- TPG UK’s Nicky Kelvin travels to Istanbul to give you a behind the scenes look at Turkish Airlines’ renowned kitchen. Their famous flying chefs share the inspiration behind their bespoke meals as they walk Nicky through Istanbul’s storied bazaars along the Bosphorus. After that, he travels to their on-site test kitchen at Istanbul Airport where he gets a chance to cook and prepare meals for travel.
He finishes out the trip by tossing the apron and hopping on a flight to try out some of the finest food Turkish Airlines has to offer.

I’m not going to lie, I was even smiling while watching the video. This was the most entertaining.
Me too!!! 😊
Honestly. This is one of the most entertaining videos you’ve made! I wound feel like a in a kid in the Willy Wonka factory! Great work to all involved!
I’m not going to lie. It was.
This video is the bomb. It is all things
As soon as Turkish is back in full swing, I am on it
Honestly on all my travelling journeys Turkish Airlines is my saviour. When I finally take my flight home with Turkish Airlines (starving on other airlines) their food make me so happy and I truly feel like I’m heading home with all the flavours that I’ve grew up with.
love the way Turkish Airlines prepare the food, exquisite!
Turkish Airlines and Turkish Doco performing great job in aviation, congratulations . one of the best airlines in the world. Nice video thank you.
no its not
we all seen pandemic times
Turkish airlines sucks when they make food on the pandemic time
so
I give zero to Turkish how they go with own personal !
The seabass looked fantastic it always tastes great when it's cooked in the unpapiot style it retains soooo much flavour
Amazing! I love THY, flying with them to Turkey and on to north Cyprus in June! I can’t wait!!!
Amazing bestie! 😍
Great stuff, more content like this, please!
We're on it! Stay tuned! More coming for sure :)
Some years ago, from Frankfurt to Istanbul a Family from US asked me how much the Food was on the Airplane after seeing the Menu. They could not believe the amount and the quantity of the food that was served at no charge in just a 3 hour flight (including beer and wine at no cost). Since then things went a little south mostly due to the Pandemic. Over a few decades, I Flew many times (Business and Economy) between US and Turkey. To be honest, even in the Economy quality of the food is way above than any other Airline. US Airliners are absolutely the Worst in business. You'll get a small package of chips and a can of coke between NY and LA during a 6 hour flight. They expect you to eat before the flight or bring your own food to the flight. Flight attendants hate their jobs and it shows from how they treat the Customers. There is a lot to say about them, but nothing will change the badly run US Airliners. Good job THY!
> nothing will change the badly run US Airliners
Americans voted with their wallets.
It's also because food is a very big part of Turkish culture 😊
I’m not a fussy eater but I stopped flying US Airlines years ago when I couldn’t eat anything but a bread roll and some crackers on a flight of over 14 hours from LA to Australia, it wasn’t because I didn’t like what the food was supposed to be but not only did it not resemble the menu item but it tasted spoilt. Off to Spain next week on Turkish Business Class 🎉
@@nurefsandavulcu6460 YES, IT IS. FOOD IS LIFE, FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
Turkish airlines is amazing, but there are ALOT worse than US airlines. Even that small bag of pretzels and soda is a lot compared to some in India haha
A great video. Turkish Airlines have gained an excellent reputation and are one of the worlds leaders in aviation.
Amazing video, incredible operations behind the scene at Do&Co. And very happy TK business class service (which is one of the best in the skies, imo) is back to pre-Covid 19 levels!
Turkish Airlines is one of the best airlines with their meals. We are proud of them.
Just had that sea bass main dish on my IST-LAX flight 2 weeks ago. It was awesome, along with the many other great food options. Very cool to see how it was prepared, thanks.
Lovely job! Also just look at the wonderful English of the Turkish flying chefs (1:10), unbelievable!
Brilliant vid - So looking forward to the end of june, when our first trip with Turkish in 3 years. Will take us from Copenhagen to Gazipaza/Alanya. Allways loved their catering, one of the best i´ve ever tried in the sky.
