- Come chop and propagate my beautiful monstera albo with me!
Although it was painful to do so, it had to be done. It was getting too hard to care for it with the size it was, so it was time!

Beautiful monster! Can't wait for the monster babies update. Hope they all do well.
@@markuzp6364 thank you!! And for sure will do an update!
I CAN SEE AND HEAR THE NERVOUSNESS
@@teresacampbell5925 I was so nervous at first! 😂
Amazing video! Thank you for sharing your experience on how to remove cuttings from an established moss pole.
Oh and your Monstera was one of the most beautiful one I’ve ever seen on a moss pole.
@@yolyV-hg3uc thank you so much for the kind words!! 🥺
Awesome video! I just bought myself a cutting of an albo 😊
@@chrisplantguy amazing!! Hopefully it grows large and lush for you!
NEW SUB
@@lineage thank you!! 😊
Wow (albo) absolutely gorgeous! I have a tiny thai lol. Nothing compares to albo. Your cat is beautiful 😮💚
@@tattedkc16 thank you so much!! And your Thai will get huge one day, just be patient! 💚
Gorgeous Monstera Albo Phil! I did this myself recently and separating the moss from all the roots was a tedious task. I grew my Albo's on a Grow Thiccly poll so I didn't have to deal with a wire mesh. When I do this again I am going to try Molly's aroid mix instead of moss so when it is time to chop maybe it will be easier to separate. I am happy to say all my cuttings are thriving, this method is the only way to go! Beautiful job Phil and thank you for this great video!
@@nikkicanavan7354 thanks so much! Mollys aroid mix may be the way to go for next time for sure!
I also use grow thiccly moss poles for some of my other aroids and love them too!
Very beautiful monstera. Hope all the cuttings thrive again . ❤
@@dhrubajyoti001 thanks so much! They seem to be pretty good for the most part 🪴
My first monstera is on the way right now and I can’t wait for it to get delivered! I’d love to know how you keep it so white? Do you add silica? Thanks!
@@marinalex4702 good luck with yours!! They are amazing plants 💚 and I actually do not use silica. I attribute the whites staying white for so long on having majority balanced variegation and keeping the care for it as consistent as possible!
It must be sad to do that to such a beautiful monstera!!
@@Plantlifewithnina it was so sad! But had to be done. It was getting so hard to care for it when it was that large 🥲
Hey! 1:42, you played the same clip twice! Just letting you know ❤
@@ErisWhistles OMG 😆 I watched this before I posted and I totally didn’t even notice this! Thanks for letting me know 💚
I gotchu! I've done it b4 that's why it's best to tell ya❤
You might say this at some point in the video but I'm at the beginning - what strength grow light do you have in your cabinet?
I’m pretty new to this but how on earth did you get it to grow on just one be side and straight up?!? 😍
@@annaazouz9425 it was on a moss pole! It wasn’t completely straight up but they grow in the direction where they can latch on to.
@@philobrandon thanks! So the roots on the backside is air-roots? it looked moist
@@annaazouz9425 yeah! They are aerial roots that grow into a moss pole! I kept the moss pole well hydrated as well and it essentially works as an extension to the pot to help the plant take up more water & nutrients through the pole as well!
@@philobrandon cool! i would have been afraid that it would get root rot..? (sorry for my not-so-good-english 😅) You have done a great job!!
So glad I found your channel!! Those monsteras are so beautiful!
@@psiloveplants thanks so much! This plant was the queen of my collection!
We can't see!
It’s live now!
Such cuties! You the cat and the plants! ❤
@@jtravis217 thank you!
