We're trying to keep the overall weight of the bike down by using alloy components. Our tectonic aluminum is also incredibly durable for as lightweight as it is. We've used T1 & T2 alloy for products such as the Salvo, Tyax, Switchback, Argus, Fireball, Guide, and even our Title race bikes. Appreciate the question!
2nd this, as a proud Grit owner of ~5000 miles, a steel frame with copious mounting bosses especially on the underside of the top tube (for bolt-on frame bags (diy'd one for my grit😁)), thru-axles, mid level "freehub" drivetrain such as on the guide sport/microshift sword, etc, steel or carbon fork options, replaceable mech hanger, for a reasonable price would pretty much be an insta-buy from me. love the grit but the stiff (albeit very durable) alu frame can be rough on bumpy terrain after a while, steel for compliance
Weight???
26 lbs
Mongoose should do an all steel touring/gravel bike line. Alloy fork? QR? Why?

Already love my Grit, would love to give one of these a try.
You'd dig it!
Doesn't come with pedals. What size pedals does it take?
Standard 9/16 thread pedals 👍 Thanks for the question!
