I think I may know the bell issue you're having. That sounds like a QS-1 sound system, which was QSIs first sound system for locomotives. In Reset #20, they have a system type configuration for the various transformers. When in reset 20, press the whistle button. You'll hear a bell sound. To operate the bell separately, you want to be in system 2, which you'll hear 2 bell sounds when pressing the whistle button. Then after that go to reset 25, which will allow you to choose if you want whistle or bell in neutral. Press the whistle button once for one ding, press it again for two dings, which will turn the neutral whistle on. Exit out of reset and you should be good to go.
@@UncleSalty-nz5uk QSI did leave a hidden feature in a handful of these QS-1 sound units. After getting out of reset, put the engine in neutral prior to forward, turn the bell on, run it forward, then backwards and blow the whistle 3 times while doing so, put it in neutral prior forward then turn the bell off then run it. You might hear it say "I think I can". There are no guarantees that it will, but it's worth a shot.
Great review! I love these brass locomotives from the 90s. I'm sure you've seen my Williams GS-4 Daylight, but I also just acquired a Weaver PRR L1S 2-8-2 with QSI sound and coil coupler. Would it be possible to do a video on your Williams Niagra and Mikado? If not no problem. Keep up the great videos!
@WilltheTrainandAnimeFan Alot. Gp9,SD-9, Gp38, Sd70, Sd40-2, As-616, Fp-45 and H10-44 on the Premier side. Railking steam I have SP cab forward, UP fef and C&O berkshire. Probably missing some lol.
Had a Tamiya frog, took me and my dad a week to put it together and the batteries literally took 24 hours to charge. Beautiful locomotive at any rate!
Very cool loco and overview!!! Mmmmm….fried bacon! I’m gonna have to try that one!! 😎
Thanks! I'll get that Chevelle video up before the weekend is up.
It’s all good!! No hurry at all!!
Great video, beautiful brass Camelback. I’m definitely gonna have to try that fried bacon scent and see how my cats react to it. My cats love bacon! 😂
IT'S truly comical at our house!
I told my wife, she wants me to find it and buy it. 😂

I thought about that since I've programmed most of my proto1 locos for horn in neutral. Thanks, I'll give it a try.

Right on. I'll give that a try. Think that will work for the older MTH gp9 with the battery switch? Does the same thing.
@@UncleSalty-nz5uk sorry, it only works with steam engines and not available on proto sound engines.

I absolutely love your GS-4! Yes I will do a review on both those locomotives you mentioned.
@@UncleSalty-nz5uk awesome! Thanks buddy
No problem! Both are non-sound, but great models nonetheless. That weaver L1S is gonna make me real jealous!
Amazing engine Uncle Salty.
Thank you sir
@@UncleSalty-nz5uk got any Right of Way steam engines?
@@huntercoleman460 I do not
Nice review! Do you have any QS2+ or QS3000 engines that you would like to show? Just wondering
Thanks! The only other non-MTH locomotives I have with QSI are Weaver U25b and Alco Rs11. Unique, but not too exciting.
@@UncleSalty-nz5uk ok. Which MTH Engines with QSI Sound do you have? Again, just asking.

@@UncleSalty-nz5uk that’s awesome! QSI is the best sound system in my opinion.
@WilltheTrainandAnimeFan I agree. ABA set of E8s and an F59 I think are the one I missed.
