Since you're in for Tarot stories video, might as well check out Aluette, a unique card game played in the Pays de la Loire region in France with a very interesting story, and while it is not a Tarot game, its ancestral game, La Luette, was a Tarot game, and was played with a 78-card Tarot de Marseille deck, however, the exact rules of this ancestral game was sadly lost to time, so people have been trying their best to reconstruct the rules of this ancestral game, and the transition from the ancestral La Luette game to the modern Aluette game was also interesting on its own, and while Aluette can still be played with a Tarot de Marseille deck, only with the 10s, queens, and all 22 trumps including the fool removed, it is more often played with a 48-card Spanish deck imported from Spain.
Thanks, I looked into Aluette while doing the Primiera video. It's a bit tricky, but perhaps sometime in the future. I may tackle the Spanish deck before though. Thanks for the ideas!
the art of this video is excellent, you managed to copy the drawing style of Pamela Colman Smith. Have you ever wondered of creating your own deck? Many groups (like the Golden Dawn, the Ordo Templi Orientis) require their members to create a tarot deck (when the member pass a certain degree)
Thanks I really appreciate this! I may make some decks, certainly a 52 card playing deck is in the works, if I can get it good enough. I don’t think I’ll be joining any secret society anytime soon and if I did I couldn’t tell you 😂 Thanks for watching!
See Alessandro Cagliostro, a self proclaimed Alchemist whose Freemason Egyptian Ceremony influenced the tarot deck. If only someone made a video on that...
Only my speculation, but as Catherine de' Medici's tower was built before France adopted the metric system in 1799, those 31 metres could have more likely been 100ft (a round number) or 33 yards, with 33 being an important number in numerology, and frequently occurring in other things, The number of times god is mentioned in Genesis, the age of Jesus at his death, there's 33 degrees of freemasonry. A number square on the 'Passion' façade wall of Sagrada Familia cathedral in Barcelona that adds up to 33 in many ways, some believe that randomly seeing the number 33, it's the angel number and a sign you should trust your intuition, embrace change, and be kind to others. I don't get many chances to feel like Robert Langdon, and I could be wrong, of course.
Another great video! Thanks!!
Great production as always!
Much appreciated!

Why doesn't this have more views?

I am a fan of alchemy. Is there any relations between tarot mysticism and alchemy? 🤔

Fascinating. I'm sure numerology was very much on Catherine's mind in most of what she did. Thanks!