Amazing!! I had no idea Turkish is so precise when it comes to cuisine experience. I have to try out their business option next time
Great video. Made me miss Istanbul quite a bit, Cheers to Nicky and TPG!
What an absolutely fascinating documentary ! Turkish Airlines and its cuisine appears to be fantastic !
Absolutely brilliant content! Must say loved watching this, I love flying, planes and food, and Turkey is one of of my favourite places, and I love Turkish food. So glad this showed up on my feed 👍
This was so much fun to watch an had a bit everything: vlog-style travel tips for Istanbul, flight-vlog and learning about plane cuisine. Nicky is a great host as well. The quality of cinematography was excellent! Please do more videos like this one!
Love Turkey 🇹🇷❤️
Really enjoyed this video. This helped me make my choice to use Turkish for my next international flight.
Love the documentary style videos!
The best airline catering company on Earth; DO&CO! Enjoy the freshest and tastiest food on Board! :) and thanks to Turkish Airlines for working with them; The Best!
They were a delight to work with!
Fantastic, informative and entertaining video. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the background of the food served onboard. People are quick to knock airplane food but the skill and care that goes into it are truly amazing. Thumbs up from me 👍
This is the TPG content I appreciate, thanks for the great video.
I luv Turkish for the hospitality
Great, great, great video! I flew TK economy last weekend, and loved the food. Now you got me thinking seriously about booking business next time - just for the food! 😁
It seems Turkish has professional kitchen and meal operation. Also, it is interesting to see that there are different cuisine for different flights. I'm really sure that DO&CO has been doing R&D works for proper taste for citizens of the country which is flight destination and then prepare the special menu. I will be curious to see other airlines kitchens. Thank you @The Points Guy
Wow really amazing video and u did it with my favourite airline what a experience! Love it keep it up !
I've loved your videos but this has got to be my favourite. I am always curious about the behind the scenes! Would love to see more of these!
Love Nicky Kelvin’s content and like to see more!
I'm loving this format & series ! And besides Nicky never disappoints :)
Definitely one of your best videos. Beautifully filmed and and edited and charmingly presented
Amazing video, please make more videos of this production level!
There are more on the way!
This looks amazing! Can't wait to fly TK again soon!
When someone does it well, great. When you do it this well, it is such a joy to watch. A real pleasure.
The professional chef in the kitchen cooking yummy food...the super market wonderful video.. many items on selling... 💚🎉👍❤️I like your video!!! I am from Siem Reap Cambodia 🇰🇭🇰🇭🇰🇭!!!
This chef was on my flight on TK79 to SFO it was on my first business class journey ever and I had arrived from Mumbai and at the layover I was watching and then when I stepped onboard I recognized him.
Great ahaanawhagan
Amazing video! IDK how this does not have million views
😻😻😻 Turkish airlines = best quality
Such a great video. Loved to see how the food is made, I never knew they made the food and plated everything
I really liked this video! Would love to see more like this from other airlines…. So interesting 😁
Amazing video! Thank you. I am going to fly to Istanbul in September by Turkish airlines business class. I’m looking forward to having dinner on airplane.
Nicky, you’re such a fun host. Always a delight 👏🏽
Flew TK Airline business class a few yrs back and loved their hospitality. One of the cabin crew took time and had a quick chat with us which was nice.
Simply LOVE Turkey! The people are beautiful, the food is amazing. Can't wait to get back to Turkiye
Love this video and food is always so delicious flying tk
Awesome..Really incredible video man..Your contents are unique which makes interesting to watch
Loved it. Thank you!
Finally the video we've been waiting for has arrived.🤩 thanks Nicky Kelvin
This was utterly spectacular. If Turkish Air actually provides that type of culinary standard to Biz class they have truly set the bar beyond reach of most of their competitors. Well done TA…… extremely well done.
