That kolohe smile he throws out, knowing that unless you know the secret of ki ho’alu, you will never be able to play this song right. This song takes me back to small kid time, listening to him play at my Aunty Kehau’s house in pearl city! I would sit in amazement that someone could play using not only their fingers, but the whole arm! I takes me back to a time when you no one locked there doors, going to baby luau’s just because you lived in the neighborhood, hearing the Manapua man coming and begging the adults for change and getting a dollar so I could buy a manapua, candy and a soda and maybe a “grab bag”, going behind the power plant in pearl city to swim and pick watercress and crayfish so my grandma could make soup… Hawai’i may never get back to how it was, but song’s like this bring memories back that are near and dear to my heart, along with a tear to my eye knowing that my keiki will never get a chance to experience these things… but they can listen to the music that became a soundtrack to my life as I tell them the stories about my youth! Thanks ah, Uncle Led!
If he isn't the best guitar player on earth, I just don't know who is. And oh my gosh, I just love his grins, because you know he is having fun and he is pleased with himself. Too cool. This is one superb video. Jus' press. Yeah. He makes it sound so easy.

I've seen him do his signature bass line slide many times in the past but it's till the coolest thing ever! I'll never get tired of it.

Not only is he a great musician and guitarist, but he definitely has the personality to go with it!
Here's a bit of behind the scenes info. During one of Led's shaka moves I could hear Shayna totally laugh out loud. Thankfully the mic didn't pick up Shayna's laugh or we would have had to do another take.
