epic. thanks for suggesting and reacting. it's all about resources and logistics. money isn't the solution, is not part of the equation when it comes to nature.

Great reaction to this amazingly beautiful performance, and thanks, I’m glad you appreciated it🥰🥰 Yeah, it would’ve been awesome to be there😍 That last scream gets me every time🥺💚💙 Did you sign the petition?😉 I did💚💙 Aurora also did a tribute to the Norwegian Sámi artist Mari Boine, she’s known for yoiking. Joik or Yoik is a traditional form of song in Sámi music performed by the Sámi people of Sapmi in Northern Europe (Norway, Sweden and Finland). A performer of joik is called a joikaaja (in Finnish), a joiker (in Norwegian, and anglicised) or jojkare (in Swedish). Originally, joik referred to only one of several Sami singing styles, but in English the word is often used to refer to all types of traditional Sami singing. As an art form, each joik is meant to reflect or evoke a person, animal, or place. This is a fancam, but it’s quite good👍 ruclips.net/video/OPr6PuN9uKc/видео.htmlsi=1HkHvOKTvbB6snkw
I'm not sure if I misunderstood you, but did you mean that it was prerecorded or that you would have preferred to be there in person? The performance was recorded live on-site. Except for the distant panoramic shots, everything was filmed during the recording, and the piano had to be tuned right at the location. There is a behind-the-scenes clip that shows the piano tuner at work while Aurora warms Jacob's hands so he can play in the cold. Collier mentioned that it was too cold for him to play as much as he usually does, and he had to make some compromises. Their voices naturally trembled due to the low temperature. Although some parts were structurally preplanned, much of it was improvised on the spot, reflecting Aurora's free-spirited nature. 😊
I meant I would have loved to hear this physically in person, i would love to be able to hear the natural acoustics of the song. To hear the voices bouncing off rocks and water. The sharp notes of piano echoing.
@@guitarsgames1978 you need to listen to KALEO "Save Yourself" (LIVE at Fjallsárlón), a glacier lagoon or KALEO - Backbone (LIVE at Breiðarmerkurjökull), inside a glacier
@guitarsgames1978 plus, it is a good band. way down we go is one of their most popular songs, but my favourite is an icelandic one: vor í vaglaskógi. there is a version with english subtitles available, too

Sign the petition people. It's a small ask and the least you can do next to doing nothing. The original recorded version of A Rock Somewhere is radically different with sitar and other Indian influences but was re-purposed here with some lyric modifications to make it environmentally oriented where the rock is obviously planet earth. It sounds like you're not familiar with Jacob, whose level of genius I haven't seen before in over 60 years. Jan Hammer, Herbie Hancock and Quincy Jones agree and Quince became his manager and appears in Jacob's wild "All Night Long" video along with Take 6. Collier plays a dozen instruments, has an incredibly precise large vocal range and his harmonization is brilliant. I can't even get into the music theory behind some of it which he guest teaches sometimes like at MIT. This WAS recorded live on site. Jacob regularly does live improvisations at his concerts along with at least one improvised audience choir. Other songs to check out: Little Blue (Mahogany Sessions with a small audience of fans), Moon River, Bridge Over Trouble Waters (Live in LA or recorded with Yebba), Hideaway, Don't You Worry Bout a thing or even The Flintstones which one 1 of his 6 Grammys so far. "Don't You Know" with Snarky Puppy shows some jazz chops. He covers many genres so here's a choral work he reportedly composed the day before recording: ruclips.net/video/DUS1wnA0SQM/видео.html
That last note is gut wrenching. I've heard this a dozen times and it gets me every time.
Breathtaking is the only way to describe this wonderful performance!
Yup, she IS magic and nature is speaking through her 🍀✨
That was recorded live. Listen on headphones, you can hear the wind blowing her mic and the sound of the water. :)