Way way more entertaining than the usual facility tours conducted by a particular middle east based RUclipsr. Looking forward to more such collaborative content with other major airlines!
Impressive operation, and looks delicious too. Are you watching this @BritishAirways? 🤔
Thoroughly enjoyed this video . Thanks ! 👍👍👌👌✌✌
Great video. It was fun watching it👏👏
Not gonna lie this could become a sieres and it would be brilliant as a proper documentary that I would definitely watch
Wow! Great video. I am even more excited now to fly business class on Turkish Airlines in Sept from Paris back home to New York. Thank you I am grateful
Great video
Went to Istanbul on Turkish airlines in spring 2019. Great experience on land and in air.
Best airline IMHO
Excellent video, Thank You.
No- Thank YOU, Carlos!
Very good job by Turkish airlines, I really liked this!
Thanks a lot! 😊 🇹🇷
Wow! the camera work in this video is outstanding.
Ok... I'm hungry now...
So interesting to watch, really nice video.
Interesting video. Thanks. 👍
Love it!
Thank you for this vlog. You have an amazing week. Ciao. 2022.
The food 10/10 amazing!
Super video! Love Turkish!
Great vid!
Very interesting video! I always love to fly with Turkish Airlines because of their great food and service ❤
Goodness me. I was just there in Istanbul 3 weeks ago and was snowing every single day and it only stopped on the very day of my flight. Even with heavy snow I still carried on walking around Istanbul regardless. Turkish food is amazing and I tried eating in a lot of restaurants. British Airways use Do & Co as their caterer and it's not as good.
This was so interesting.
9.53 lol that's very Turkish 😃 Thank you for the video and of course Turkish Airlines is my favorite Airlines.
I had the option to fly Turkish Airlines Business Class to Zurich from Kuala Lumpur in the middle of the pandemic, but I chose not to because their famous catering and flying chefs were dialled back to being very basic (I saw the reviews from during this time). I ended up flying Etihad and they had full meal service, which I appreciated.
I do hope to fly full service Turkish Airlines in Business at some point because I've seen and heard so much about the food/service. I also want to have some sort of long layover to fully utilise that amazing lounge. This video totally cemented that desire!
This was so cool to watch ...grate job. Wish i was you lol 🇦🇺💕👍
♥️ Turkish Airlines
Hey Nicky, which TK flight to JFK was that and when was it filmed? Thanks and great programme btw!
Great video
Lovely video
great content. I really like their food as a turkish citizen. The same food that is cooked by the restaurants does not give that taste. They are really professional.
Hmm. Never been on Turkish Airlines. After this 😋😋 video of their food I really want to fly Turkish.....and go t Turkey.
Nice video,Very delicious food
Tebrikler Eren...
0:02 It actually reminds me of that episode in ‘I Love Lucy’ where Lucy tries to package chocolates at a conveyor belt.
Very spectacular. Knowing this part behind the curtains is the best. Do all turkish business class flights have a chef?
Yes they do.
Wow
You are the best
the flying chef job is cool
wow 😍🔥
Süper.
Really interesting with the flying chefs, puts a whole new perspective on airline experience foods.
did you realize same food from all box to dishes ....so if anh of them chefs
I break my arm because im a chef !
🔥🔥
Have flown with lots of airlines, I am yet surprised why TK is not ranked among top 3, not because I am Turkish, the whole service is mind blowing. There is 1 gb wifi for gold members and business passengers. The food you see is for economy, damn good. Business class has its own cook! He flies with you!!! Flight attendees are very polite, I'd say up to par with SGP or Japanese airlines level.
Gurur duydum
Bende
interesante ami me gusta kebeb mucho
Turkish Airlines is expensive, but it's totally worth it.
💙
But how does everything get to the passenger in one piece? With all the bumps on the way to the loading truck, then driven to the plane then loaded onto the plane and through takeoff and everything else. Surely unless the roads are like carpet and the loaders carry the trolleys like newborns some things will fall out of place or do the cabin crew arrange it again before serving?
