Ngl, I love that she gets her privacy and feels comfortable sharing her art even when she's writing a DISNEY manga that's been published in multiple countries. It must be nerve-wracking to write something with so many eyes on it in those circumstances

@@Zulf85 Oh definitely, like it’s hard enough being an artist online with many eyes on your work, it is very nice that she has that privacy, especially since it allows more accessibility in the publishing industry for manga writers who might not have gone into that field due to how daunting it is to publish with your name attached to it. Although, I would have liked to see more of her art online, not necessarily info on her real identity, since she is clearly very talented!

I have only ever heard of Disney manga recently thanks to the KH manga and more recently, Twisted Wonderland, however I’m missing out on the girlier stuff. The art in Miriya Marie is absolutely stunning and gives me such 1960s manga vibes. I gotta try and get a copy sometime!
7:18 If it makes you feel any better, a kiss on the cheek is a common way French people greet. But yeah no its definitely still pretty weird even with that as context
also the way it is drawn is not at all how you'd kiss a stranger on the cheek x) it's more like smashing your cheek against the other and making a kissy sound (also in france they do it on both cheeks!)
@@lhumyaki I didn't know that, I sorta assumed it was a one cheek and done thing. So in the end he really had no reason to be kissing her like that.
Mmm I also lost both my pets: the first family pet being my Nan’s dog Pixie back in February and my beloved cat Patch in June…so yeah I…know how hard it is to deal with losing pets especially when they’re your baby. It’s one of the reasons Christmas will be very difficult this year and I’m not in the mood for it at all 😣 I’m sorry for your loss, fellow pet lover❤

I have this manga and it’s GORGEOUS! It being in full color makes it stand out and it’s just so beautiful I can’t even.
I love the energy of this channel. Always a joy. I feel so safe and comfortable here. I feel the loss of a cat as well, unfortunately. My cat Sassy, who was first taken in by my grandparents and then when my grandparents passed away was given to me to take care of, is no longer around. She lived a full life, so, at least I can find comfort in that.

Which is kinda what happened last year. I made $270 off of selling my eggs and as soon as I got home my mom said "[Local cat rescue]'s facebook page just updated. Ollie's [my cat] brother has a home lined up, they just need to pay for his last life saving surgery. They still need $270 by next week." and I mean-- what do you do when shit lines up like that?

That was literally my first manga i had in my life. I bought it in 2019 when i went in a school trip for a literature convention in my state (Ceará, on Brazil), and i found that manga of Aristocats. I have it with me until today, thank you for talking about it, seriously ❤

so I bought it.
I skimmed through the manga and the one thing that bothered me was the refusal for historical accuracy. I mean, Miriya gets isekaied to 1910s France for crying out loud!
This should be made into a good animated Disney movie, HOPEFULLY. Because of what I have heard, that Disney's "Wish" movie was a huge disappointment, and I am also concerned that what if Disney makes a terrible movie based on this manga. :/

The Aristocats is a random favorite of mine solely due to "Everybody wants to be a cat" being a prominent Disney song where I live, and yet I had never even HEARD of this... I wonder if Disney have done more manga like this, as interesting little "spin-offs" that... I frankly don't know how to qualify or see how they fit into their Larger Disney plans. This project has strong 00's Kingdom Hearts energy where Disney could let outside creators just play around with their brands and do something very peculiar, attuned to one specific market, and not be part of some bigger cross-over property. Intriguing, especially for spinning off from a movie Disney doesn't really promote much anywhere else as far as I can see.
