for those of you wondering DANE is not on tour anymore, he is selected as a wildcard everynow and then and surfs in a few comps, this year he is planning on surfing around 10 events. He HAS scored a ten, in fact he got one of the first 10's in La Gravierre france at the Quik pro 2012 and at the Pipe masters a few days ago, he now has 2 in the last 4 months, many more to come. and without a doubt he is the Greatest surfer on the planet right now!

Shows how much "politics" plays a role in judges minds. Just like officials throw a football game, judges determine who wins a heat and thus progresses to the next round. Solution? 1) put a speedometer in the board to measure boardspeed 2) put a altidudinometer in the board to determine aerial height and hang time. 3) Give a "tertiary score" based on average points of all waves ridden. This would give each surfer 3 scores instead of 2 and take more rides into account.
