I heard her call the instrument a "Mandola", not a Mandolin, at a release party session. But it's almost the same. Mandola is for mandolin what viola is for violin. Mandola and viola are somewhat bigger. And mandola is tuned differently than mandolin.

I got excited when I saw that she was doing live looping, too. I think she's also controlling the voice effects as well.

you know what? as much as i like all the vevo live performances, i like the eno remix. and i like the recent stripped promo-concert versions. vevo comes third. thank you for this kind reaction. if you listen to the album from begin to end, it's like an episode movie. not one song has the album title in the lyrics but each song should be seen under the question: 'what happened to the heart?'. it's not yet a 'dark side of the moon' experience and i guess she never will go with longer pieces. hopefully i will be wrong.

I think musically this song is very similar to the song The Seed. Of course different instrumentation and slower tempo. Can musicians give their opinion on this?

I'm not surprised that she knows the technical craft as well as the artistic stuff. She LOVES being in the studio and experimenting, creating and producing.

This album is quite dark, and unexpected. This album is some of my favorite lyrical content Aurora. And being an old raver, I love the fact that she went full hard techno on this song. Never could I have imagined we would get a song like this from Aurora. It's definitely a call to arms. Aurora said this is the song she wants everyone to hear.

This is definitely an angry song. Aurora has said that she and Frederik made this song as a response to the horrific situation in Gaza, and of course it applies to violence against anyone anywhere. I love her calls for us to come to our collective senses. And, as a plus, this song is an amazing piece of music!

Hello friend! Surprise, surprise. First time Aurora with rave. I usualy don't like ravemusic but this have as usual for Aurora top notch lyrics and it´s a very forceful ending no one could argue about.

I don’t know the “official interpretation” of the song, but from the Faroese lyrics (I speak Faroese) and from what I can read, see and hear, it’s about her acting like a protective mother bird of her “sisters” and how her “sisters” have her back. Considering all the references to fire, out of the ashes and fire branding as a mark of protection, I’m thinking the bird is a phoenix. It’s about female empowerment, and how women need to protect each other, and listen to each other. I also like how in the video it looks like they’ve made a sort of “coven” of protection. :)

Eivor is beyond comparison. Her vocals in this just show her as the greatest.

It is a human sacrifice, very detailed and authentic if you have a look on the bog bodies that have been found for example "The Tollund Man". She is doing it willingly and voluntarily, the Shaman is doing the sacrifice. Later on, she arises as a part of Freyas Valkyries and is free from her shackles. The first text that Maria sings is old high german and is a "spell" or a "charm" about women similar to the valkyries freeing the warriors. Not every detail is known and some aren't sure if the text is really describing that, but I think we all get a picture with the performance on stage. It is beautiful.

Speaking about the new song, the band says, “Traust is probably HEILUNG‘s most positive song so far. Dominated by female voices it starts out with, what is called Leysigaldr in old Icelandic, a blessing to release a tied warrior. HEILUNG performs that blessing actively on stage during the song. It continues with nine blessings, taken from the old Icelandic poem Grogaldr. Here, luck in battle, good words in speeches and yet another blessing of release are summoned. The choir sings a younger Icelandic protection spell.
