there were definitely way more valuable stuff, these are just the thing the rubes left behind. the safest things in abandoned places are books and art. looters are not into those things.
The old man that you showed the self portrait of is actually the author of those raunchy books you showed as well. Gerard De Villiers. Guessing this was 1 of his 2 homes. He was a very successful author who passed away in 2013, around the same time as the old lady you showed at around 31:10
The castle look reminds me of castle boutique stores out here. They are adult stores. The little "polaroids" are actually slides. My grandparents had a lot. We had them transferred to DVD.
It almost feels like there were two different families living in this home. The photos seem like they belonged to one family and then the "oddities" belong to another family that just moved in without removing the previous family's items for whatever reason.. I mean I've heard of that happening- like a squatters situation.
Multi-generational houses are quite common in continental Europe, that's why you end up with several kitchens, dining rooms and multiple living rooms. Looks like a house that's been subjected to a police search with everything out and gone through methodically. Nothing strange about the hidden storage it's common here to provide a little discrete attic space when building another floor into the roof and it also provides a flat wall instead of the slope of the roof.
Hi from Australia 🇦🇺 love how you tell us abit of history first thank you for showing respect to the owners house keep up the great work enjoy watching your videos
This is a home left full of so many antics just stunning and beautiful. Im suprised what is found undisturbed.no distrucsion. Wow!! You could live there as is!!!
How does a bank seize a house and not at least have an estate sale / sheriff's auction on all the stuff left behind so they can recoup some of the loss? The china, glassware, books, wall art and furniture could bring in a nice sum.
They may have done some promotional stuff. I worked in promo for years and we always had bulk stuff in the shop. Easy to decorate with a sticker and get it out the door. Such a beautiful house and I love the respect and the information/commentary you do.
The part when he picked up the expired snack cake and put it down, the hard sound it made cracked me up 🤣🤣! Definitely expired 🤣! Love how you tour these abandoned houses 💕! Just wish we knew their locations 🤷🏾♀️. Great job, guys 👏🏾👏🏾👍😁! P.S. That house is a hoarders treasure trove 😬… oh, and thanks for mentioning that it is in Belgium 🤓👌
This is Belgium, because the B and those numberplates were in use from 1973 to 2008.I used to live there. And it's in Wallonia, the french region of Belgium as everything written is in French. But unless they had newer cars and this van was just a relic from the past, this place is abandoned longer. The lotuscookie you held (speculoos, very very nice by the way,you need to go get some:) )expired 2016 and they last forever,so I really think this was abandoned much earlier.
I'm blown away....here where I live in Washington USA that place would have been ransacked and vandalism everywhere and bums would be squattin fer shure.... wish there was places round here ta look at....nice vid.thanks fer the tour bud.
I am not so sure that cat died from starvation, it might have had access to the outside. Considering there was a box of cat food sitting on the counter in the kitchen seeminly untouched by the cat. Having cats myself i know if they are left alone for a while and have access to the cupboards/pentry they do chew and rip through sealed plastic to access food, even if its not cat food. That paper box of cat food full or empty would have been torn to pieces by a starving cat.
Poor cat, he could've been in poor health before the owner left. Might not have been able to jump up and look for food. Horrible that it was left behind like that.
I prefer to believe the cat was not malnourished and even without the owner it was laying on a pillow on top of the couch in my head she passed away comfortably from old age and she is in Kitty heaven 🌄
Pets, if left abandoned or if their owner suddenly dies, can die of broken hearts, just like people! I think he/she was waiting for the return of the owners, and they just never came back because the wife died and then the husband lost the home. Very sad.
Something killed that bird. Could it have been the cat? Then even if the cat did get into the food, could it get to water? It would've died pretty quickly with no water.
Horrible to think that they left their cat there to die. It probably lived a few years longer, waiting for them to come back and finally died alone in the study where it sat with his owner. Very sad.
Poor kitty, must've been left behind, makes me so sadddd.😭😭🙏🏻🙏🏻😿😿😻😻Nice house, I can't believe the waisted things left. Those round plastered moldings on ceiling above the chandeliers are called "medalions". FYI. I watch a lot on HG TV.
Hi from Australia. Your videos are interesting, you find amazing properties. I just finished watching the video titled: Exploring a P*rnstars ABANDONED Modern Mansion, my theory about the multiple toys, glassware boxes etc. is the guy might have owned a retail business of some type.
