The Candymen - Papers

This is the same Candymen that backed Roy Orbison.
This is The Candymen's final release, being released in 1970. It's also their only record not on ABC Records, so I'm assuming they got dropped from ABC, signed on to Liberty Records where they didn't have any luck and they probably just backed Roy Orbison until breaking up in 1972. 'Happy Tonight' is a pretty nice pop number with a strong acoustic guitar, mellow vocals, and an orchestral backing. 'Papers' is a strong, groovy, psychedelic instrumental.
