ❤️great vlog - thank you ❤️❤️
Great video 👍 The hardware was a cost and style choice originally to be painted, you could patina them and seal with a satin spray finish. It is the same process as the cars etc to look old but preserved.
I have removed paint from brass and metal by soaking in a vinigar and water solution and boil , let sit. I also used a slow cooker and let it cook overnight. worked like a charm, paint pealed off very easy. Good luck.
I am a crazy cat lady to 🤣🤣🤣 we have 4 in our house x
😹
Beautiful drone shots of the coast, Lincoln. Daylight Savings Time just kicked in, remember that ? Northern Calif is really experiencing some weather, going up there next week Mendocino, on the coast. So I will be enjoying my own scenic views then . All the best, from San Diego California.
Had to laugh, while explaining your future plans, you were waving the cycle around - like Edward Scissor Hands. : )
Mendocino is one of our favorite spots - enjoy!
Very wild terrain compared to San Diego, we are looking forward to it. Also, the big trees . Thanks Amanda and Lincoln for sharing with us.
I had dead bolt locks on all the French doors of my old house. They were wonderful to hold one door closed from the pair of doors so we could still get air circulating from the outside without having both doors open. Lovely! Nice job, Lincoln.
Loved the coastal footage and birds.
The kitties video was precious! I loved the seaside aerial, what an amazing coast!
LOVE the ariel footage around Cap Frehel!!! And the birdies and kitties of course. Thank you for sharing it with us ❤
I knew they were steps right away because they looked like the side porch steps I had moved from my 90 yr old farmhouse and dumped at the edge of my 'rock garden' (also dumped as left over from demolition of old stone well) The only place on my 1 acre. I'm framing them and displaying them on the porch.
Love all your animals and keep doing drone videos!
I love your videos but also enjoy your photography and seeing the area around your château. Very relaxing 😌
Thanks so much! 😊
Think Brambles are blackberry prickly vines and stickers... For these big chateau projects- it's like start with a good size tractor and chipper.
I just love this! Great humor and views of the landscapes! Your humor is a welcome change to ho-hum of everyday life here, where it's still far from spring! Cheers from PA,,USA