21:33 my favorite part of this house is all the pink pink pink !! So pretty ! My favorite room is that balcony and those three beautiful chandeliers with the pink medallions and those cute cabinets. I love the staircase too! Very odd house thou.
What an incredible place and sad to see it sitting there and nobody's going to redo that and make it livable or at least salvage stuff in there . If they own party stores a lot of that random stuff might be from that. 🥺 Poor cat, would have been better if it got locked outside. Wow 😱simply amazing. Thanks for sharing this amazingly home
I did a little digging. The guy in the pictures (the older man) and sketch that was found looks like the author of those "naughty" books you found in the red bedroom. Gerard de Villiers. I could be wrong, but it looks an awful lot like him! That would explain why there are so many.
Dude,I did the same digging and came to the same suspicion. He died Oct 31 ,2013. he wrote around 200 of those spy books in all. The photos sure look like the same guy .
Well that’s very true because actually I didn’t think about that right off the bat my brother has a very large commercial landscape company and he only does business parks big shopping centers but no single-family dwelling in residential areas, it very well could’ve been a city mandate they have to maintain the place but it’s still a cool place
Some people have everything and some people have nothing. What a shame….what a waste. That poor cat. Left to starve…..what a damn shame. I wonder what’s in that house that he didn’t have. Great explore tho but very sad. I feel worst for the cat than I do for the guy. 😟
I've noticed something about people like this growing up. They have so much and get everything they want. They care so much about their lifestyle that they do not care about the small things in life that matter.
Good job on exploring… couple problems I have the items you always call “ polaroids“ are in fact “slides” also the secret door is an area what they call a crawl space… they are usually used for storage or in older houses air circulation and insulation….. have a good one bud!!
All the random stuff makes sense seeing as how he owned a party supply business. That could explain all the masks as well. Maybe the party supply had an adult section. I honestly think they were hoarders and just kept the hoard upstairs.
Everyone complimenting this dude on how respectful this guy is meanwhile after the camera stops rolling or even after he leaves a room his partner is the one going thru everything unbeknownst to ya'll! Haha
They owned a party company so buying in bulk was smart, SHE supplied customers with children’s birthday parties, not everything in this home is vile, mostly a Dear Mother and family
Salut, Just a guess; Gerard de Villiers was a French writer, his speciality was spy novels, pretty sure that is his home, the sketch in the first half of your documentary did appear to be him.... apparently he died on October 31st, Halloween 2013. Word I found; his family were among the last remaining 12 Templar families.... hence the mansion's castle motif and they were most likely of old money.... though, who really knows. I merely followed a hunch and took the name from the books you were examining and matched his face to the rendering. New sub here! ....be safe out there, Cheers!
@@kristagaulin4482 ....that had been my original suspicion.... I did recognize his name on those brand new books, then his similar appearance and not so tall height of 5'6" made him Gerard a near match.... but now, I am only hopeful instead and far less certain; for he was a man of great wealth, pumping out four or five books a year and banking over a million units each, but he was no regular bestselling author either; while boning up abroad on location for each newest book, he served his home ministry well and often, though clandestinely.... he was the spy who wrote spy novellas; one might wonder if Gerard received all his inspiration on the road, particularly the vivid sexual encounters purported to frequent every tale.... or so I have heard. What other favours did he collect on? ....sex and champagne, a neat deposit in a Suisse bank account every once and a minute.... and then, there is that mysterious Templar connection; wealth often tags along with books and the occult, not to mention the likes of a such a well connected lineage, especially one synonymous with high rank, so notorioisly colourful and equally ancient.... devoutly servile to a specific religious, sworn to cause. Does it sound strange that I might consider the just explored property below his measure, and too easy? Gerard would be the owner of a haunted chateau, with farm and vineyard, parking sports cars in his drive, with slips to a true yacht. While this is a very nice home, he might seek something decidedly mature or even grandiose, more opulent by comparison.... Though, I truly hope my first guess pans out as affirmative! Sending cheers and blessings!
@@jarmyvicious So how about this, this house is indeed his but it served as a secondary house that served for who knows which purposes lol, he maybe had another one more luxurious and in a more urban place
@@_Minos Salut, Good Day.... Just a lucky guess! ....never would have thought so without seeing the photo and drawing.... the place does seem to have the correct ambience. Thanks and Cheers!
I did research the location, it has been abandoned since 2016. The owner passed away, now the heirs are fighting over the residence. Often houses in Belgium are abandoned due to inheritance issues.

