I loved seeing all the designs, but I missed seeing the Simple Elegant Tee which I have made thanks to your videos. I haven’t made a lot of clothing, but I have 2 of those so far, one each in Jersey knit and rayon. Thanks for the great videos!
What a GREAT lesson on learning about the differences in the styles of the tee shirts! I prefer a looser tee with a sleeve somewhere between a short sleeve and a 3/4 sleeve…I’m a tad overweight and I don’t like my upper arms showing🤣. Watching you compare the styles was wonderful. Thank you 💕👍
You are welcome! I find that every pattern designer starts with a slightly different sloper. What's important is to find our base and stick with it - unless our body's change (which is happening to me right now)!
The comparison of the pattern pieces for various styles of tee shirts was very helpful. It was great to see the style differences in patterns that are suitable for sewing with Batik jersey knit. I used the full bust versions for the ITS Islares and Glenelly tops which provided a bit more ease but maintained the good fit in the neckline and shoulders. Happy sewing, Diane.
With so many "basic" tee-shirt garment patterns I was curious to see the differences in the pattern ayout. When I did this comparison I just had to share it. I'm so glad you found it helpful Laura.
Hi there - great question! The answer is no. Batik fabrics must be 100% natural fiber otherwise the dye stuff does not adhere to the fabric. Our jersey knit is 20% 2-way stretch.
I love the way you compared all these tee shirt patterns! I've never seen this done before. It's very helpful.
You are welcome! It's something I do often when comparing patterns that fit me to new designs that I'd like to try sew.

You are so welcome! The Simple Elegant Tee is a great quick garment pattern to sew. I must have 10 of these tops in various lengths. Love them!!
Love the coral tee and the shirt you are wearing!!!
Thank you so much! I rarely wear coral shades, but I think that might just change!!

@@sewbatikfabric I will be garment kit twinning with you again as soon as my Butterick 6848 kit arrives.😁
Do you have any Jersey knit fabrics that are about 90% cotton & 10% stretch?
