This fight made me feel genuine fear unlike Omega Flowey. The music being breakcore was also a very unexpected, but welcome surprise.
Fr, reminds me of Giygas from Earthbound. Idk why, but Giygas just gives me a certain feeling that invokes disturbance and fear. Omega Flowey did not give off that same feeling - I was fine looking at him, I didn't get what all the fuss was about how scary he is. Neutral Flowey, on the other hand, successfully pulls off that Giygas feeling. He genuinely made me feel scared. But then again, he felt much more psychological horror-y than other stuff in the game

That;s probably because UTYellow spends much more time building up the simple fact Flowey IS in control. Undertale tries this too but in my opinion the transition is short to a fault. Undertale is all about determination, but here I felt... helpless. When Flowey got Clover's soul, I honestly expected the game to just close and lock you out for a bit, kind of like UT's genocide.
In Undertale, Flowey is an antagonist, a powerful enemy. But here, he is a force of nature.
The fight is scary because Flowey's attacks are his own fears and traumas, and that makes sense because the entire fight takes place in Flowey's head.
Honestly the fact that each motif changes to match perfectly with Flowey’s different phases is really insane especially compared to Omega Flowey.
The part I find interesting is that the devs were able to use a different scare factor for each of the Meta-Flowey phases

I like to think Flowey isn't JUST taunting you for the people you killed, he could also be laughing that no one can save you (But I mean that only applies if you killed just about every boss).
I love how Ceroba is included in the fight since you could easily mess up a geno route in the steamworks (me).

shame most will never see this fight because they probably will either do pacifist only, or pacifist and genocide, probably assuming neutral isn't worth seeing, I really loved those running sections in the boss fight, just the idea of hopelessly running away
I accidentally saw it cuz i was doing pacifist until axis who i killed to see ceroba's reaction thinking I can always just reload my save file. I got mail from Marlet which I immidietely skipped on accident. I went to the rooftop and Flowey stole my save file. No regrets tho. This fight is awesome
This fight is my favorite. I played neutral for last and it has become my favorite route just because this fight.
Neutral has the best final boss and genocide is overall the best. Pacifist is just... pacifist

i'm kinda curious, which phase/part scared you guys the most? for me it was the paper flowey at 11:11. the combination of the music being... just... _off,_ the wide smile and empty eyes, and the fact that he just doesn't move or bounce just unnerves the hell outta me.

Maybe I’m thinking too deeply on this, but there’s a possible explanation for that: Flowey is Asriel’s Soulless self as a Flower. Asriel was a child when he died alongside Chara. Children oftentimes have very colorful imaginations and such.
Flowey is essentially a child, albeit a soulless, selfish, and sociopathic one.
At least, that’s what I think.

Crazy how well the flowey fight is in the game. I actually like this fight way more then undertale. It took what undertale did and upped the craziness by 100%. This is like taking gygas and turning it into an insane carnival ride that hates you. Big props to the developers and Im so glad I did the neutral route cause this IS my favorite fight in the game period.

I like the headcanon that the reason Flowey lost control of the human souls so easily in the Omega Flowey fight was because he was doing something like this for all six of the humans to keep them broken enough to puppet. Once Frisk came through breaking the immersion in a sense, Flowey could no longer keep them all in check. Bro was multitasking x6
(Also, in the Omega Flowey fight, it would be an explanation as to why his attacks get super simplified in the final section for a little bit. Flowey tried getting getting back control of the humans so put the fight on autopilot, and then gave up and went as all out as he could)

Ceroba shouldve been in section 2 and guardner shouldve been in section 3 in base UTY
I had to take the liberty to have those in section 3 to fill out nicely and even for all the sections. Besides can't have ceroba and guardener in the same fight.

However I do believe either 2-2-3 or an adjusted 2-3-2 (2-3-2 in pacifist order is the pattern the game uses)

@@HeavyWeaponsGuyisHornyYeah because in geno you skip Guardener, and the only way to get Ceroba in a neutral run is to abort geno, and the only way to do that is to not meet the monster (or robot in this case) kill quota by the time you reach the Axis fight, and you can’t go back to kill Gaurdener after Axis is dead

The phase where he torments you with the images of those you've killed does not have the track afterlife play on it.