You find some of the best most well-kept places👌🏽 I'm actually into exploring and things of the sort even up until now if social media would existed when I was younger like in my twenties I would have definitely been exploring and I would have definitely made a career out of it I would do it now if I had a team
The funeral notice for the wife and no funeral notice for the husband suggest that she predeceased him. Perhaps in his old age, he was unable to keep the place clean and orderly. Clearly it was at one time. When he died, no one lived there to clean up. The mystery is that there were two children based on family photos. So this begs the question why did they not clean it up and sell the property? Tax problems or unpaid debts maybe?

Hi, from the USA. I loved the explore. The man must have been into war history since many of the books and videos you showed were of WWII and earlier. As to the nature of the house, it is confusing. Lovely place, but you couldn't salvage it with all the mold even if you tried now. I really enjoyed how you showed the details in furniture and other things. Quite a time capsule. @32 that is a copy of a famous fountain in Belgium. You can see the little spigots for connecting little water hoses to better imitate the fountain on which it is based.
I am new to this channel and have been binge watching. Great channel! As much as I love looking at the abandoned places, I am always more curious with videos, like this, when is seems like owners just disappeared. Like they were there one minute and gone the next and no one seems to know what happened.
My first impression of the house is that it was built originally as a church or monastery. Think most French are catholics so that may be why there's a statue of the virgin Mary inside and would explain the owner being discreet with the porn collection. I actually love the cover images of the smutty paperbacks and love how Big Bankz refers to them as "naughty" n "raunchy romance novels"! I hope those green, velvety upholstered, antique sofas will eventually be salvaged by someone who appreciates fine furniture. RIP dead kitty. Hi, the mounted deer foot was probably intended as a walking cane handle. The kitchen unite look very very much like the Wellman Oak Range (pronounced Velmann) made in Germany and were an expensive range of units.
This place was awesome!! All of the china, glassware and knick-nacks left behind is unbeleivable! What a shame personal items like thi pictures were left behind. Possibly they could not reenter after the home was taken over by the government.
The cheap bulk items are probably left from the party/novelty business they ran. It all looks like what you would buy from that type of store. The first set of china you found, the white with gold edging, is actually worth hundreds if not thousands of dollars. It's Noritake, if I'm seeing it right, so it's REAL China china. That's crazy that it's just there.
It kind of pisses me off that so many of these places are just sitting there rotting , when so many people are homeless,. This would be a great rehab center .
The first room is just gorgeously stunning. I can't believe that all the sterling silver left behind. That cart looked like sterling silver built. The golbles look sterling silver.

I could tell there was alot of expensive antiques including furniture. If this was in the States stuff would have been long gone
Lol, its mostly cheap junk. Chandeliers are molded not cut. Figurines are QVC junk. Grandma's green stamps china etc.
there were definitely way more valuable stuff, these are just the thing the rubes left behind. the safest things in abandoned places are books and art. looters are not into those things.
@@cagneybillingsley2165that’s because looters are not that educated to look at the books or paintings 😂
Follower from Philippines..addicted watching this kind of videos...😅😅😅❤❤❤
Hi from Scotland UK. AMAZING !!!!! I can hardly believe that thieves haven't been in and cleared the place. Great video guys. 😀😀😀👍👍👍
Pink and Green Decor. The ultimate 80's combination. If the walls could talk.
The old man that you showed the self portrait of is actually the author of those raunchy books you showed as well. Gerard De Villiers. Guessing this was 1 of his 2 homes. He was a very successful author who passed away in 2013, around the same time as the old lady you showed at around 31:10
He was French and lived there his entire life. This mansion is in Belgium
I think all the random toys are supplies from the party stores . I do love your video’s and your comments. Keep up the great job !
The castle look reminds me of castle boutique stores out here. They are adult stores. The little "polaroids" are actually slides. My grandparents had a lot. We had them transferred to DVD.
I was hoping someone would tell him they were slides
And whoever lived there appeared to be a hoarder.
I love the scriptures you post during the beginning of the videos!
Government and judicial mismanagement, at least have a yard sale before the feds confiscate everything especially if you know they're coming.
The small statue at 32:36 is a famous statue in Belgium. It’s not weird at all, it’s probably a souvenir from their travels.
Such a small kitchen for the size of the place. Thought that was odd. Really neat place though! Love your videos.
He said it was Belgium, lol.
