160 hits are you kidding me his defense is no difference than what we saw with Justin turner 14 million is a steal for 120 hits we need this guy period
Finally a man with some sense. Forget WAR, he puts the ball in play. How many times last year did we load the bases or have a RISP w/ no outs only to have the next three batters strike out? How many times have we needed just a base hit? Who cares if he can't steal bags. Yes, a .300 hitter makes the team better. Why is this a question?
Frazier never hit over .300 before that season and was mostly due to his time in Pittsburgh. Frazier batted .276 in SD while Arraez batted .318 in SD. 86 OPS+ for Frazier vs 108 for Arraez in SD. Arraez also a couple years younger. M’s need to make something happen and would love to see Arraez and Robles hitting in front of Julio, Cal and Arozarena or even later in the lineup. Turner probably getting around 12 million so I’d take a chance at Arraez.
I’m just hoping with Gilbert, he doesn’t get the Felix’d, right now I hope he’s starting to get into his really good years, but I just would hate to see a guy as good hearted as Gilbert just rapidly decline. I hope they pay as close attention to him so that they can prevent that from happening to him. Because I had a vision about that happening with him, and I think there are other people who have the same vision and hope that we can keep him safe.
@ulikemykungfu3995 Yes, and I think it’s really good he has made it so early in his career, but I see a couple similarities between him and Felix, particularly in the innings department, and I’m just hoping that he doesn’t work his arm out completely and then completely just fall off the face of the earth, and his velo starts declining, etc. I might be just yapping to some people, but I just would hate seeing that kind of thing happen to someone as talented and as good hearted as he is, if you’ve met the guy before you wouldn’t want something like that to happen.
And to include, I really am sad that is what happened with Felix, not just because the fans loved him, but he loved the team and city he played for, that’s a guy you want as your main poster guy, regardless of if he hits or pitch. And it’s an absolute damn shame that he pitched for the team during arguably the most depressing Mariners ERA, and he never made it to the playoffs.
@@MarinerMojoOfficial bat him 4th or 5th, and he will get way more rbi's (if we get people on base lol) arreaz whole problem is that he is being batted lead off, it minimizes his strength which is getting singles
To be fair, Julio's OBP was .325 last season, which is .21 lower than Arraez. Also, to be fair to Adam Dunn, he had a 100+ BB season 8 times...... But hey, the Mariners did sign a new player, so there's that!
Is it fair to say that he will drastically be an upgrade at 2nd base compared to the last 3-4 players we tried to fill in at that position. Defensively, probably not but Perry Hill should help. Offensively, 100% and at this point we need offensive.
Idk about you but I’m all in on the double Mitch-Wich. Who cares about winning, the Mitch-Wich is a huge success, and makes Daddy Stanton tons of money
🤔 is Solano not a big enough acquisition to prompt a live. Lol common they just filled 3rd, 2nd and 1st with one guy, all jokes aside seems like a solid add
• Near infinite resources to put towards his development • Proven track record (they just won the world series) • Prestige team that’s extremely popular in his home country (for an American team) • He’d get to live in the Los Angeles area (which may not be appealing to some of us, but for others may be a major draw) • Massive local market for potential sponsorship deals and appearances Honestly the reasons are myriad, there’s a bunch. If you were a baseball player with no existing allegiances, you’d sign with the Dodgers or maybe the Mets right now, right? Because those are the teams that are both winning already and are willing to spend money to keep that going.

Amen!
So tired of these analytics guys.
The guy hits the baseball and gets on base. Perfect swing and player for T-Mobile park

This would be perfect. We need a good contact hitter. Are teams batting was compared to the white socks

At least he has made the playoffs. And played pretty damn well. Felix never got that chance.

He 100 percent makes this team better
Ehhh

Donovan Solano, finally something!!
Could perry hill work with him on his defense
Can we just get Arraez to hit and bring back Rojas to field and hope no one notices they’re completely different men?

I think Mitch Garver will have a bounce back year.
It would be nearly impossible for him not to. How could it be any worse?

Very true to that.

Padres will not eat any of the contract, if money is the biggest problem they’ll just non tender him

Arreaz is one of those guys that plugs a hole, but doesn't really move the needle (unless someone can teach him how to play defense).
No need to trade for Arreaz whe. We signed Solano... keep Young!!!

Not anymore
Dodgers buying themselves a 2nd chip while we sit here on our thumbs. 😒
he's coming to Seattle and that's final
For the right price, that's fine
@ sorry I mean Roki is
OH my bad! I mean hell, if he does come here then I'll change my tune on this offseason
@@MarinerMojoOfficialwe’re all getting jerseys and going out together if he does

I don’t understand why the Dodgers are inevitable. No one has said why. The only thing I hear is because “every one thinks so.”
Because they are willing to do what it takes to win. There's is not a single team in baseball more appealing to play for than the Dodgers right now

The Dodgers may have been in the postseason almost every year for the past decade, but how many times have they won? 😂
Twice :)
@@MarinerMojoOfficial yup. Losers. Lol
2 more times than the mariners have in 30 years
"Self burns, those are rare"
Again, no. No power and he doesn't walk enough(only 24). yes he makes contact but his defense isn't great either.
