I just saw this video, and did some googling, it was built in 2000, originally know as Pennington Estate, a prominent Lousianian oil family, originally know as Casa Lauren, it sold sometime 2020 for $16Mil and is probably going to reimagined and renovated into a beachfront hotel to fill the the remodeled interior
It was sold again in June of 2022 for 25mil to a developer who plans on building a 33-unit community with a beach club. Presumably the house will be demolished, or maybe it will be renovated and turned into the clubhouse. I've found nothing online suggesting the place was ever owned by a cartel.
I have the distinct impression that parts of the house have been detonated! Jeremy looks like he's been hitting the gym, however, which is enjoyable to see! :)

Awesome but sad video-my husbands ex boss built this home (costed $50 million dollars) back when it was finished and furnished omg it was gorgeous trust me we’ve spent a couple of summers there (I felt like Cinderella in a castle when we stayed there) and to see it like this breaks my heart. When I showed my husband this video he’s in a state of disbelief cause he helped to build this place and to see it in ruins is just mind blowing 😢 His ex boss was an oil man-he drove Mercedes, Jaguars, and Range Rovers (nothing too major but as you’ve said in your video a normal person dreams of having a place like this) Thanks for sharing this video with us, God bless 🙏😊
I don't think it's been trashed, but rather that the person who bought it (2020) planned to renovate it for his family, hence why there is no kitchen cabinets etc. The room with wood cabinet backing on to marble fire stack used to house wine floor to ceiling. Or at least that's what it looks like in other on line photos. Upon realising that it was way over his head to take it on, he chose to resell. It will now be demolished and new homes built on the plot each with own private pools etc.
My question has always been, there are SO MANY people in this world that have millions upon millions of dollars that COULD afford to buy this place and restore it. Why are places like this left abandoned? Why doesn't someone buy and restore it? Instead of leaving it sit in ruins and rot? It STILL looks like it's in good enough condition to where it wouldn't cost a large fortune to restore. (considering the price of the place and considering the person buying it has OVER $100,000,000. Something like this would be a drop in the bucket for them.
@@RUclipsPremiumMem Some people enjoy taking things apart and putting them back together. So why wouldn't they? I think the REAL question is, why were these places abandoned to begin with? Why aren't they just torn down? Why do we leave them standing? Does someone still own the property? Is that why? So many unanswered questions of WHY these places are left to decay and not restored, rebuilt or torn down and repurposed.
Cool mansion alright. The swimming pool seemed small - as if it was not for swimming but for cooling your feet. Probably figured there was an ocean for swimming.
The blown out door makes me, think it could have been a narco house. But it does look like a hurricane could have done most damage. The only thing that throws me off is the roof from outside looks intact and still looks good. A hurricane would have destroyed it completely or at least had massive damaged. Looks like it is probably Gulf Shores, Alabama or close to it. I wouldn't doubt a Louisiana Oil family owned it. Squatters could have damaged it more. What a terrible waste!
Add the beginning of this video I was hoping you didn’t chose the Munster drinks lol. Seriously I ended up with a pacemaker/defibrillator over them drinks. Don’t drink any of them just my advice from experience
Yet another prime example of someone with way to much money on their hands. Nothing against anyone with money or anything, just a shame they couldn't do anything to help the community instead of splurging on a home that is now rotting away.
Exactly! No one needs a house that huge and elaborate. Sure, live on the beach if you want and have a beautiful house, but this was a huge waste of space and money.

Gorgeous site!!! Definitely built to impress. If I was to reside there I'd feel like I was living in a museum or some such. If it was cartel, or something like that, could some of the destruction be from having a raid there? I can't even imagine a 25 car garage or having 25 cars!!! I would think there would be guards or a security force of some kind - if you have $$$$ to build that you might have other valuables.

Why would they bother?
@@RUclipsPremiumMem Some people enjoy taking things apart and putting them back together. So why wouldn't they? I think the REAL question is, why were these places abandoned to begin with? Why aren't they just torn down? Why do we leave them standing? Does someone still own the property? Is that why? So many unanswered questions of WHY these places are left to decay and not restored, rebuilt or torn down and repurposed.
Its cheaper to buldoze it and sell the land
when was this last occupied, do youi jhave any more back story on it if they were busted and the house repoed
Cool mansion alright. The swimming pool seemed small - as if it was not for swimming but for cooling your feet. Probably figured there was an ocean for swimming.
Great video and what a wonderful house. Is it for sale and what is the location? Malibu or santa Monica?
I think it’ll be so cool if someone could invest in this place. Fix it up, furnish it and maybe open is as a hotel or fancy guesthouse.
I just want to know how many bedrooms and bathrooms this mansion has!! Beautiful ocean/beach view 😍

I’m shocked that the police are not watching and patrolling this area on a regular basis and that you’re just able to walk on in.
police they're not going to waste time patrolling on abandoned mansion because nobody leave there no more
The blown out door makes me, think it could have been a narco house.
I won’t say where it is but I have been to this Estate. It is amazing! There was someone in a little apartment staying there with a separate entrance
Beautiful beach … the salt water and wind are so destructive on anything near them. 10 acres that’s amazing
What is the song and artist used in the intro of this video?
Man that thing was huge! Great explore Carter thank you! 💜🤟🏻🍀😎🇺🇸🇺🇦🕊
Add the beginning of this video I was hoping you didn’t chose the Munster drinks lol. Seriously I ended up with a pacemaker/defibrillator over them drinks. Don’t drink any of them just my advice from experience
This is def not a narco house, it was built by a rich oil family from the south. #facts
What ever happened in that Mansion, does anyone know?
That is way too much, wow!
If I owned that I'd choose to live in the guest house.
Thanks for the tour Big Banks!
👍👍👍👍
It's so depressing seeing such a grand place in that condition
Yet another prime example of someone with way to much money on their hands. Nothing against anyone with money or anything, just a shame they couldn't do anything to help the community instead of splurging on a home that is now rotting away.
Exactly! No one needs a house that huge and elaborate. Sure, live on the beach if you want and have a beautiful house, but this was a huge waste of space and money.
How do you know they DIDN'T help the community 🙄 you all automatically label people withoney a big homes as bad.Do better.
Misty Bomar do you help your community.... or where does it say that you have to help your community.im not sure if you're aware but drug lords always help their community because they ALWAYS start from the bottom
@@jenniferlumbra3853 does anyone tell you what to do with your money? I mean I'm asking because I don't even tell my teen daughters what to do with their money.
@@annetteaguilar2286 just trying to be argumentative or what? But since you asked, i help whenever and where ever i can. I really don't care what you do with your daughters. I make my money, so no, no one tells me what to do with it. And i am fully aware what drug lords do. I was simply making a comment. Sorry you got your feelings hurt.
