A couple of years ago, Ren was broke and he bought a beat from Kujo beats on an UNLIMITED licence. The Bulgarian choir came after Kujo as he had stolen the sample and not cleared it with the choir to use and they wanted paying. Bear in mind Sick Boi had been out 18months by this time and was super popular and earning Ren a lot of dosh. Kujo subsequently decided to try and extort Ren for money and put in a copyright strike against Sick Boi, then demanded £3000 "royalties" which is nothing to do with Ren....Ren bought the sample in good faith, royalties come from the publishers not the artists. Ren didn't find out about this until earlier this year and Kujo wasn't willing to negotiate even when Ren offered to do a track with him and split it 50-50 even though he didn't have to. Kujo refused this golden opportunity, and things got heated then the gf interferred pretending to be on Ren's side and open to negotiations blah blah. Was all a crock of shit so Ren took sick boi down himself and said he wouldn't be held hostage over a track that meant so much to him and others. Kujo was just being greedy. Luckily, Ren somehow got a meeting with YT Music CEO Mr Cohen and he agreed the strike was fraudulent and now Sick Boi is back :)