Didn't you say on the beginning that he owned party stores, that would explain all of the random "bulk" toys and such.
Very sad.
That's just what I said. I have been a cat mommy for all my life and I'll tell you one thing cats are not stupid animals.
Very sad.
I couldn't help but feel sorry for the cat as well.
Yeah they should go to hell for that
I'm thinking they died maybe in some sort of accident just seems too odd soo much was left
This long abandoned house is cleaner and in better shape than most peoples homes.
Hello, happy new year’s to you 🎉
The deer foot is used as a rifle holder on the wall, there should be 2. Although, it could be used to hang anything you want on the wall.
@@dougliebrock761 is this his house?
@@dougliebrock761❤
Someone on here confirmed that was him and gave a bit of his story. Scroll up to find.
This house is in Belgium not France where Gérard lived.
The landscape looks really good for being abandoned!
May have some city ordinance that requires it to be mowed or neighbors are taking care of the yard.
Well that’s very true because actually I didn’t think about that right off the bat my brother has a very large commercial landscape company and he only does business parks big shopping centers but no single-family dwelling in residential areas, it very well could’ve been a city mandate they have to maintain the place but it’s still a cool place
@@DanielCValot hi happy new year’s 🎉
Some people have everything and some people have nothing. What a shame….what a waste. That poor cat. Left to starve…..what a damn shame. I wonder what’s in that house that he didn’t have. Great explore tho but very sad. I feel worst for the cat than I do for the guy. 😟
Agree❤
I've noticed something about people like this growing up. They have so much and get everything they want. They care so much about their lifestyle that they do not care about the small things in life that matter.
Good job on exploring… couple problems I have the items you always call “ polaroids“ are in fact “slides” also the secret door is an area what they call a crawl space… they are usually used for storage or in older houses air circulation and insulation….. have a good one bud!!
Crawl space is usually under the house. The space in this house is an attic.
@@brianknowles379 my grandmother’s place had the same thing in the attic
All the random stuff makes sense seeing as how he owned a party supply business. That could explain all the masks as well. Maybe the party supply had an adult section. I honestly think they were hoarders and just kept the hoard upstairs.
I spoke to soon, lots of rumaging on the bed room. Wow what a mess there. But down stairs was do beautifully kept.
Everyone complimenting this dude on how respectful this guy is meanwhile after the camera stops rolling or even after he leaves a room his partner is the one going thru everything unbeknownst to ya'll! Haha
Hence the backpacks
Yeah taking anything they can
Im tellin ya. these folks on RUclips are nice and easy. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
How do you think they get the money to fund these trips anyways? 😂😂😂
They owned a party company so buying in bulk was smart, SHE supplied customers with children’s birthday parties, not everything in this home is vile, mostly a Dear Mother and family
Salut,
Just a guess; Gerard de Villiers was
a French writer, his speciality was spy novels, pretty sure that is his home, the sketch in the first half of your documentary did appear to be him.... apparently he died on October 31st, Halloween 2013. Word I found; his family were among the last remaining 12 Templar families.... hence the mansion's castle motif and they were most likely of old money.... though, who really knows. I merely followed
a hunch and took the name from the books you were examining and matched his face to the rendering. New sub here!
....be safe out there, Cheers!
youre probably right, If you look up his name and look at the photos

Salut, Good Day....
Just a lucky guess! ....never would have thought so without seeing the photo and drawing.... the place does seem to have the correct ambience. Thanks and Cheers!
I'm surprised the yard is so well groomed. Love the castle part.
I did research the location, it has been abandoned since 2016. The owner passed away, now the heirs are fighting over the residence. Often houses in Belgium are abandoned due to inheritance issues.
Thanks for the info. What a absolutely beautiful home.
What is the house name?
Thanks you did more research than this dopey host
aids?
What is the name of the owner
This house has some amazingly beautiful furniture and those china dishes r so pretty. The cabinets wih all the glass ware r so beautiful so much to leave wow so sad about the cat. Broke my heart on that love animals i have 4 cats two dogs cant even think of losing them. 💔 never seen such beautiful homes cant believe how much was just left thank you 4 shwing.
You find some of the best most well-kept places👌🏽 I'm actually into exploring and things of the sort even up until now if social media would existed when I was younger like in my twenties I would have definitely been exploring and I would have definitely made a career out of it I would do it now if I had a team
Me too
Very interesting and Thank you for sharing with us.
