Lot's of leftists are really dogmatic about theory and the people who write them. They don't understand that Theory isn't meant to be infallable instructions to save the world, but actually meant to be you know... adapted and interpreted for the times. I don't get why this dude thinks that just because Marx said something, we must all follow that. I'm not even a Marxist and I wouldn't be an Anarchist either if Anarchism wasn't in line with what I came to believe on my own. For example, I don't like Bakunin's stance on religion, so what? I don't care about Bakunin. I can be an Anarchist without agreeing [on everything]* with Bakunin.
*a little edit because, of course, disagreeing with some of the core ideas of Anarchism, which Bakunin shared with other prominent theorists, would render me non-Anarchist.
Many right-wingers are about completely following people or ideas so they assume people on the left are too.
Lot's of leftists are really dogmatic about theory and the people who write them. They don't understand that Theory isn't meant to be infallable instructions to save the world, but actually meant to be you know... adapted and interpreted for the times. Just because Marx said something centuries ago doesn't mean that it still applies to the modern day world unequivocally. Ironically enough, lots of other leftists treat theory like a religious text that can never be wrong.

Yeah that shit's long af
Kapital is a long read, yet it is a long read that does poignantly address broader themes of capitalism that are still applicable today.
You mean five or six Americans. Revolutionaries the world over have read Kapital, in all sorts of national conditions and with all sorts of threats surrounding them. It's only in the Imperial Core where there's such a rejection towards reading theory.
Yeah Kapital is complicated as all hell, especially chapter 1. But it's an incredibly useful and relevant book that lays everything out, and has dozens of reading companions to help people along.
