-Pancakes with fruit in a plastic container
- Nasty chicken with some rice
-Two kitkats
- A sandwich

@@ahmadnabeel8315 economy gets food if the flight is long enough. I've flown in economy plenty of times on 11 hour flights and I have gotten a full meal. It's usually some pasta dish with chicken, salad, small dessert :)

@@dave5125 exactly this! People who fly economy are usually looking for the cheapest option to get from point A to point B. If you want a better in-flight experience, you have the chance for it but for a higher price.

CA to Hawaii. Only 5 hour flight. Price was not bad, I purchased early. You're treated like fine dining restaurant basically. And seats lay flat. Get off the flight first. And your luggage is unloaded off the plane first.
Worth only if you're flying a minimum of 9 hours. I rather fly economy and just buy a bunch of food and snacks before I board.

I actually watched a documentary last night on CBC The Nature of Things that indicated that it's likely the noise on airplanes that impacts our ability to detect flavour (both salty and sweet) while in flight - who would have guessed!? Apparently, our brain's focus on the noise detracts from our sense of taste. This gentleman indicates it's the lower humidity, which I imagine could also be a factor. Either way, looks like making things flavourful for airplane food would be very tricky!
This is for first class food. I don’t think they need chefs for economy seats.
I wouldn’t mind eating it out the packaging, but I guess it’s all about presentation so it’s on a plate. I remember the only meal I ever had on a plane was frozen in the early 2000s on Delta airlines. It was one of them frozen dinner meals you heat up in the microwave. They gave it to me with the plastic still attached. It was actually delicious. Now all, they give you is a small snack and a mini complimentary drink on economy.

Katie finally gets so close to "flying" first class...a comfortable seat, a great meal...but no destination included. One day she'll get that destination AND that hot fudge sundae (with the hot fudge on the bottom, so it doesn't melt the ice cream) and the slippers!

They used to give away decks of cards, pin on wings for kids, have real silverware. That was where the regular people sat. Although back then most people didn't fly.

I was in the seafood industry on the retail side for about a decade in the Pacific NW. The shrimp is mostly thawed from frozen to be cooked. Northing wrong with frozen as it keeps the flavor as "fresh" as possible from production.

The reason why he put so much salt is because when you ascend 30,000+ feet in the air, your taste buds become dull. lSo when you eat something that high up its tastes bland so they put lots of salt, herbs, and other types of spices so that i will give it flavor and it wont be as bland as before. Which is why he put so much salt in the first place.