As always great job!!! love your videos!!! Nice shirt by the way! Hogan was my favorite growing up! My parents still watch wrestling every Monday!!! Thanks for sharing this great find. Can't wait for the next one! And Happy Anniversary!!!!!

Just makes me sad about the cat. I can’t tell you how destructive and dumping humans are. Makes my heart hurt so much🤬
Maybe no one knew,,,
So sad about the cat! Why did this person leave? Nobody knew or cared about the cat? 😩
Super cool place! Would have loved to see how they lived. Such interesting things all around!
Hello, happy new year’s 🎉
Just love your videos It is sad to see these nice homes waste away But your videos are Awsome
Same here. Hi happy new year’s to you 🎉
Hi, from the USA. Take Care and Stay Safe.
@32 that is a copy of a famous fountain in Belgium. You can see the little spigots for connecting little water hoses to better imitate the fountain on which it is based.
Oh the poor kitty, so sad.
What a cool looking house on the outside, the deer hoof is a coat hook
I am new to this channel and have been binge watching. Great channel! As much as I love looking at the abandoned places, I am always more curious with videos, like this, when is seems like owners just disappeared. Like they were there one minute and gone the next and no one seems to know what happened.

I enjoy your videos of abandoned mansions.. I’m watching from La Quinta CA ..
Thank u
Big Bankz and Abandoned Nashville for ur heartfelt dedication to bringing us awesome weekly explores cuz they always inspire me to learn more. ✌
The people were Spanish... or someone was.
As a catholic I can assure you we have much more respect for our religion than to pray in something that awful
It’s killing me that someone put all that art in the absolute worst place, right under a giant window where it will all get damaged from the light.
Very nice explore keep going
I was listening to Rhiannon by Fleetwood Mac and came across the thumbnail for this. So, I tapped on it. I don't think it's going to play for me though. Probably because of all of the wind we're having. Never mind the upload started playing. I'm going to watch this. I'll comment after I watch it.♥🌈
In Europe the refrigerator is oftentimes concealed in a cabinet like that, even in modern residences. Very different from how Americans do things!
Hey, I've watched this before with you. I remember the big black gorilla. 😲😲😲😲😲😲😂😂😂😂😂. Some gorgeous stuff in there. Again its a sin for that house to be sitting empty. Beautiful artwork. Amazing. 🌿🌿❤🌷❤🌿🌿
Only reason I would know someone to leave everything is because of black mold. I love watching these.
Not sure if it was only the box but the Denon AVR-3805 was a high end Receiver many years ago.
I enjoy your videos and this place was just WOW! So much stuff left behind! If that jacket fits you and it’s in good shape take it! If not it will rot! Thanks for sharing your videos with us! Wish I knew where this house was located?
Hi, happy new year’s to you 🎉
Hi, the mounted deer foot was probably intended as a walking cane handle. The kitchen unite look very very much like the Wellman Oak Range (pronounced Velmann) made in Germany and were an expensive range of units.
Is it possible to maybe find out the story behind the houses and the family's on some of the houses?
Lot's of nice Pieces and a big place, Love the music!!!!!
Same here,hope you’re doing well?
Hi there new subscriber here from Australia I love how your so interested and so respectful towards this abandoned home I love the video ❤️🇦🇺
I just found your channel and I love the places that you visit. I think I have a lot of catching up to do.
Hi happy new year’s 🎉
This place was awesome!! All of the china, glassware and knick-nacks left behind is unbeleivable! What a shame personal items like thi pictures were left behind. Possibly they could not reenter after the home was taken over by the government.
Wow soooo much stuff. Very interesting house. Great explore!!! 🥰🥰🥰
The DVD collection that you showed Images de Guerre , means Images of War, obviously a military history enthusiast (among other things)
Love watching your videos! Audio on this one is up and down. Anyway, you can even out the audio? Sometimes, I can hardly hear you and in other shots I have to turn it down. And the music is extremely loud over all.
I look forward to your next video ♥
I just upgraded to a new mic so any videos I film from now on will have consistent audio!
@@BigBankz Nice slow camera panning makes good viewing. Thanks for these great videos.
I was looking up info on this mansion then found out you are also from Oklahoma so I had to sub.
What is wrong with ppl to just leave behind your animals to die??? At least bring them to a humane society to have a chance. That is totally disgusting
maybe they didn't have a choice? Maybe it wasn't even their cat...maybe it came in and died there. Only the previous owners of this house will know the answer to that. Its best to not judge without the full story
